The Doors of Stone

(Old Town)

(Week after the Melee)

Daeron woke up with a gasp, he tried to sit up but his body ached a lot, he noticed he was in an unfamiliar bed inside a very extravagant room "Lucerys calm down you are safe" He heard a familiar voice say from beside the bed.

Turning around he saw Margaery who had just stood up from the chair she sat in and approached him to check if he was okay "What happened?" Daeron asked groggily as he struggled to sit himself up against the headboard of the bed.

Margaery sat on the edge of the bed her hands on her lap, though she wasn't facing him while she talked "After you defeated the Mountain you fell unconscious, the tournament Maesters were going to heal you but Garlan stepped in and decided that he would hire the best Maesters available from the citadel to rent to you at our manse, he said anything less would be dishonourable as you saved his life" Margaery explains.

Daeron smiled at the chivalrous act, it was rare to see people behave in such a way these days. Daeron had to get up soon and find out where the girls were.

'The girls!' Daeron thought in a panic.

'Glad to know I only slip your mind occasionally, you might end up breaking this poor maiden's heart one-day' Shiera said through their link.

'I'm sorry Shiera I would never forget about you' Daeron said to her in a pleading voice.

'Calm down Daeron, I know... I was worried though, I know you could've killed him easily using magic which is why I didn't step in. But it was hard to hold back watching you get hurt that way' Shiera replied her voice sombre.

'I'm sorry Shiera, I promise to try and not worry you again' Daeron says to her.

'You better' she says cheekily as she stops talking.

Daeron finally refocuses on his surroundings, he sees Margaery and she's still not looking at him, he reaches for her and puts a hand on her shoulder "Margaery? Is something wrong? I am sorry for worrying you, the truth is I underestimated my opponents"

Margaery rubs her face with her hands "It's my fault... it's because my grandmother caught us spending time together that you nearly got killed" she says in a low trembling voice.

Daeron knew this of course, Loras' comment to him made that all clear but he didn't blame Margaery for it "Margaery look at me" he says softly to her, though she shakes her head not wanting to be seen crying.

Daeron cleaning his teeth and working through the pain of his aching muscles and healing wounds grabs Margaery's arm pulling her onto the bed. He looks at her face and he can feel his heart beat a little fast as he ends up on top of her.

Even with tear stains running down her face she's still beautiful, he cups her face "Margaery... if it meant I would have never met you and our time together be a distant memory I would get out of bed right now and fight in that tournament again" he said softly to her.

Margaery feels her heart explode at his words, her tears stop and her golden brown eyes meet his starry blues "Kiss me... and don't stop" she says to him.

He needs no more invitation as his mouth connects with hers, his bare and bandaged chest mashing with her clothes almost pushing her large breasts out of their confinement. The finds herself spreading her legs for him, her body knowing what it wants, she wraps her hands around his head gripping his silver locks as he grabbed hers in return. She can feel his hardness rub against her through her clothes and a shiver of pleasure and excitement runs through her body.

She wants to be taken by him, she didn't understand how she could utterly fall for someone in such a short amount of time. Daeron removed himself from the kiss, their bodies were both flush as they breathed heavily their breath mingling together as their bodies were entwined.

Daeron can feel his cock almost burst out of his underclothes but he knew he had to stop, Margaery's life would be difficult if he took her Maidenhead, he was planning on leaving so he couldn't do that to her as he enjoyed the time they spent together "We shouldn't continue, I don't wish to dishonour you" Daeron whispered to her.

Margaery shook her head "It's okay, I want it to be you, please" she says as she kisses the side of his face and the corner of his mouth making it even harder to resist.

Daeron hates that he has to lie to Margaery, he desperately wants to tell the truth, but he couldn't, it wasn't only his life that it would affect but Sansa and Arya and the other girls.

"Margaery... I-I-I'm leaving soon, and we will probably never see each other again, doing this wouldn't be right" Daeron said to her as he cupped her face.

Margaery felt like an idiot for the first time in a while, for a moment she allowed herself to believe that they could stay here together, perhaps he could get knighted like her father suggested "I-I s-suppose that you would, now that the tournament is over" she said trying to hold herself together.

Daeron got off of her lying next to her instead, Margaery stood up smoothing down her dress "There are also two girls staying here as well, they said they are relatives of yours... Nymeria and Lyarra I believe. They are both sleeping at the moment as they spent nearly all their time here for you. I'll send them in once they have awoken" Margaery states trying to maintain her facade.

