4 Meet Him Again

Evelyn's pov

A personnel officer called and told me that today I would be signing the employment contract. Even though I wasn't fully accepted because I hadn't meet my boss yet but they told me to come and sign the contract.

I saw my reflection in the mirror.

I choosed to wear my best work outfit which was a chiffon shirt, with black bottom pants, and 5 cm high loafers. This neat outfit had been my favorite since I worked at my previous company.

"Okay, better get going or else I will be late. What a shame if on the first day, I get reprimand because of coming late," I muttered.

Before I went, I smiled once again at the reflection of my own face.

"Cheer up Lyn, you can do it!" I encouraged myself.

I went down the stairs of my rented house and walked towards the gate. When I opened the gate, I immediately shocked. I saw the appearance of a person beside the black Audi A4 car.

"Morning Beautiful, ready for the first day of work?" He said with a faint smile.

"Oh my God, how come he's here so early!" I thought in surprised

Evelyn's pov end

"Are you here to pick me up?" Evelyn asked in surprise.

"Well, I thought that I just pass by and give you a lift. Why ? do you mind?" replied the man.

"Of course not, you are my brother!" Evelyn said excitedly.

Jleb!

"Even though I have convinced myself repeatedly, how come does it still hurts?," the man thought.

"But Rik, your office and I are in the opposite direction, is it okay?" Evelyn asked uncomfortably.

This someone turns out to be Riki, a friend who was considered as her own brother by Evelyn.

Riki smiled a little and then stroked Evelyn's hair which Evelyn defined as a brother's rubbing towards his sister.

"I'm the boss, why should I be worry. Is there anyone who dared to scold me, heum? " Riki asked teasingly.

"Hehe, yes boss, let's go!" Evelyn said excitedly.

"Let's go!!" Riki replied.

Riki opened the car door at the front, with his hand covering the crown of Evelyn's head.

"Thank you. You should have done that to your girlfriend Rik, not to me," said Evelyn innocently.

She didn't realize that Riki was starting to make approach towards her.

Not many people knew the fact that he liked Evelyn because she had always been considered as a friend and also as a sister. Back on campus, he tried to refrain himself. He realized that he was still not quite able to stand on his own feet.

But now he didn't want to refrain any longer. He had already his own small business. He hoped that his feelings could reach Evelyn because she could be insensitive sometime.

"It's troublesome to have a girlfriend. Having only you is enough for me," Riki replied casually.

Hearing that, made Evelyn pursed her lips funny. She didn't like her brother's answer.

"No way, do you want to be single forever, huh?" Evelyn said scornfully.

"The important thing is that you are always beside me. For me, that's enough, " Riki replied indifferently.

"Use the seat belt first," Riki added.

He helped Evelyn put on the seat belt, then his own.

Then he began to shift and drove his car at a moderate pace leaving the house where Evelyn was staying.

Thirty minutes later, they arrived at the PT. SINGLE TRI. This luxurious building owned by the Grahem family, one of the rich families in City B. Riki got out of his car, and opened the door for Evelyn.

"We have arrived, Beautiful!" Riki said in cheerful tone while he stretched his hand out to Evelyn, which Evelyn accepted immediately.

"Thank you Rik, sorry for the trouble, "

Evelyn said uncomfortably.

"What's the troublesome? It's nothing Lyn, anything for you. Have a pleasant day" Riki replied with a small smile.

"Of course, you too" Evelyn exclaimed excitedly. Her lips were smiling broadly with a dimple, making her look cuter, and beautiful at the same time.

"Sure, but you still remember what I told you at the cafe, do you?" Riki reminded and gazed her intensively, right into Evelyn's eyes.

"Oh, come on Rik. That's nonsense. There's no way he would like me," Evelyn chuckled. She felt funny with the thought of her best friend, but when she saw the stern eyes of her best friend, made her snort in resignation.

"Fine, as you wish Mr. handsome. I will remember what you said. I promise," Evelyn said in defeat.

"Good, then I'll go. Be careful, don't forget to eat lunch, and always remember to send me a message." Riki replied after patting Evelyn's head.

"Yes, you too be careful, Riki! " Evelyn replied cheerfully.

"Heum, bye" Riki muttered softly and waved his hand. He got into his car, and left the office building area heading to his own office. Evelyn stared at her best friend's car, which was going at its usual speed. She felt something was strange with Riki, since he recommended her to work in this office.

Not wanting to think too much about it, Evelyn shrugged off her mind and turned to face the tall building ahead of her.

"Cheer up Lyn!" She muttered with a faint smile.

She stepped into the office lobby, with nervous steps when she was stared at by several employees who passed her.

"God, their stare look so scary," Evelyn thought fearfully.

Her arrival as a new employee, suddenly became the center of attention. People were whispering around Evelyn and she realized it. Because she was sitting in the lobby, made her presence recognizable. The gaze judged from each employee, made her uncomfortable. But fortunately the receptionist with the name tag Rania called her and notified her to go to the President Director's office on the 19th floor.

"Thank you!" Evelyn said kindly.

"You're welcome, I hope we can become friends. You are Evelyn, aren't you?" Rania asked kindly.

Instead of answering Rania, Evelyn asked her back.

" Oh, do you know me?" Evelyn asked in surprise.

"You were campus' sweet heart, who doesn't know you," Rania replied with a smile

"But I'll explain later. " Rania continued.

"Now you have to go to Mr. President's chamber. He doesn't like employees who work slowly," Rania warned.

Hearing Rania warning, Evelyn smiled awkwardly and left Rania hurriedly after promising to meet at lunch.

Ting!

The elevator was open. Evelyn stepped out of the elevator and walked towards to the only door on the 19th floor with a fast heartbeat. She hoped that the person who would become the President Director was not a fierce person and didn't like to get angry at random.

"Huft... Good luck," She muttered and encouraged herself before knocking the door.

She opened the double doors that made of Teak, with a soft push after hearing a voice from inside.

She entered the chamber slowly but not with her heart that was beating fast. She saw the President Director raised his face slowly with a frown as if he remembered something or in this case someone.

Deg! Deg! Deg!
