An awkward morning

Ariadne was lost looking into his deep eyes. She could see herself in his eyes which didn't help the situation. All she could see was him staring right at her and how that made her feel.

She had no idea why she felt so breathless knowing that he was only looking at her and nothing else. She should be up of the bed for her morning training but she didn't want to leave his arms.

She wanted to be with him and stay in bed the whole day, she blinked when her own thoughts began to scare her.

She moved away from Draxan to get up from the bed when she felt a hold to her hand. She turned her head to find her husband holding her hand. The place that he touched felt so warm that a part of her didn't want him to let go.

"Let go," she said even thought part of her body was against the idea.

Draxan pulled her back to the bed and surprisingly she fell. She wasn't expecting him to pull her or for her to easily fall on back. Her hair scattered messily around.

She pulled her hair up in order to see. She gasped and leaned back on the bed when Draxan hovered above her. He used his hands to keep her from leaving.

He was curious to see how far he could push the process. He wanted to see if she would react to his teasing or not.

Ariadne wanted to glare at the rude boy but each time she locked eyes with him she would forget her anger.

'This is madness,' she thought to herself. Indeed, she was the great princess of Acceradia and everyone who knew her feared her and they were right too. She was a dangerous person and yet her weak husband was actually keeping her and her strength couldn't help her.

Her physical strength was nothing compared to whatever he was doing to her. It was like her mind was not her own, and she couldn't convince her body to push him away.

With his right hand, he drew a line on her arm moving up. Ariadne's flesh tingled where his hand touched. Such were emotions and reactions that the girl had never felt in all her life and hence she had no clue how to stop them.

"Stop," she said weakly. She closed her mouth shut unable to recognise the voice that just spoke. It was not her own normal voice, her voice was usually confident and stern. Never weak and pleading.

Draxan smiled at how cute her voice sounded, it was adorable compared to the other tones he had heard her use.

Ariadne gritted her teeth seeing the smile on his face. To her it looked like he was toying with her. It felt like an attempt to humiliate her and if that was the case then it worked.

The nice feeling that she felt withered with her train of thought. Anger bottled up inside her, she forcefully grabbed at his shirt. Flames of anger shot through her eyes, her fury was on every nerve of her body.

She wanted to question him but held back. She didn't want to entertain anymore, she moved off the bed very fast and headed to the bathroom. She shut the door behind her very loudly, her bath water was not ready since the maids had not come to prepare it.

She folded her hands into a fist and hit the wall really hard. Just what she needed another thing going wrong that morning.

Draxan was left on the bed soeechless. He had no idea what was wrong, one minute the arrogant girl was sweet and adorable and then suddenly a fire-breathing dragon appeared from her.

He couldn't see what could have triggered her anger when they were just having fun. But he didn't waste time on it, he needed to get some training done for the morning.

He got up and went to the wardrobe to select his outfit for the day. He pulled at the handle of the wardrobe when the bathroom door opened. His attention was drawn to her, Ariadne was so angry that she wanted to kill the first person she saw.

Her eyes happened to meet with Draxan's eyes. It only upset her more to see the face that mocked her first thing in the morning.

She moved to the door ignoring the male and opened the door. The soldiers outside the room looked at her and bowed in greeting.

"I need to take a bath, find my servants and let them know that if my bath is not ready in the next three minutes. I will have then beheaded before the whole palace," she uttered angrily and slammed the door.

The anger she was feeling oozed out of her making Draxan worried. He hated violence and his wife looked like she would behead the servants just for coming to the room.

He strode over to her calmly to talk. He hoped he could calm her down at least for both of them to have a good day.

The Princess stood staring at the door. It was utterly ridiculous that she was waiting for servants who should be waiting on her. It irritated her.

She felt warm arms wrap around her waist and froze. She was not used to anyone touching her when she was mad. Not even her mother dared to do that, but the thought of the person touching her only added fuel to the fore burning in her heart.

"Didn't you have enough fun embarrassing me earlier. What more do you want?" she questioned to him. She turned to face him glaring daggers at him.

Draxan raised his brows at her accusation. 'When did I do that?' he asked in his mind.

He could clearly tell that he was responsible for her anger but he had done nothing wrong. To him it felt like the princess was just looking for reasons to be angry at him.

But he was no punching bag and he had not done anything to warrant her anger so he wasn't going to stand for it just because he was a man.

"I want nothing from an arrogant girl like you," he let out matching her gaze.
