1 1. The Beginning

I woke up in a sweat as the nightmares seem to get worse every night. Although, that was the least of my worries as I quickly realized my alarm didn't go off. I hurried to my bathroom and changed then ran downstairs to see my mom in the kitchen. I sneaked past her and ran to school.

I stood before the door to my class and began making up excuses for being late. I quietly opened the door and tiptoed to my seat. "Hey! Nala's here!", Kristy- Nala's friend- loudly whispered, just enough for the teacher to hear. "Well well well Nala finally decided to show up to class, it's a miracle!", Nala's teacher exclaimed with a wide grin spread across her face. "That's detention for you!", she shouted, "Yes mam…".

Then came the end of class and Nala looked as miserable as ever, "Hey Nala I'm really sorry about calling you out like that", Kristy"s friend said with a sympathetic frown, "How's this, meet me at ***** for a surprise".

After school, Nala went to the address and saw Kristy plus a few other strangers. "Hey Nala, glad you could make it! Here, let me Introduce you, this is Carla, Jack, and Daisy", Nala smiled and said hello. She then looked around and asked, "where are we?", Kristy replied, "Never mind that, come on get in and take this blindfold", Nala was confused but agreed.
