4 Land of Hope
Everything was pitch black nothing could be seen nothing could be felt. It was the void but one thing echoed in James's ear it was Noah's last words."Live for Us". But suddenly he felt a sharp pain, it felt unbearable and he wanted to die but he couldn't do anything. He was unable to die and unable to live stuck in the void with nothing but the memories of demise of his friends. It felt like he had been stuck in there for decades but one day the darkness started to fade away and he saw a ray of hope and tried to grab it and everything just faded.
He slowly woke up to a blinding light with a sharp sound of flowing water with a iron like smell and a sharp pain in his shoulders and back. It felt horrendous but after so long in the void everything felt better. He tried to move but he felt weak and paralysed. He shouted at the top of his lungs to get some help but nobody arrived. He slowly crawled to the near by river to drink some water. He saw a couple of footprints near the river bank so realised that it was a place locally visited. But, he couldn't just wait for help. In his condition, he would most likely die in a couple of days so he looked for easy food around him and sam a couple of berries. They looked like blue elder berries so it was probably safe to eat them.
A couple of days passed, he was now able to walk by the help of crutches and was extremely surprised by the recovery rate. So, he decided to follow the trail that he last saw it had gone a bit cold but it's direction was towards the north. He slowly walked towards north and saw a person nearby rather quickly. He screamed with joy " HEY HEY, OVER HERE!" They quickly ran towards him and said something. But, there language was completely different he had never heard something like this before. He realised that he should try his best to stay alive so he acted as an extremely vulnerable and pitiful person, and it worked. They probably took pity on him and suddenly started carrying him on their cart. He just waited and tried to communicate in sign language but it was to no avail. So he was just looking outside and saw a two tailed cat and a huge deer. He had never seen things like this so james was completely dumbfounded.
After a while, they reached what looked like a small village and carried James to an old man, maybe he was an elder if the village and dropped him there. The elder said something and they went away. The elder spoke " So you are the second chosen one. I expected someone who was a bit stronger." James was shocked he was in complete disbelief. Several questions rushed through his brain in a second. From" who are you" to "where are we" and much more. James had barely recollected himself but the old man spoke once again" I know that you probably have several questions for me but they can wait. For now rest for a while. These people will treat you well if you act dumb. So be aware because you will be here for a long time ."
