18 A Match Made In Heaven

Alec Williams was restless.

She was with him throughout his childhood. Never in their life, Zaria had taken a day off without telling anyone of their group of five.

Becoming anxious and worried, as a person having feelings for her was inappropriate since it could be interpreted as going overboard.

But becoming anxious and worried, as a friend was correct. He had the right to feel the anxiety for her.

Sensing the restlessness in their gentle prince of the group, Jessica suggested, "How about we all go and see her together in her house?"

A smile emerged on Alec's face.

That was right.

He could go and see her.

Mason jerked his head at Jessica, visibly shook, "Can we not go there, please!"

Jessica rolled her eyes and turned away from him. Mason's mouth was astringent.

She did not even acknowledge him! This was counted as not giving him a face.

"Pffft. Scared from Mister Anderson?" Sofia joked.

Mason shot her a glare but she continued to keep teasing him.

These friends knew how much Mason got scared from John Anderson's stare when they last visited Zaria about four months ago.

He could have peed his pants with his haunting stare!

"After class, we all are going. Ria could be in trouble for all we know." Alec looked at Mason.

Mason also looked at him. Apart from his fear of John Anderson, Zaria was the one he was closest to.

If she were in trouble, as her trusted brother, he should go see her.

"Afternoon. When the last class ends, we all will go." Mason ordered like an Emperor as if daring his ministers to argue with him.

At this, Alec's heart lightened and all others gave out a triumphant smile.

'Ria, wait for me.'

The classes soon ended in a blur and they all got ready to face Master Anderson of the Anderson household. "Guys, can we..." Mason received the looks from his friends and he shrank.

"Okay, okay, let's go."

"..."

'Fate is only bad to me in particular and I don't care about it at all.' Mason sulked.

"Hello, is Zaria here?" Sofia said to the intercom, looking at the camera above her head with wide eyes.

'D*mn, this new instalment is awesome.'

"Who I might be speaking to?" Came a professional tone from the intercom as a reply.

"It's her friends from the campus," Jessica answered.

"Are you perhaps Ms Jessica Miller and others?" The woman from the intercom questioned again.

"Yes."

The door to the mansion opened and Sofia crossed her arms, looking petty.

'This aunty did not recognise me.'

However, a silly smile soon spread on her lips when the maid greeted her formally.

'Ah, this feeling...'

"Welcome, Miss Brown, Miss Miller, Sir Waters, and Sir Williams." The maid looked at Alec warily.

This boy last visited this mansion. With the amorous eyes he looked with, at their Young lady, told her it was not the eyes friends gave to each other.

It was the eyes people in love gave to each other.

Her lady Zaria belonged to the Young Master of the Anderson family.

"Lady Zaria was waiting for you all to visit." She nodded at them and Sofia gushed.

To be affiliated with a middle-class family, Sofia had never seen such courtesy.

No matter how many times she had seen this in dramas, she could never get tired of seeing it in real life.

"Guys." Zaria's exuberant voice came from upstairs, but soon a cough followed.

The four furrowed their eyebrows.

So, their princess was indeed sick.

When they settled themselves on the couch in the living room, Zaria approached them with a light smile.

'Her face looks sick.' Alec's concerned orbs met hers and he smiled warmly at her.

Thank the heavens that nothing bad happened to her, but being sick was equally bad. He hoped to see her recover soon.

She also sat on another couch comfortably.

"Where's your knight?" Sofia looked around eagerly.

Such eye candy was enough for her to feel happy for days.

"In his room," She said quietly as if fearing that he would know about her talking about him.

"How are you feeling now?" Jessica asked, looking at Zaria straight.

"I guess I'm fine now?" Zaria's tone was somewhat unsure and her voice came out strained.

"So what made you sick?" As far as Mason knew, Zaria was a girl made up of metal; a female iron man and was heavily blessed as she was not someone who could catch some random cold that easily.

"Umm... The wind is really strong these days." Zaria coughed.

What if her friends started teasing her when they knew about her taking care of Elian.

They would call her a nanny nurse for real.

Simultaneously, a voice said, "She was taking good care of Elian for the previous two days. He caught a cold, so she caught a cold, too. Aren't they such a match made in heaven like Romeo and Juliet?"

Mia Anderson giggled warmly at them.

She looked at the group. From Jessica to Alec.

These children were the friends of Zaria and belonged to good and respectful families. There was no need to be on guard in front of them.

They were no bad influence on her daughter-in-law.

"If I ask for your help in the future in making my son and daughter-in-law a pair, you children won't refuse me, would you?" Mia Anderson found her eyes on Alec.

She knew this boy had some thoughts about her Zaria. He was a nice lad, but she knew about his family.

The Williams and Andersons were exactly not on the same page.

And, there was also his family's customs and traditions. The Williams were narrow-minded.

She could never see her best friend's daughter in misery.

Furthermore, she knew Zaria loved her son.

Hearing Madam Anderson's words, Alec felt intense pain in his left side of the chest.

Madam Anderson wanted Zaria to be with her son. She did not even need to hide it.

It meant he had no chance to be with her.

If only he could have more time in telling his feelings to Ria. He wished he was not a coward enough.

All four of them looked at each other, not saying a single word.

"Aunt, why did you..." Zaria whined and looked down, feeling shy all of a sudden.

Her aunt announced this whole thing in front of her friends loud and clear, and Zaria did not even tell them. She felt like a bad friend.

"Madam Anderson, don't worry. We will surely help you whenever you ask for our help. We all want Zaria to be happy. We all are her friends." He let out a fake smile, looking at Mia Anderson.

'This young man is meticulous.' Mia Anderson was quite pleased.

Alec made contact with his other three friends and kept smiling at the hosts of the house.

"Guys.." Zaria was moved.

At this, the Old Madam felt like a villainess when she saw other children glancing at the Williams' kid over their shoulders.

Still, it was better to cut the roots of an infected plant early rather than let it grow and cut it later.
