Love Behind the Mask

Quiet. Only the rumble of the car engine was heard. Jessica was driving with a blank stare. His chest was tight, and that dark past continued to imprint on his memory.

Three years ago.

"QUICKLY GET OUT! I DON'T WANT TO HAVE A CHILD LIKE YOU! YOU'RE NOT MY SON ANYMORE!!" A woman screamed at the door of her house full of anger.

"Please don't Throw Me Out, Mom!" A guy dressed like a girl, crying hysterically hugged tightly the legs of the Mama.

"DON'T TOUCH ME!!"Rita kicked Frando off his leg until the guy crashed and fell to the floor. "I don't care where you're going?! Either you live under the bridge, in front of the shophouse! THAT'S NONE OF MY BUSINESS!"

"QUICKLY YOU GET OUT OF HERE! I DON'T WANT TO SEE YOUR FACE AGAIN!!"Rita shouted . His eyes glazed over, enduring a turbulent sense of disappointment and hurt.

"I beg you, Mom, " Frando immediately hugged Mama's feet tighter. "I beg your pardon—"

"Shut up!" Rita immediately closed her ears. "Enough!" he was screaming hysterically. The crying broke out again. "I don't want to hear your voice anymore!! Get the fuck out of here!!! Hurry up!!!" Rita rudely pushed Frando off his feet.

Frando shook his head quickly and clasped Rita's legs tighter and tighter. "Please don't throw me out! I really mean—"

"I SAID GO! ARE YOU DEAF, HUH?!"Rita pushed Frando roughly.

Frando remained unmoved, looking at Rita full of regret. "I'm sorry, Ma. I'm really so sorry!"

"You are really stubborn!! Do I need to kick you out by force, huh?!!" Rita glared in Wrath. "All right! You asked for it!" She immediately dragged his eldest son to the fence.

"Big Brother!!" Selina screamed hysterically from inside the House. The crying broke out. He tried to help his brother, but his hand was held by his father.

"Selina, Let Your Big Brother go," said Edgar, trying to be firm in front of his daughter.

"No!" Selina looked at Papa with disappointment.

"I won't let Big Brother go! Let go of Me, Dad!" He was struggling with all his might.

"You better be quiet! Do you want me to lock you up in my room?!"Edgar snapped angrily.

Selina cried hysterically. "YOU GUYS ARE REALLY EVIL! YOU HAVE NO HEART! WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS TO BROTHER ANDO, HUH?!!"

The mothers and neighbors were already crowding the fence to watch. They whispered to each other with various expressions. For some reason, Frando, whom they once knew as a man, even turned into a beautiful woman.

Rita opens the fence and pushes Frando's body off his feet, knocking the guy to the ground. "Go!! DON'T YOU EVER COME HERE AGAIN, ALL RIGHT!" It immediately closed the gate and padlocked it.

Frando immediately rose to his feet.

"MAMA!! PLEASE!!"Frando tried to grab her hand while crying hysterically. "PLEASE DON'T THROW ME OUT!! I PROMISE I'LL CHANGE!! I'LL DO EVERYTHING MAMA SAYS!!"

Rita walked towards the house crying hysterically. "Sorry Mom, Honey. Mama wants you to learn from the mistakes you made."

Slowly the crowd dispersed, with no one entertaining or caring for Frando.

Frando tried to contain his feelings. He gathered his clothes scattered on the ground and put them in a bag while sobbing.

Now, he's completely on his own. Neither his family nor his friends loved him.

Frando got up and looked at the house for the last time.

'You guys are really cruel. If this is your will, fine! I'll go. I will never again appear before you, forever. Frando's gaze turned sharply. The feeling of hatred runs deep in him.

'I'll repay you later. See if I succeed. I wouldn't consider you my parents.'

'But for Selina, big sister will definitely come back.'

Frando smiled miserably, his tears falling again.

'Goodbye.'

A loud bang was heard filling Jessica's car.

Jessica gasped in surprise and spontaneously hit the brakes. His eyes widened perfectly and his body tightened.

For a seconds, the world seemed to stop for Jessica. Jessica covered her mouth with a look of shock.

'Did I just hit someone!?'

"Hey! Get out! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE, HUH?!"

Someone tapped the glass of Jessica's car so violently that it knocked the woman out of her reverie.

Jessica looked at her surroundings in fear while gulping down her saliva with difficulty. Because people were already swarming Jessica's car as if they were ready to kill her.

"Calm Down, Jessica. Calm down, face them with a sweet smile."Jessica is trying to strengthen herself.

Jessica took a deep breath and exhaled slowly to gather all the courage. Jessica got out of the car.

"What Have you done!? Are you out of your mind?! You almost killed someone! Fortunately, the victim is alive and well!" snapped the middle-aged man wearing a scarf around his neck.

