15 Chapter 15. [ Totally Underground-ish ]

"Having cold feet?" Humberto enquired as we got into a lift to ascend to the fourteenth floor. Not intending to give away my fears, I bluffed.

"I don't have cold feet. I am fine."

Deep down, and I mean deep down if he had the super laser eye power or no an xrayed vision is more specific... 

Back to what I was saying, if Humberto had those gifted X-rayed vision for his eyes and he pierced through my outer skin to trace his sight to my heart right now, he would most certainly see how boldly engraved on it, is the word— FRIGHT.

But I'm glad he can't see through me and like me, he is merely human with no weird sorta gifted vision so my pride is safe with me.

As long as I'm not headed up there alone, I think I can hold up my end at least.
