30 I Don't Deserve It

Crown Princess Pavillion, White Jade Palace. Present time.

Jayden closed his eyes, a flashback of his first meeting with Renny ending in his mind. Now, the little girl he was obsessed with was in his sight. Looking at him with her beautiful blue eyes.

"Jay...?!" Renny called, she was still in the same position, pressing down on Jayden's chest and Jayden was still hugging her body tightly.

They had been like this for almost half an hour. Cuddling on the cold marble floor. Jayden's heartbeat sounded loud and rhythmic in Renny's ears. They were too close until they could feel each breath touching their skin.

"Hm..." Jayden just cleared his throat in response. His hand was still stroking Renny's arm gently.

"Until when are we going to be like this, Jay? I'm hungry." Renny asked, All day she only ate when Kayla ordered her to eat. Kayla always told Renny not to eat a lot because she would get married soon.

"Tsk... you make the romantic atmosphere disappear. And, why your face is so adorable?? Making me want to bite your cheek." Jay chuckled in annoyance, as he pinched Renny's nose.

"Auch..." Renny groaned in pain.

Jayden stood up, then reached out his hand to help Renny up. Renny smoothed her sagging bathrobe. Jay looked at her mischievously and then came up with a crazy idea to play a prank on Renny.

"Jay what are you doing?!" Renny immediately exclaimed in surprise when Jay pulled the rope that tied her bathrobe.

"Help you get changed." Jayden took her bathrobe off. Renny jolted when Jayden's hand pushed her body to the wall.

"You're crazy, Jay!! Let it go!!" Renny struggled, why did Jayden's annoyance never end? Unknowingly, Renny's tears fell, afraid that Jay would abuse her. She was not ready. It was too embarrassing even now they had engaged.

"Hey don't cry, girl. Forgive me." Jay stopped his annoyance and immediately hugged Renny. He couldn't see tears falling from his lady's eyes.

"Sob... You're naughty, Jay..! You pervert!!" Renny sobbed.

"Sorry... I was just kidding." Jay stroked Renny's black hair.

"Sob... you promised not to touch me before we got married!!" Renny's sob became louder.

"I didn't touch you, I just wanted to help you change dress." he chuckled.

"Jay!!" Renny pouted her lips.

"What's wrong anyway? We're already engaged, haven't I also seen you take a bath?" Jay raised his eyebrows teasing Renny one more time.

"Sob... Sob...!" Renny cried even louder. Her act left Jay confused.

"Okay... okay..., don't cry, I'll call Kayla in," Jay said.

Jayden called Kayla and a few ladies came in. The ladies waited for Jayden's direction.

"Serve my princess well, La," Jay ordered.

"Of course, Prince," Kayla replied while bowing her body.

Kayla gave the code to all ladies. They rushed to help Renny dress up. They prepared makeup tools and Renny's night dress. Renny stopped Kayla's hand which wanted to take off her bathrobe because Jayden was still leaning on the marble pillar and watching Renny get dressed up.

"Are you not going out, Jay?"

"No."

"Jay!!" Renny pouted.

"You said, I can't touch you, but it doesn't mean that I can't see you?!" Jay smiled mischievously.

"Hey!" Renny put her hands on her hips. She didn't want to change clothes if Jayde was still standing there.

"Okay okay... I'll wait in the dining room." Jay finally gave up and left the bath room.

"Hehehe," Kayla chuckled.

"Why are you laughing, La?"

"I just didn't expect His Highness the Crown Prince who is well known to be cruel and strict, could look so childish in front of you, Princess," Kayla said.

"O...yeah? Why did he choose me, La? Even though I am not a beautiful, educated, elegant woman, and have a position in high society." Renny looked down, her body left from the touch of her maids.

"The Crown Prince's choices are always the best, Princess. And we believe in his choice." Kayla smiled so warmly, she hold Renny's hand and took her back to continue her makeup. Renny only kept silent, she watched her maids work hard to make her beautiful. Renny felt she didn't deserve all of their best treatment.

[I didn't even register myself. How can I be worthy?] thought Renny sadly.

"Why is your face sad, Princess?"

"I hate him, La. He always tease me." Renny grumbled.

"Hate is slightly different from love, Princess." Kayla stroked Renny's arm gently.

"Huh... love? That's impossible." Renny's face flushed, and she chuckled at her feelings.

"Okay, it's done. You now look as beautiful as a carnation flower in spring." Kayla zipped up Renny's dress.

"Ah, yeah."

"Blue sapphire necklace as a finishing touch." Kayla put a necklace studded with blue sapphires around Renny's neck.

"Beautiful...." Renny muttered in front of the mirror while touching her necklace. Down to her night dress, and the last was her face. Who was that girl looking at her right now? So beautiful until Renny couldn't recognize herself anymore.

[But I can't accept it, I don't deserve it. I have to tell the truth to Jay right away.] Renny weighed all her problems in her heart. Renny was afraid that the longer she hold to say it, the harder it would be for her to leave Jayden.
