[5] THE ARROGANT MECHA!

Operating a mecha was the dream of many children she was familiar with but Kayra knew that it was nearly impossible to get an opportunity like this. The current situation was also something she had never imagined about either.

"Thanks, System! You are the best!" Kayra exclaimed cheerfully. She felt lucky that she got such a reliable system which was extremely useful in crucial times.

Then she went ahead and walked in front of those blocks. After walking back and forth, finally, Kayra stopped in front of a pillar. She was curious and stared at the dark blue block which had beautiful golden patterns.

She slowly poked at it and nothing happened. Thus, with a smile, she took it in her right palm.

From her mind space, the pointy part of the system stared at the blue block curiously. After a while, Phiphi became indifferent.

Kayra curiously clicked the red button which was placed on one side of the block.

[Close your eyes and grab it tightly.]

Kayra did as the system told her. She felt a mysterious force was trying to suppress her and that was coming from the blue block. She instinctively tried to fight back but in ten seconds, her mind was beaten by the force.

"Huff! huff! What was that?!" Kayra asked breathlessly as she tried to take more air. Then, in front of her eyes, the golden color of the block became dim.

"This…"

[It rejected you. You failed to cater to its power.]

Kayra felt hurt as she placed it back with pouting lips. 'I am weak after all…'

"I have failed to activate any of these. How am I supposed to leave now?!" Kayra asked dejectedly as she stomped on the ground. She glanced at all those blocks and her head dangled lifelessly in sorrow.

[These mecha blocks already have their masters so how will you activate them?]

Hearing it, her head sprang up in surprise. "What?! Why didn't you tell me before?! Were you playing me?!"

[I was just checking if any mecha was still ownerless or not. Don't just stop here. There is still another left.]

"Another? Where?" Kayra asked in doubt as she glanced around. Then, she noticed a strange part on the wall. It had the design of a red flower with nine petals on a particular side.

'Could it be this?...' She thought as she inched towards it. Her fingertips touched the flower slowly and then that part came out towards her.

A compartment revealed itself from the wall containing a block. The nonagonal block was red and it had nine flower petals in silver color.

Like other blocks, this block also shone brightly with red and silver lights. Kayra looked down at it and murmured, "I can sense a strong and violent energy from it. There is no way it won't bully my poor mind like those other shitty mecha blocks…"

Hearing her murmur, the other blocks began to radiate heat and red lights, showing their anger because Kayra insulting them.

But because they needed to be activated by their master to get the humanoid form, they were currently helpless and could only bounce on the pillars!

Kayra glanced at them warily. They were jumping like ping pong balls, ready to charge at her!

[Go, try that block. If you fail this time too, there will be no other way except turning into your beastly form.]

"Ah, beastly form?" Kayra questioned and then her eyes lit up as she asked, "It can't be that I am a vampire?! I have read quite a lot of web novels. People with red eyes are surely vampires or royal people with magical power!"

Kayra blinked her eyes and asked. "Then, what am I?"

"Hey, why are you quiet? Did you go offline?" Kayra asked. But she didn't hear from it, nor did she see the pearly thing in her mind space.

"What am I supposed to do?" She muttered out and then stared at the nonagon block. 'Let's take a gamble. God, please… help me again!'

Kayra clenched her eyes tightly and then chanted, 'God is great! God is great! God is great!'

After she reckoned it was enough, Kayra stared at the block sharply. After wiping her palm on her waist, she clutched the block tightly.

Soon, an overwhelming force flowed throughout her body and her eyes shut themselves subconsciously.

In no time, Kayra was dragged into a mysterious dimension and dropped from the sky.

"AHHHHH!" Kayra screamed at the top of her lungs and her cries echoed throughout the dimension for a whole one minute. But when her body touched the floor, she didn't feel any pain.

"Where am I?" Kayra murmured as she slowly stood up. The ground was made of mirrors and it stretched throughout the whole place.

Looking once again at her reflection, Kayra stared at her bright face and giggled happily, "Ah~ I am so beautiful~ My precious face~ Love you~"

She gave a flying kiss to her reflection on the ground and a complacent smirk appeared on her face. She was glad that her face was the exact one from her past life except for the eyes and hair.

Creak~ Crash~

Suddenly, the dimensions shook and the ground broke into many pieces. Kayra was so scared that she had the urge to use her shiny life essence to fly in the air.

'System, where are you?!' Kayra did not find Phiphi in her periphery.

{ Another fool who has come to challenge this great Lord? You insignificant beings surely are pathetic among pathetic! Even after you all have been defeated by me thousands of times, you still come to become my master?! How dare you! }

A figure which was 50 meters tall stood right in front of her and stared down at her tiny figure disdainfully. His voice was so familiarly sarcastic that she thought of her system right away.
