Lily smiled, "It's nothing I can't handle on my own. Basically, Director Chu has blacklisted me and taken away all jobs under my name. He is threatening me with my career in exchange for a full-time contract under Chu Entertainment. As you know, your daughter hates being tied on both hands. I rejected him till the very end."

She almost laughed when she recalled Director Chu's blackened expression when she stepped out confidently. It felt great stepping out of his office without any care for his feelings.

On the other hand, Lawrence Jiang breathed heavily after hearing about her situation. Tapping his fingers on the dinner table, he supported his daughter all the way with her decision. "Lily, do whatever you believe is right with the investments. Even if your decision results in any losses, dad will be your back up. I've been keeping low for too long that people think they can stomp over our heads."

"Got it. I'm heading over to the company. Are you free to discuss about other entertainment proposals?" She knew Lawrence had always despised people playing dirty tricks. People like Director Chu would be the first for elimination when it came to working with him.

"Sweetheart, you can make the decision. I'll go with whatever you say. Besides, you are the future CEO of Jiang Corps. You have the same power I have when it comes to making these decisions. Right, don't forget to greet Director Chu on my behalf." Lawrence sipped his cup of coffee as he made it clear to Lily how he wanted her to expose her identity this time.

Nodding, Lily said, "Okay."

"By the way Lily, I heard you are dating someone. Is he good to you?" After her relationship with Hawk had ended rather badly, Toby had told Lawrence about it when she went back overseas. He felt infuriated by Hawk and worried about Lily's mental health. Not long after her breakup, she started dating a doctor named Lin Que. How could he not be worried?

"Oh, don't worry daddy! He treats me like his queen. I think I'm running some extreme fortune luck here. Hahahha." She laughed as she wanted to tell him about Lin Que's identity.

"He better be treating you right or I'll fly to you just to give him a beating! As long as he isn't like your ex who is focused on the materialistic bullshit, I will not oppose for now. Dad has a friend whose son is single. I wanted to see if you were interested, but it seems like you aren't available now." He sighed at the thought a good man swimming away.

"Dad, my boyfriend is good to me. When you come back next time, I'll officially introduce the two of you. Didn't you mention you had to come back for a friend's birthday party? We can schedule a dinner then." She wanted to give them a surprise. Plus, she had confidence that Lin Que could win her father over.

"Oh? Sounds like you have high confidence in your boyfriend. Alright, let's meet for dinner when I come back in two weeks. I have to attend my old friend's birthday party. Maybe I can introduce you to their son. Last time I heard from them; they were complaining about him being single. Don't mistaken, though. I don't want you dating anyone you don't like."

"I heard he was very good at handling business with minimal supervision and guidance. Since you lack in certain areas, you might want to learn from him. Having a friend is better than an extra enemy especially in the business field." Lawrence might have sounded like he wanted her daughter to try things out with his friend's son, but he only wanted her to start forming connections.

Since he and his wife stayed overseas for international businesses, he was always worried he would miss her important calls. He wanted someone who was trustworthy and intelligent enough to discuss certain matters. When he had first began his business, he learned everything from scratch and knew how difficult things could get.

Besides, he and his friend have a strong bond. Lily also knew what to keep confidential, so he wasn't concerned about getting cheated. Lily hummed, "Mm, I can greet your friends and their son under the condition that you don't set me up with him. Like you said, making a friend is better than an enemy."

"No problem. I need to finish breakfast and leave for an important meeting. I'm looking forward to seeing you, Ginny and your boyfriend."

"Nn! I'm sure daddy would like him for sure! Mwahhhh, bye bye daddy." She cheerfully said as she waited for him to end the call from his side.

"As long as he doesn't give me dowry gifts on our first meeting hahahahaha. Okay, bye honey." Lawrence's joke almost made her foot slip on the brakes. She was parking her car to buy bubble tea when she heard her father's joke.

Right after she got out of the car, she hurriedly went to purchase her drink. Within ten minutes, she walked out while sucking on her straw. It's been a while since she has taken a walk, so she decided to walk around the park in the neighborhood.

As she made her way across the street, she caught two figures exiting the park. The aura they emitted was just like a couple in the honeymoon phase. Snapping a picture using her cellphone, she smiled and sent it to Lin Que.

Approaching the couple who were about to cross the street, Lily said, "Ginny~" Her voice was full of mischievousness.

Turning around, Ginny's smile spread, "Ah!! Lily!!! What a coincidence. Didn't you say you needed to visit your management company?"

"Before we talk about me, isn't there something you want to tell me?" Looking at Alan with a meaningful smile, she confirmed their high-speed rollercoaster relationship. 'Damn! They are fast!'

"We just started dating." Ginny blushed as she introduced Alan officially. She was hugging his arm as if he was her floating board.

"Alright. Alright. I won't eat you guys up. Don't be so tense. Hehe, I'm so happy for you two! Our family's Ginny is very innocent, you better not hurt her. If you do, I'll spank your ass and throw you to Lin Que." Lily had to give him a short, quick warning so Ginny wouldn't be embarrassed to death.

"Aiya! Stop talking about us. I'll tell you when we are alone. Anyways, what happened at your workplace?" Ginny directed the topic back to Lily.

"Oh, I'm starting a war with definite victory for my side." Lily care freely sipped her drink as they walked back to the park.