Margaery then leaves the room and to her credit, she manages to make it to her room where she promptly breaks down and starts crying, she lays on her bed hugging her knees to her chest. She's felt so alone ever since she can remember, all of her friends have been approved by her grandmother and aren't any more real than the ones her father has. She'd finally found someone real and now he was going to leave.

'You're going to be Queen one day' she hears a voice that sounds like her grandmother echoes inside her head.

'My blood will finally be on the throne A voice now that of her father's echoes

'My sister the queen and me as her Kingsguard' Loras' voice echoed out

Margaery then thinks back to a conversation she had with Lucerys during the month they spent meeting at the orphanage.

(Flashback)

Daeron was currently taking a break sitting on a bench outside the orphanage with Margaery "I don't think I have many goals in life, I suppose I just want to be happy and have fun, maybe travel to new places"

He then turns to Margaery "What is it you want to do in life"

Such a simple question and yet it seemed like one she had never been asked before. She was about to respond with her answer of wishing to be the Queen of the seven kingdoms but found the words were stuck in her throat.

Daeron smiles at her "It must be the first time you've been asked what it is you want"

Margaery found herself even more speechless at the ease at which Daeron had read her "Believe it or not I know how it is to feel like that, I was raised by my uncle and my whole life he groomed me to join the Night's Watch. My choice in the matter seemed to be optional" Daeron explained.

Daeron turns to her and holds her hand "What you have to do is close your eyes and go deep within yourself and find what it is you want most"

"What other people want is stored here," Daeron says as he points towards Margaery's head

"But what you want is stored right here, " he says as he points to her chest.

(Flashback End)

Margaery knew what she wanted now, it falling for Lucerys to make her realise it.

'I want freedom, I want friends, I want to live outside of castle walls, I want to discover new things... I want Lucerys' Margaery thought to herself as she lay on her bed.

———————————————————-

Daeron had felt terrible for the rest of the day having had to break Margaery's heart like that, his wounds still hurt as well making him more miserable, he did manage to go to sleep shortly after sunset, however, he started to stir as he felt a warm and wet sensation, his eyes opened and he was met with the image of two heads of hair, one finger and the other dark.

His eyes widened as he saw Sansa and Arya both leaning on each of his legs, Sansa had the shaft of his cock gripped in her hands as she fed it into Arya's mouth as whispered into her ears.

Both of them had removed their clothes and their legs were swaying behind them, he could feel both of their sexes on his legs forming a wet patch.

Daeron groans as Sansa massages his balls, something she'd learnt he liked during the short sessions they had "Gods! Arya, Sansa what are you doing" Daeron shouted in a whisper as he went to remove Arya's head but she moved her tongue in a pleasurable way making him grab her hair and push down slightly.

Sansa smiled innocently at him "I knew that Arya liked you and I was tired of not being able to spend intimate moments with you, so this seemed like a worthy compromise" she simply states as she strokes his hard shaft.

Arya removes her head from his shaft "Am I doing it right" She asks in an uncharacteristically submissive voice.

Sansa moves her face next to Aryas and whispers, after she does so Arya uses her tongue to run up the back of his shaft getting a moan from Daeron. While not as pretty as her sister she had a cute tomboyish look that Daeron liked, he could feel her athletic body pressed against him as she put her mouth back over his cock suckling on the tip while Sansa licked his shaft.

Eventually, Daeron felt himself about to burst, the feeling of having his cock pleasured by the girls as well as their naked forms pressed against him was too much.

Sansa could feel his cock start to twitch and his balls start to throb, she whispered to Arya who nodded and moved her head off of his cock, Sansa quickly took her place as she stroked rapidly.

Daeron thrust upwards as his seed spurted out of his cock, Sansa having done this many times was able to swallow it all.

Both girls crawled up towards him after he finished they both held themselves up on their arms allowing their breasts and nipples to be seen. Sansa then looked at Arya and nodded her head.

A few seconds later Arya punched Daeron in the face giving him a nosebleed, he grunts in pain when she does it "Hells! What was that for!" He said to her.

But before they could answer they both hugged him tightly, finally realisation dawned on him, they must've both been scared when they saw him fall in the field, Shiera was concerned and she wasn't even there. Daeron smiles gently and strokes their bare backs as they press themselves tightly against him.

