[1] DEAD!

[1] DEAD!

A loud bell rang out, indicating the college was over. Everybody was putting their stuff in their bag to leave as soon as possible! After all, who would want to stay in this class for an extra second?!

"Kayra, do you want to go to my home today? We can watch anime the whole night. My parents aren't home either!" A girl who was her friend came to her desk and excitedly said.

Kayra Van, 19 years old, was a bright girl with bright black eyes, a slightly upright nose, and bow-like eyebrows, and whenever she would smile, two cute dimples would flash on her two cheeks.

With such cute features, she was liked by everyone in her class!... Cough! Even females couldn't escape from her cuteness!

Kayra smiled as she shook her head, "I can't. I have a date with him… cough! My boyfriend."

As soon as she talked about her boyfriend, her face lit up like a 200watt electric light. The friend was speechless watching this familiar scene for the nth time.

"Yeah! Go go! Hurry up!" The friend waved her hand and walked away. For single people, it was torture to see this reaction of hers!

Kayra shook her head at her friend's dramatic reaction and walked out of the class. Her smile didn't go down at all even after several minutes, rather, it became brighter.

Her long black hair fluttered like silk in the air. She adjusted the eyeglasses which were on top of her nose and looked ahead with expectations for today's date.

In front of the bus stop, a bus slowed down. Several people walked down while others went in. Kayra went to sit at the bench which was placed under the shade of the bus stop.

Then she took out her butterfly-shaped mobile phone and called someone. When it went through, she excitedly whispered with a shy face, "Baby, I have already arrived at the stop. Where are you?"

"Ah! Already?! I am coming…"

However, the other person's words didn't enter Kayra's ears. With a thud, she dropped her phone and bag on the ground and rushed ahead.

In front of her, a blind old lady was trying to cross the road with the help of a stick. But two huge buses were rushing towards the old lady at high speed.

"Grandma!" Kayra dashed forwards at lightning speed to save the woman. Her morals didn't allow her to unsee an upcoming tragedy and went ahead without thinking twice.

Kayra grabbed the old woman's hand and sighed in relief. Then, she hurriedly tried to drag the other person behind but right at this moment, something happened!

Kayra slipped on a rotten banana and fell!

Not only did she fall, but her hand also dragged down the old lady as well!

"Ahhhh!" Kayra.

"Eh?!" Old lady.

Two screams rang aloud in the surrounding area and after a while, a loud crash.

The bus drivers, who were competing against each other in speed, didn't see the red light ahead and in a few seconds, these two large vehicles clashed against other cars!

In the process, one bus completely lost control and got overturned! Sounds of things breaking, horrifying screams of hundreds of people caused huge chaos!

After one hour, a reporter was seen reporting the current situation in all seriousness, while in the background, many people were crying, "Today, on the most crowded street of the city, the Banana Street, a huge accident took place! Twenty people have died and the number is still increasing…"

Kayra, who was standing beside the reporter, "..."

She looked down at the rotten banana and then glanced ahead. With little steps, she walked beside her own body and leaned down to touch it but couldn't!

She crouched down and stared blankly at her body. It did not take long for her to burst out in anger.

"I died?! How could I die?! Today, I wanted to kiss him but I am dead now! How will I kiss…" Kayra swore with a loud voice.

She didn't care if others could hear her or not because she had already known after her death, that nobody could hear her anymore.

Also, she noticed that the old lady she had intended to save, had vanished at some point. She guessed the other person was okay and this notion gave her a little bit of relief.

Amidst her swearing, she didn't notice that someone had appeared behind her soul and the dead body. She did not walk there but appeared out of the blue. The other person touched her silhouette which was turning transparent as time went by.

As soon as the old lady touched Kayra's body, a blue light flashed on Kayra's skin. Kayra felt very tired and then her transparent eyes turned hazy.

Her soul dangled beside the old woman with an emotionless face and the other person was busy opening a black diary.

"2908… done!... Wait! Why is the gender written as a male?!" The grim reaper was shocked as she turned her eyes towards Kayra. She gulped as her eyes fell on Kayra's crotch.

A soul would always have the exact characteristics similar to its body and thus, scanning the soul was enough to determine the gender.

Then, she activated a secret technique and scanned Kayra from head to toe.

"Weird… where is that bone?!" The old lady blinked her eyes and murmured in confusion as she threw the black glasses away which made people think that she was blind.

"Kayra!" A boy came running from the opposite direction and crouched down beside Kayra's dead body. Tears streamed down his eyes as he screamed in madness, "Kayra! I am sorry! I am late! Wake up!..."

"..." The dead heart of the grim reaper shook violently when the [2908] number on the book shone and flew towards the boy who was mourning with the bloodsoaked dead body.

The four numbers surrounded the boy and made multiple copies of themselves. Then, those numbers began to rotate around him crazily, trying to shackle him but his rich vitality made it difficult to penetrate his body to imprison the soul!

A person who should have died was fine and thus it caused a huge disturbance in the surrounding space. If the grim reaper delayed taking any action, those numbers would directly kill the man crying like a child.

'I fucked up on my first day! Wuah!' The grim reaper fell to the ground and stared at the boy with spiritless eyes. Behind her, Kayra's soul floated and distorted into many shapes like a noodle, roller, paper, sword… etc.

"Argh!" The old lady rubbed her head and stood up. Then, she touched the middle of her forehead and gulped down with panic while murmuring with closed eyes, "Manager… I messed up!"

"Deal by yourself! Beep~ Beep~" The manager of her branch disconnected the line. With soulless eyes, she turned around and stared at Kayra's soul.

Then, her eyes went past the horizon as she murmured with creased eyes, "Rule 50001. If any grim reaper kills the wrong person, she has to compensate the soul… How to..."

She took a deep breath and then stared at Kayra like a predator waiting to swallow her prey. "Nobody has seen me… I can hide the mistake… Hehehe~ If you don't exist in this universe, my manager won't find~ Huhu~"

With a snap of her two fingers, the grim reaper's whole body changed from being old to young. She turned into a ten years old girl with dark red eyes and grabbed Kayra's head.

"Die!!!"

The girl grabbed Kayra's soul by the head and did a 180° flip. As soon as the soul touched the ground, a black portal opened and the soul disappeared into an unknown void.

Her dark-red eyes glanced ahead as a sweet smile bloomed on her face. She licked her red lips with a crazy expression and murmured, "Who is next?... Oh, that boy!"
