10 Awkward moment

Ariadne opened her eyes early the next morning. She found that the night was peaceful and nice, she had not imagined that sharing a room with someone she hated could be so nice.

Her pillow was softer than usual, she didn't wake up even once in the night. What more was the wonderful dream that she had.

She blinked the sleep from her eyes and moved to get up. She realised that she couldn't move, not particularly but something was holding her down.

She turned her head and checked at her waist to notice a hand wrapped around her. Her face twisted at this, turning her head back she froze.

She was laying right on top of her husband and their bodies were too close for comfort. Her face was inches away from giving the man a kiss, if she were too lose her balance then their lips would collide for sure.

The soft pillow that she was thinking about happened to be her husband's chest. She cursed herself, all the preparations that she had made to keep them apart only to wake up in his arms.

She tried to get up without waking up the man. She was not in the mood to get lectured by him, he would probably think that she had invited him to the bed to get close to him.

She pulled herself up only to fall back down from Draxan increasing the force on his hand. Ariadne gritted her teeth in anger. She was trying her best to leave without waking him and he was making her work so much harder.

Unknown to her was the fact that Draxan had woken up before her, he had gotten used to getting up before dawn to get his excessive started. If he was to compete with women then he needed all the training he could get.

When he woke up he noticed how close the two of them were, they looked like a normal couple cuddling in each other's arms. He was going to get up and leave without waking the princess. He didn't want her to have any thoughts of the way they were.

He didn't want her to think that he had purposefully taken her into his arms. That was when the princess started moving like she was about to wake so he had to pretend that he was still asleep.

He was having fun playing with the princess, it was clear to him that they had the exact reaction to how close they slept together. And just like him the girl was trying to leave discreetly but he wasn't going to let her leave easily.

Ariadne let out a tired sigh. It was stressing to try and leave the bed so she decided against it. While she was so close to him, she got a better look at the man laying asleep beneath her.

His features that had captured her heart for the first few seconds when they met. The way that he looked before he opened his cursed mouth to talk to her.

Her fingers curiously made their way to his face, she caressed his jaw lightly. Tracing his jaw line, she wondered how someone who looked so peaceful and handsome when sleeping could be so irritating and annoying when awake.

'Why can't you he this cute when you are awake?' she asked in her mind.

She bit her lower lip and dared to move her finger to his lips. The very lips that had stolen her first kiss, she touched them lightly. Her heart thumped in her chest afraid that he might wake up.

When he didn't move, she braced herself and traced her finger on his lips repeatedly. She recalled the kiss that Draxan had given her, the passionate way in which he had stolen her breath and blown her away.

She would like to say that he was a very good kisser but she had no one to compare him with. He was her first kiss and if she were to be honest, the kiss was better than what she had read them to be.

If only it wasn't him, she would not have minded asking for another kiss. As long as she was not asking Draxan for it. She would rather not go down that road if it meant bowing her head to an egoistic man like her husband.

Her heart nearly stopped beating when Draxan took hold of her finger in between his teeth. He didn't bite her painfully, just enough to trap her finger and let her know that he was awake.

He opened his eyes slowly pretending that he had only then woken up. He looked at her and she paled. Terror overtook her at being caught read handed, seeing Draxan awake made her heartbeat faster.

Draxan moved his hand on her waist to caress her back. Ariadne's face flushed at the nerve of the male to touch her. But she couldn't speak when she herself had done the same thing to him.

"M..my finger," she let out in a stutter. Ariadne bit her tongue hard for it, it was so embarrassing to stutter in front of the man that she despised so much.

Recognition dawned on her that he affected her. She didn't like that one bit, they were enemies and she had married him only to break him. This that was happening was in no way part of the plan.

Drax let go of her finger but didn't let her go. "Tell me princess, what were you doing?" he questioned to her.

A blush crept into Ariadne's cheeks hearing his question. She couldn't admit to him that she admired his looks and was busy thinking about the kiss they shared to realise that he was waking up.

She couldn't come up with a reason to explain her actions. It made her angry to be backed to the corner by the man, it was not okay with her.

"You can tell me if you there was something you desired right?" he whispered to her ear. His deep horse voice made her shiver, his hot breath hitting her skin gave her goosebumps.

"I am your husband after all," he added.