Jessica smiled awkwardly at the crowd of people who were staring at her intently, trying to calm them down.

"I really didn't mean it, please forgive me. But I promise I will definitely be responsible, " said Jessica trembling with fear.

"Can you help me get him in the car?"Jessica smiles sweetly at those around her.

"All right."

Several men lifted the girl's unconscious body under Jessica's car. They put it in the passenger seat.

Fortunately, the girl did not get run over. Jessica's car destroyed the victim's body.

"Thank you very much in advance." Jessica smiled sweetly before getting into the car and hurrying to leave the area.

Jessica drove her car at high speed to the nearest hospital. Jessica glanced at the girl lying in the back seat from the rearview mirror to check her condition. The girl was covered in blood.

Jessica focused on staring at the highway with a feeling of annoyance mixed with fear.

Why am I so unlucky today?!

Cold sweat soaked Jessica's entire body. His hands trembled violently as he gripped the steering wheel.

Let's hope he doesn't die, Jessica begged.

Shortly thereafter, Jessica's luxury car stopped right in front of the ER outside the hospital.

Jessica rushed downstairs.

"Help! There's been an accident!"

The crowd of nurses immediately brought a gurney. They took the girl out of the car and put her on the bed and pushed her into the emergency room.

"Please save she, Doc. Either way."Frando looked at the doctor with tears in his eyes.

The doctor smiled. "We will do our best to save him. Miss pray only."

The doctor closes the UGG door and leaves Frando outside feeling chaotic.

How about this? I don't want to go to jail for accidentally killing people, Frando's mind is worried.

Christy slowly opened her eyes. It grimaces softly. His head and whole body felt numb. His eyes narrowed as the light of the lamp dazzled him.

"Me ... where?"

"You are in the hospital."

Jessica got up from the sofa and then approached the girl who was lying limp.

Christy gasped in surprise and instantly turned toward the voice.

"Who are you!?"Christy snapped misgivings. "You must be my father's spy, right?!"

Jessica smiled. "No, but I accidentally hit you. Please forgive me."

'I knew he'd be a teenager. If it's like this, it will be easier to get him to make peace,' Jessica's Inner Relief.

"Bastard! WHERE WERE YOUR EYES AT THE TIME, HUH?! HOW CAN YOU NOT SEE A HUMAN BEING AS BIG AS ME CROSSING OVER! I WAS AT A RED LIGHT!" Christy snapped emotionally.

Jessica controlled her emotions.

'You Rascal! How dare he snapped at me!'

Jessica smiled sweetly. "Again, I'm really sorry. However, I promise to cover all hospital expenses until you recover."

There was a brilliant idea in Christy's mind. She smiled at the 18-year-old girl's lips.

"No!" Christy looked at the woman smugly. "I don't want to walk the path of peace. Anyway I'll report you to the police station for almost killing me!" Christy pretended to be angry.

"Don't!"Jessica panicked. "Why do you still want to report me to the police station? Mom-didn't I already want to take responsibility?"

"What an idiot! Anyway, I'll still report you to the police station!" Christy is angry.

Jessica snarled furiously. "How dare you threaten me!!! DO YOU THINK I'M AFRAID OF YOUR THREATS!? YOU SHOULD BE THANKFUL THAT I'M STILL IN CHARGE! WHAT AN IGNORANT WOMAN!" Jessica's anger instantly exploded.

Christy was surprised and did not expect that this woman would dare to yell at him.

Christy glared at Jessica sharply. "OH! So you think my threats are just bullshit, huh?!"

Frando's chest went up and down, clenching his hands tightly, trying with all his might to contain the anger that seemed to want to explode.

He doesn't want to end up in jail.

"Sorry!"Jessica looked away. "I did not intentionally!" his head had to. "So what do you want now? Say it, hurry!"Jessica looked back at the girl coldly

Christy smiled obliquely.

'Finally my plan worked.'

Christy looked forward haughtily, slightly raising her chin. "I want to ..." She suspended his words, like the antagonist in the movies. "you obeyed all my requests."

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN, HUH?! DO YOU THINK YOU CAN BLACKMAIL ME?!"

Christy shrugged her shoulders. "Whatever." He smiled casually. "If you don't want to, I have no problem at all. But ..." He grinned slyly at Jessica.

"BUT YOU MUST BE PREPARED TO ROT IN PRISON!"Christy grabbed the receiver on the nightstand.

"Okay! Okay!" annoyed Frando. "I will obey all your requests! Satisfied!?!"Jessica was emotional.

Christy smiled triumphantly. "Satisfied! Thank you very much, beautiful aunt." She smiled sweetly showing his teeth.

Jessica squeaked. He hurried out of the room.
