8 Take over

When Lou ShenRu tried to stabilize his body, he was momentarily distracted and it was too late when he saw the man suddenly attacked from behind hitting his back.

Bang!

Both of them flew like a kite and stumbled on the ground, but he never let go of her. Keeping the girl protected in his arms while he spat more blood.

In his arms, Yu Yan slowly opened her eyes. Staring intently at him with her clear black eyes, she looked at Lou ShenRu's pale face like the blood no longer exist in his skin.

When Lou ShenRu felt that YuYan is finally awake and is staring at him, he tried to sit and looked at her but the girl's eyes looks like a black hole pulling his soul.

Lou ShenRu patted her head and smiled sweetly at her. "It's okay, you'll be alright." He said with gentleness on his voice.

Turning his attention back to the man who's trying to kill YuYan, Lou ShenRu tried to get up but his body is too weak because of his injuries.

When he was about to stumble, a soft warm body suddenly embraced Lou ShenRu. He did not expect that he will be supported by YuYan.

He glanced at her then turned his head back to look at the opponent. Watching his moves while thinking about ways to protect her against him.

This man is strong!

Lou ShenRu is silently panicking in his heart. Glancing at his subordinates who were sent flying one after another, falling to the ground, and spitting mouthfuls of blood.

He bit his lip trying to suppress his anger, Lou ShenRu started to hate the feeling that he is not strong enough to protect YuYan.

However, suddenly Lou ShenRu felt something soft and warm lips on his cheek. YuYan kissed him!

Lou ShenRu: "...."

What... What just happened?!

His eyes widened, while he subconsciously looked at the girl in his arms. Disbelief clearly written all over his face.

However, YuYan was just staring at him with a devious smile. On a closer look, it was a kind of smile that Lou ShenRu have never seen her wear before. Also her cold eyes that seems to evoke her inner desire.

At first, Lou ShenRu felt his cheeks are burning while his heart started pumping like there is a mouse running inside.

After Lou ShenRu saw her smile, it didn't take long when his heart suddenly felt a chilling sensation that ran through his veins and seeped to his bones.

There was a sudden drop of temperature in the surrounding area but it was weird because Lou ShenRu's back is saturated and a tremendous amount of sweat is continuously trickling from his forehead.

He opened his mouth to speak, but didn't know what to say. Lou ShenRu was totally speechless until he heard the girl giggled in a cold but playful voice.

Watching Lou ShenRu's face that kept on changing from one funny expression to another in an instant, YuYan seems to be enjoying it. "Big brother RuRu, you're hurt, you should rest, let me play with my new toys then we will go home. Okay?"

Lou ShenRu: "..."

Big brother RuRu?

When was the last time someone called me that way?

Twelve years? No, it has been almost thirteen years now.

But what happened? Why did she suddenly call me that way?

Why does it seem that she changed?

After hearing those words, Lou ShenRu's heart started pumping hard like it's about to explode while he kept on staring at her beautiful face.

There are words that Lou ShenRu is forbidden to speak, but there are questions that he wanted answered. Staring at her still beautiful smiling face despite the absence of her usual gentle and tender looks.

Lou ShenRu wanted to say something but when he tried to speak, there were no words that came out from his mouth.

Watching him with a surprised look written on his face, YuYan helped him to lean on a tree before she stood up and turned to face the enemy.

The man who was standing on the same spot, felt proud after his attack. He successfully sent the two of them flying and had them collapsing on the ground.

Even though they cannot see his face, his eyes shows how happy he is. Thinking that they were easy to conquer.

However, Lou ShenRu doesn't know that his enemy is starting to feel nervous silently.

The man did feel the change in the atmosphere after the two fell on the ground. He knew it was Yu Yan and he was looking at her in disbelief.
