11 A Myth!!!

"This is definitely a myth!!! Whoever said that seniors have the easiest lives for their last semesters is a liar!" Lily complained as she messed her already disheveled hair up even more. With her black round glasses sliding halfway down her nose bridge, her hand left her laptop's keyboard to pick up the empty coffee stained mug. Tilting the mug in an angle to pour the liquid into her mouth, she realized that it had already run out.

Frowning at the little to nothing content in her elephant shaped mug with heart eyes, she placed it back on the marble surface. Her fingertips found its way to the edge of the glasses frames and removed it carefully from the back of her ears.

"Haaaa!" The massive ache behind her ears finally relieved a teensy bit after she had taken her glasses off. While rubbing the irritated skin behind her ears, her head snapped backwards to the corner of her living, where there should be anything but silence taking place.

The scene in front of her was too amusing that Lily had raised her eyebrows and stopped her hand movements. She opened her mouth, wanting to say something, but kept quiet. Currently, Ginny, who had three laptops and her own office set up was nowhere near her devices, fighting the damn deadlines.

Instead, she was doing the headstand yoga pose where her feet hung upside down from the floor and Ginny's head was on a yoga mat with her arms supporting her weight. "Ginny, what are you doing?" Lily crossed her arms and walked over to her side.

"Rushing blood to my brain, so I can get more ideas for my term papers. Too much stress, so I'm trying to relax." Ginny said with her eyes still closed. She inhaled and exhaled slowly as if the rest of the world had nothing to do with her.

"You see, this would be very convincing if you didn't have your home office set up at my place and scattered documents all over my floor. I'm going to brew some coffee. Do you want any?" Lily asked as she picked up her own mug along with Ginny's empty one.

"Sure, but dear, you've already drunk like five cups. Are you sure your stomach could handle that much liquid? It'll be worse if you end up having diarrhea and forced to bring your laptop with you while you bomb the toilet. Just saying." Ginny opened her eyes and exhaled the remaining air from her last inhale.

Then, she slowly flipped herself back to a regular standing position. Meanwhile, Lily already started making their coffees and had rinsed their mugs clean from stains.

"You think I want to drink this at three in the morning? Who said that our deadlines were this close? If I didn't have these, then I would be dead asleep already. My projects are due consecutively day after day. Yours is worse than mine. Yours are all due to the same professor at the same time and date." Lily reminded Ginny of her bothersome deadlines.

"Aiya!!! I'm only up to the second paper out of five that are due. Sigh, why does this professor love his damn job so much that he had to give these assignments the last second? Why didn't he just tell us in the beginning of the semester? Ugh!!!" Ginny scratched her head and pulled her hair altogether into a messy bun. Using a pencil that she was using to sketch modules from earlier, she stuffed it through the bun and secured it in place with some bobby pins.

"More like, why did you choose Mister Corow for the final semester? You knew how delayed he is when it comes to announcing coursework and updating anything to the school board platform." The coffee machine hummed a soothing tune, indicating that the coffee was made.

While the mugs were being filled up by the hot, freshly brewed coffee, the delightful fragrance spread in the living room; waking the girl's brain cells up. "How far are you with your work?" Ginny asked as she stretched out her hands to take her share of the coffee.

"Hah! Not even halfway. I'm stuck on the research database part that was not taught in class. Web Design is such a hassle, but I'm not even studying this major. I was forced to take this class due to the limited choices I had. It was either this or some other advance course." Lily pursed her lips and complained as she sat back in her chair.

"Actually, let me take a look at it. I took Web Design before and was pretty decent at it. I did everything myself and understood most of the complicated parts. Maybe I could help you with it." Ginny looked up from her laptop and met a pair of sparkling, hopeful puppy eyes.

"But you also have your own work to do. I wouldn't want to delay your work just because I am stuck with mine." Lily thought about it carefully before placing her laptop back to its original position.

"Although I suck at drawing modules and hate brainstorming ideas for marketing campaigns, you have creative thoughts. You always come up with very interesting perspectives. I'm sure you could look through what I have and figure something out as well. If not, I'll be able to finish it by my deadline. Don't worry." After saying that, the girls switched laptops and tried to help the other as much as possible.

In the middle of making corrections to each other's work, they realized that they were great at the other's coursework even though they were in different classes. Within the next hour, they completed the project for each other and was amazed by how efficient they were when it came to doing others' work.

Trading the laptops back, they reviewed the work that was done and changes that were made. Together, they whispered, "Amazing...." With another glance at each other, the girls smiled, reached out to shake each other's hands and took over each other's work stations.

At ten in the morning, keyboard typing sounds could be heard from that one apartment. The last keys were tapped on the laptops before their fingers had stopped around the same time. After pulling an all-nighter for twenty hours straight, the girls could finally relax and drop dead asleep. They saved their own work and covered a huge blanket over themselves as they said good night to the morning sunshine.

They were officially done with their final assignments!!

Graduation, here they come!

At the same time, Alan and Lin Que were carrying a stack of books to the library for return. Alan had borrowed and queued a list of books for his final exam paper. He finished it at five in the morning, but couldn't carry the books by himself. Since today was the expiry date, he must return them before two in the afternoon or else he would be charged a fee.

Since Lin Que had also finished his work when Alan contacted him, he decided to help his friend out. After returning the books, they ran into a familiar face in the study hall.

"Anthony Den, President of the Yearbook Club! We were just about to look for you!" Lin Que walked over with his long legs casually.

"Oh? Did you change your mind about the graduation picture?" he smirked arrogantly and eyed the two of them from head to toe. If eyesight could speak, then his would be a speech that criticized their casual outfits on campus.

"We're here to tell you that we sent you an email with pictures that you could use for the Anime Club. Lin Que is also in it. Now, you can relax and keep your distance from us. Thank you for your hard work." Alan nearly rolled his eyes to reach the back of his head when he saw how judgmental Anthony's gaze was.

"Very well. Then I will check my email and see if there is anything else that I need from you two." He turned around and walked the opposite way as if talking to them for an extra second would be a waste of his time.

"What's with his arrogant attitude? Tch, what a spoiled brat." Alan complained as he followed Lin Que out of the library. Lin Que totally ignored Anthony's rudeness and decided to not bother with people like that.

"After graduation, we will probably not meet him again. So, ignore him." He said as he listened to Alan's rants.
