Chapter 2

As the pieces fell down to the floor everything else was quiet. Skyla locked with a shocked expression at her mother. While she just looked angry at her. “Bitch! I’m talking to you! Don’t space out!”

Skyla bowed down and apologized “Sorry Ma’m. It wont happen again” She still bowed down and waited for the permission to get up again.

“Good you can raise now.” Skyla looked up at her Mother, who smirked at her “And don’t forget what just happened. If you gonna repeat that mistake you know what’s gonna happen!”

Skyla started shivering and answered “I-I know M-Ma’m. t-Thank you f-for yo-your kindness” Skyla bowed again.

Her mother just sat down again “And don’t forget to clean up the mess you made!” As Skyla couldn’t say anything against them she just bowed down again.

But this humiliation wasn’t enough. Her father had to say something to it too in a cold voice “How do you even look?! Did you bath with your clothes on in the morning?! Go and change. Your appearance is disturbing our meal” he looked disgusted at her, before giving all his attention to the food and his family again.

Quickly was Skyla cleaning the plate up, before she got down the stairs towards the cellar. As he room was there.

Sadly it was cold down there, so she started shaking from the cold. Her wet clothes didn't made it better for her, so she hurriedly removed her clothes and took a quick warm shower to prevent herself from getting sick.

As she finished, she wore her school uniform. The uniform was black and white, but mostly black. It had a jacked a tie and a skirt , all in black, only the edges of the jacket were white as well as the T-Shirt under it. Her long white silky hair did she made into a side French braid. She took her black boots and black bag and looked at the clock.

“I have only 10 Minutes before I have to go to school…” she signed “i hope they are already gone…” she hurriedly gone up to the dining room again, with a quick glance in the corridor she could tell, that no one was home anymore.

Skyla put quickly the plates and dirty dishes into the dishwasher, put the ingredients back to their designated place and was just barely on time done with it all before she had to go to school. So all she did now was taking the house key locking the door and left on her black bike to school.

On her way she thought ‘I hope I will get a peaceful day, I’m just so tired’

After 5 minutes she stopped at a nearby bakery. She locked her bike and entered.

“Good morning Mrs Williams? How are you today?”

Skyla smiled brightly at the old Lady which was standing behind the counter.

“Good Morning to you too dear. I’m fine. How about you today? You seem hungry” Mrs. Williams was smiling at Skyla warmly.

“Thank you Mrs. Williams, I’m okay as you can see. But as you guessed right I’m hungry”

Mrs. Williams looked at her warmly angrily “Dear i already told you, please call me grandma”

Skyla chuckled “Okay Grandma”

“Good, dear, now tell me what you wanna eat”

Skyla looked into the counter, where many delicious things laid for her to eat. Some sweet buns in form of a bear, cupcakes, donuts, some cheese buns, French pies, cakes, buns with cheese, or meat and other things.

“Mhm… I would like to have one bun with cheese, a croissant and a chocolate coffee”

“Sure dear.” Mrs Williams packed the things Skyla asked for and gave the bag to Skyla. “Here is your order my dear” she said, putting the back onto the counter. “Before you take it my dear, can you wait a moment please?”

“Sure” Skyla was confused, as Mrs Williams left. ‘What did she want from me? She is always so nice to me…i wish i had a grandma like that.’ As she thought that, her facial expression got sad. Though as soon as it changed, she got out of her thoughts and smiled again. Right at that moment Mrs.Williams came back.

“My dear I’m back” She placed a bento on the counter beside the bag “Take this with you, i hope its to your liking”

“Grandma, that’s too much i can’t take th-“

But Mrs. Williams interrupted Skyla “Dear, i insist. You have to eat something for lunch. Please take it.” With looking at the expression on Mrs Williams face she knew that she couldn’t refuse.

She signed “Okay Grandma. Thank you so much. Please don’t make so much effort again for me” She got around the counter and hugged Mrs. Williams, while giving her a kiss on her cheek. She smiled warmly “Thank you so much grandma. I will go now. School will start soon.” They said goodbye and Skyla drove to school.

As she arrived at school she placed her bike in the stall for it, locked it and walked towards the classroom. On her way towards class some girls talked to her “Look who is here. If it isn’t madam useless.” Skyla just ignored it and gone further to class, but in every corner someone was talking to her and insulted her “She looks so pathetic” “haha true. She doesn’t even has one friend!”

Skyla gone threw them didn’t said anything against them while lowering her head.

And soon before she arrived at class she heard some male students talk “Look she is here” “Yeah, she looks so gorgeous” “She is just perfect”

Without looking Skyla knew who arrived at school ‘Let me be fast. I don’t wanna be seen by her.’ It was her sister, who just arrived in her new sports car.

‘Good, i did it, hopefully i don’t have to talk to her again’ Skyla signed and sat down on her seat near the window and looked out blankly without a thought in her mind.

The teacher arrived and Skyla was listening to what the teacher said. In the short breaks she was just blankly staring outside or taking some notes she remembered from the lesson.

Until Lunch break arrived.

Skyla packed her things quickly and walked hurriedly towards the rooftop. She luckily didn't bumped into someone.

As she opened the door she signed in relief “Finally some peace and quiet”

Skyla walked toward the edge of the roof and leaned against the fence and slide down, till she sat. The food and bento she got from grandma placed she in front of her and started to eat. While eating she pulled her headphones out of her bag and looked at the Sky while eating and listening.

She was silently sitting there, till some tears dropped on her hands. ‘What? Why am i crying?!’ She wiped her tears away hurriedly and said to herself again and again “I’m fine. Stupid me. I’m totally fine!” Her heart aches by those words, but she ignored it.

Just then the school bell rings. The break was over already. Skyla packed her things together and walked down to her class again. The rest of her classes and school day was peaceful.

After school, as Skyla walked down some stairs to go home, someone shouted after her.

“Hey Skyla, Hold it” it was her sister Cassandra.

So Skyla just stopped on top of some stairs and turned around “What is it sis?”

Cassandra looked angry at Skyla ‘I swear i hate it, when she calls me that! But we are in school and Mom said i should pretend to not be that bad…’ “Well, give me your notes. quickly!”

“But sis i need them myself…”

“I don’t care, just give them to me!”

Skyla signed and pulled her Notes out of her bag and gave them to Cassandra.

Cassandra just took the Notes and smirked “Thanks sissy. And now do me a favor!” Grinning like a devil in disguise.

Skyla tilted her head “What favor sis?”

Cassandra got close to Skyla and whispered in her ear “Fall down for me!” With those words, she pushed Skyla down the stairs, with a devilish smile on her face.
