6 Taming

With Lou ShenRu's serious expression, Elder Quin who had been silently watching suddenly sighed. He tries to hide the discomfort in his heart.

"Grandfather, it's getting late. The young masters are worried, we have to take her home." Lou ShenRu said with seriousness in his voice.

The old man nodded. "You can find her at Rain Forrest. You will find a hut near the lake. That's where she always stays."

"Rain Forrest?" Lou ShenRu wrinkled his brows. He looked at the old man with disapproving eyes. He tried to suppress his anger. "Why did you keep it from us? You know how the first young master strictly forbids anyone to enter that place!"

He thought of the Rain Forest, it is owned by Mo YuMin, but the place is forbidden to everyone, including YuYan. But the old man did not answer his question while a bitter smile appeared on his lips.

Lou ShenRu took a deep breath. "Is this why you took time to speak with me?" He said while trying to stop his anger.

Unfortunately, Elder Quin did not answer. He just continued to smile at his grandson which means a default that made Lou ShenRu shake his head and wave his hand to say good bye.

On their way to Rain Forrest, it took them an hour to arrive at the entrance where a high gate with high voltage wires as its fence.

Lou ShenRu knew that this place is protected to preserve it's natural environmental landscape but the severity of the defense is suspicious.

Lou ShenRu: "..." Isn't this a bit too much?

Entering the gate, the gatekeeper made a salute when he saw Lou ShenRu's group arriving.

Cars were parked beside a small wooden house where the gatekeeper lives. They immediately get down as they will need to walk for 30 minutes to reach the lake.

The sun has already gone down. They took flashlights even though the moon has started to shine giving them light to see the road.

When they're about to reach the lake, they heard a girl's lovely voice singing such a sad song. With her clear, water-like voice singing a lullaby sounding song, made their hearts feel calm.

The lyrics of the song seems to be for someone special. The sadness of being separated but vowing to love and wait for each other forever.

Since when did she liked this kind of song?

Lou ShenRu look at YuYan with curiosity while she is sitting on the edge of the lake. He can only see one side of her pretty face.

Warm and kind looks are visible in her eyes while she's staring at the stars. YuYan seems to be looking at somewhere far beyond the eye could see.

When Lou ShenRu is about to call her name, YuYan raised her hand, took a bottle then suddenly drink a mouthful of wine.

Lou ShenRu: "..." She's actually drinking!

Satisfying her throat, YuYan is about to continue singing but is stopped when one of the guards accidentally steps on a dried branch. Creating an unpleasant cracking sound.

YuYan's face instantly turned black, she turned her head towards the source of the sound. Her eyes gleaming with unexpected cold murderous intent.

Everyone: "..."

With a shock heart, Lou ShenRu almost stepped back. He tried to calm his trembling voice. "Hey sweetheart, we finally found you." His voice is soft and sweet.

He smiled at YuYan with gentleness, all the while calculating her moves. Thinking that the little girl might run away again.

Surprisingly, YuYan did not move at all. She just stared at Lou ShenRu with dissatisfaction on her face.

"Sorry, we didn't mean to interrupt you from singing. It's the first time I heard you sing, can you sing more for me?" Lou ShenRu said as he tries to pamper her like he used to.

"You're not worth it." YuYan suddenly said with an irritated voice.

Lou ShenRu: "..." That hurts!

Ignoring his hearts discomfort after recovering from disbelief, Lou ShenRu continued to get the girl's attention while slowly walking forward to approach YuYan..

"Young miss, your brothers are waiting for you. Let's go home. Please come with us peacefully." Lou ShenRu said with a serious voice.

"Why should I listen to you?" YuYan asked in an aggravated voice while she stares at Lou ShenRu in disdain.

Lou ShenRu: "..." Great! What do I expect? It looks like she's drunk!

Trying to suppress his anger because of YuYan's unusual behavior. "If you won't come with us willingly, I'm afraid that I don't have a choice but to take you by force." Lou ShenRu reminded her.

"Try me." YuYan said, a mocking smile appeared on her lips.

Lou ShenRu: "..." Do you want to challenge me?

Unfortunately, before Lou ShenRu can say another word, YuYan unexpectedly made a move to hit him that startled him. Not expecting her sudden attack.

Lou ShenRu tried to dodge but it was a little too late. He was hit on his chest. He went flying like a broken kite and slammed on a tree before he spit a mouthful of blood.

When he was about to get up from the ground, Lou ShenRu heard a heartbreaking cry.

"Ah!"

Lou ShenRu was stupefied watching each member of his group being sent flying one by one. They slammed on the ground, groaning in pain.

Damn little beast!
