17 Chapter 17

I DON'T KNOW how in any way I slept soundly that night. Maybe because of being tired from the trip and tired of answering the nonsense Kalex says.

When I woke up, he was no longer in his room. I quickly got out of his bed. Had no longer glanced at the mirror and went straight to the exit. Silently I pulled the door shut so no one could see me. My movements were very careful so that no one could hear. When I closed the door, I immediately turned around to hit Kalex's massive chest. I lifted my face to see his eye.

"Good morning," he smiled at me.

Although I was surprised by his sudden appearance, I did not let him know.

"Morning," I greeted him then moved away a few inches.

There is no 'good' because I deliberately don't wake up well if I see him right away.

"Where are you going and you seem to be very careful to close the door?"

I was stunned by his question. "I would have left this house and returned to Alta."

"You know you can't do that. maybe you can finally get out of the mansion and walk around the farm but that's all. You can't get out of the compound because there are many waiting for you downstairs. So if I'm were you, Don't bother running away because you'll just waste your time and effort."

I stared at him sharply. If his men were really waiting for me downstairs, I definitely had no hope of escaping but maybe not every minute or second they are watching after me.

"You know on the two of us, you are the one wasting effort and time. You wasted that by locking me up in this place. What is your real purpose with me, huh?" my annoyed question. Why would he want to lock me up in this place even though I don't want to?

"To kill you," he answered.

"And why are you taking so long? Aside from wasting your time and effort watching over me, you are also wasting money on paying the people you hired to watch over me. Why don't you just kill me then?" I said boldly.

He shrugged. "There is no thrill then. I have a lot of money to pay the tenants so don't worry."

"And you said, I'm not worth spending thousands of your money." He said that. I still remember that when we were both on the yacht.

"Yeah, you're not worth spending thousands of my money but millions, I guess."

I dropped my jaw at what he said. Is he crazy? "Let's end our conversation. Come down first so you can eat. Nana Julia is waiting for you downstairs. After you eat we will leave."

"Where will we go?"

"In heaven."

I stared at him sharply. He just grinned and lowered his gaze to my chest. His mood changed immediately. I wouldn't be surprised if this guy has mood syndrome.

"So, you don't really sleep wearing a bra," he commented.

I looked down at my chest and crossed my arms sharply without wearing a bra. I held my breath and bit my lip in annoyance.

"Pervert!"

He chuckled. "I know that when a man is a pervert, he makes the way to see on the woman just like looking at someone's body with no consent. But in my case you showed up yourself. So, I'm not a pervert."

"You looked without consent so you're still a pervert." I hissed.

"So, next time I want to see that, I'll inform you?"

I blushed at what he said, knowing full well what he wanted to convey. I clenched my fist in annoyance.

"And you think I'll let you? In your dreams!" I said angrily and went inside his room. I slammed the door shut. It didn't matter if that was heard down below or not.

"I'm going downstairs. I'll wait for you." The teasing was still in her voice.

"Go to h*ll!" I shouted.

"With pleasure," he answered.
