1 Breakfast

Xiaomi, Xiaomi wake up! Mrs Ming cried to Xiaomi. It is time to wake up, remember! We have to visit your grandfather. Don't forgot to wake up your little brother Jay too; I will be in the kitchen preparing breakfast.

Not yet awake, Xiaomi rubbing her eyes jumped of bed exciting humming over

her favorite song.

After getting ready she went over to her brother, Jay who was still fast asleep covering himself with a blanket.

A smile flows to my face looking at my little brother who I loves so much. Remembering how my brother was found at the foot door step of our house.

He was still an infant, thinking back eight years have past since then, I remember i was just years old at the time. From the deeply thoughts, Jay woke up form the back parting and hair stroking form her sister.

Hmm, what are doing sister! Yes i am here to wake you up, now hurry and get up we have along day today.

Hmm, its smells so good mom, said Jay. i like the sausage and the stew you make the best, its always my favorite. The dining table was filled with laughter and chatting while eating delicious breakfast. After all today was not like any other day, it was special day.

My grandfather Ming Xing Liu's birthday, He is going to eighty seven years old! he is the founder of Ming food restaurants, he used the recipes given by his grandmother and open the first restaurant in the village when he was twenty two years old.

Until now there about twelve branches of the Ming food restaurant through out Japan. With my grandfather being the head of the family business everything were always in control.

My grand father has three sons including my father Ming Li and two daughters who help grandfather running the Ming Li food Corporation.

As I haven't seen them for along time, since I was living abroad for six

years , makes me very excited. Now that i think about it, i haven't seen my cousin Jana for awhile, I am curious of how they are all doing. What are you chuckling about? are you thinking about your boyfriend, my mom teased? Mom, stop! it's nothing..

followed by series of chuckling and laughter, we all started the journey to grand father house for the birthday party. Actually I carry a secret, Before I moved to United States me and Long fen made an oath that we will get married when when I return.

I remember, the first day i met Long fen when we where in nursery school. He took my milk, and i start crying, then he started to comforting me ; Saying not to cry or he won't marrying me. Haha, remembering those days, we were so young and free.

But I remember every bit of it: Like how we used to play at the playground, when other popular kids used to bully me he was always there to protect me. i always felt happy, whenever i was around him. I actually have no idea like when exactly I started to like him.

He used to knock my window, and wait for me to hear. Sometimes he sneak in we talk for hours. Like that time he taught me how to ride a horse; His family own a ranch. And when i fell down and hurt my left foot, he gave me a kiss to calm down. ( my cheeks blushing)

I am curious of how how he is now, its been six years the last time we saw each other

Thinking now, that day when I had to leave, he was very sad. I remember that he wanted to tell me something.

Ring ring ring, suddenly I woke up from the thoughts, after i heard the phone ringing. It was my dad's phone, he was talking for people about work matter while mom was nursing my little sister who is three month old.

One hour away to our destination, i watched over the window and look at the trees, with excitement, to my grand father and Long fen who i have not seen for over six years.
