"Tobin! Tobin!" She called out his name, but he was gone. And was probably never coming back. She had seen that look in his eyes before. He was angry and in that state he was capable of doing anything. "You are ungrateful. After all the Lancaster have done for you. You have no right to be so angry! Do you think staying with your loser father would have been better? Look I know what I suffered as a kid. My supposed dad, your biological father was all I got and I dare say he failed in his responsibility!" Those were the exact words she had said to Tobin few minutes ago. Tobin was hurt. Although he had never met his biological father, but he was sure he deserved more than Sharon was saying about him. He knew right from the start he didn't belong to the Lancaster family. They were all too different from him. He knew something was wrong about the family but he never could tell what it was. He was going to avenge the death of his mother no matter what it will cost him. Sharon was confused. She was torn between her new found family and her love for Tobin. In that moment of despair she felt a sharp pain on her left arm, one which she hasn't felt for years since her supposed father's death, and she has always prayed never to experience it again. She knew what it meant. Someone she loves was about to die but the question on her lips was "Who is it going to be?" ******** A gamble was made, two babies were switched, lives were lost, but love was found, but at what expense?

A Brush with death

Dane tries explaining to Sharon what just transpired. He knew she was angry and an explanation may calm her down.

'Sharon, you shouldn't listen to that crazy girl. She is the daughter of Mr Huffington the only friend of our father. She has this habit of throwing herself on everyone in this house. First it was shaw now it is me. I think she likes me that's why she told you we are dating but trust me I can't date a crazy girl like that. You can see how she refused to shake hands with you."

"I apologies for her behavior and I strongly advise you don't take her words serious."

Sharon calmed down when she heard the explanation from Dane. Although she wanted to believe him but something in her kept telling her there was more to Dane and Avero than he was telling her right now. She concluded she will get to know later for now she wants to concentrate on the pool they were going to.

The pool wasn't far from the mansion so in no time they were there. She marveled at the pool before her. She wasn't expecting what she saw, before her was a huge body of water, it was cool and clear she ran forward asif she wanted to dive into the water but stopped.

She took deep breath close to the pool, it was fresh. At that moment she feel in love with the pool.

"Can you swim? " Dane asked her

"Of course " she replied.

Sharon was good at swimming. At weekends she goes to the beach with her dad that is where she learnt how to swim and since then she never hesitates in front of water.

She was thinking of how she will enter the water without having to take off her clothes in front of Dane.

"Don't worry I will stand at the other end and won't come out till you are in the water"

he said laughing at her as he ran towards the other end of the pool.

Sharon looked at him shyly. She was relieved he won't be standing close to her.

She undressed leaving just her pantie and bra.

She was walking swiftly to the pool when she noticed a cliff close to the pool. An idea then hit her.

"She will jump from the cliff into the water."

Climbing the cliff was easy because it wasnt that high. She decided to dive into the water like they do in the Olympics twisting and making turns like a professional.

On getting inside the water she discovered it was warm and she liked it.

Suddenly she discovered she could not swim.

The ability to move the arms or legs inside the water was gone. It was like she forgot how to swim. Panic starts setting in, at this point she can't breath she is gasping for air. She is struggling with the water trying to shake vigorously so Dane could notice her.

Fortunately for her, Dane did.

At first he thought she was having fun. He had seen her dive into the water like a professional and wasn't expecting her to struggle with swimming.

But when the struggle continued inside the water he decided to rush to her rescue. Dane being a very good swimmer wasn't concern about how he was going to help her.

He quickly dived into the water screaming her name

"Sharon! Sharon sharon! " Dane was scared because at this point she had stopped struggling. He knew his dad will kill him if anything happen to her. He swam very fast to the location he saw her. Grabbing her by the hand he dragged her to himself. He wrapped his hand around her waist and swam to the bank of the pool.

At this point sharon was motionless. He placed his ear to her mouth and nose to know if she was breathing. when he noticed nothing he started pushing at her chest, he was desperate to save her.

"Sharon please don't do this to me"

he kept repeating with fear in his voice .

He decided he was going to give her a cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) .

He pinched her nose close, taking a normal breath he covers her mouth with his and gave her two one-second breaths.

Immediately she responded to it. She coughs out water from her mouth with tears in her eyes. She looks around her and hugged Dan tightly although she was weak She couldn't believe she almost died from a pool when she learnt how to swim in a beach. It didn't make sense to her something happened under that water but she didn't understand what. She was both confused and scared.

"Hurry put on your clothes we should go back now You need to recover your strength"

Dane said, he was relieved although sad because he wasn't able to excute his plan but then he was happy when he remembers she will be forever grateful to him for saving her life.