"I'm sorry I made you worry," he says as he kisses both of their heads. They must have been exhausted as they fell asleep very quickly.

Daeron disentangled himself from them and got out of bed, his body still ached and throbbed with pain but he could move and wanted to get some fresh air. Putting on a tunic and some breeches he left his room heading into the empty hallway.

It was surprisingly empty though it was pretty late, he expected to at least see a few guards. Finally finding an exit he went through the doors into a lavish garden.

'As expected of the Tyrell' he thought to himself as he took a seat overlooking the flowers.

He's brought out of the tranquillity of his thoughts when a woman sits next to him, she wears a red dress and had long red hair.

Daeron turns to look at her noticing that she's already looked at him "Is there anything I can help you with my lady?"

She smiles at him, though Daeron can't tell the reason for it "You are even more splendid in person than in the flames"

Daeron scrunches his brow in confusion, he takes another look at her before realising she looks like a Priestess of R'hllor "My lady I'm not sure who you think I am but I believe you're mistaken"

She shakes her head "You couldn't hide from me any more than you could hide from our lord, and now he needs you"

She says but before Daeron can inquire as to what she means his vision goes dark as he feels someone hit the back of his head.

———————————————————-

Margaery was having a dream, one she had often, one where she flew through the sky above all of the problems she had, above all the political intrigue and backstabbing.

She could finally go where she wanted and do what she, though she was snapped out of this dream by Sansa and Arya who shook her awake.

"Lady Margaery wakes up, someone's attacked the manse, and most of the guards have been killed!" Arya shouted at her making her sit up straight in bed.

"That's awful! Is my family okay was anyone hurt!" Margaery said as she gasped in horror, she then looked up at Sansa who looked teary-eyed.

"They took Daeron..." she said tearfully as she cried, not realising the mistake she made.

'Daeron?' Margaery thinks to herself before her eyes widen, putting it all together she finally figured it all out.

———————————————————-

Daeron woke up in a dank and dark place barely illuminated by light, he easily recognised the stone that composed the ceilings, walls and floors, it seemed to drink the light from the torch making it a lot darker than it should've been.

Daeron tried to move but realised he couldn't, he seemed to be tied to a post, he looked forwards and noticed massive doors made of stone with symbols surrounding it that he had never seen before.

'DAERON!' He heard Shiera shout in his head making it throb.

'I'm here Shiera, don't shout my head hurts enough as is' Daeron replies.

'Where are you, I can barely feel you through our link' She asks him her voice slightly panicked. Regardless of how she talked to Daeron, he was essentially her father, and it made her panic as she slowly felt their connection erode as if he was dying.

'I think I might be in the Hightower, it's the only place in Old Town that has black stone' he replies.

'I'm coming now' she simply states.

'Not yet, it's best not to cause a panic, if I can't escape myself then come and get me' Daeron says to her getting a reluctant mental nod of confirmation.

Daeron is snapped out of his conversation when he hears footsteps coming from behind him, turning as head as far as it can go he sees the priestess that he had met in the garden, she was accompanied by a short robust man who wore a mask of Valyrian steel and the robes of a Maester. Behind them were guards who looked more like hired blades than actual guards.

The Maester approaches Daeron and starts touching him inspecting his body "Truly magnificent, to have a creature of such magical power before my eyes"

"Be calm Marwyn, soon the entire world will have people like him" The Red Priestess comments as she walks to a spot beside him.

"What do you want with me," Daeron says to the duo, his throat is sore and his body still aches so he can't speak loudly.

"As Melissandre said, we wish to return magic to the world, and you my boy are the key" Marwyn states as he points his rod at him.

"For magic to return old powers must awaken" he continues, this line concerned Daeron, he had run into old powers and it was never good it always ended in a fight to the death.

"And how will you achieve that," Daeron says hiding his concern behind bravado.

Marwyn points his rod to the large doors of stone "I've studied this door almost since the day I became an initiate"

"A long time ago I figured out what this place was... it is a prison, an old god has been trapped behind those doors... and once I open them, magic shall return and gods shall walk amongst mortals" Marwyn says in excitement.

Daeron is now unable to hide his panic "You don't understand what you're doing! You can't let whatever is behind there out, it was put there for a reason!" He shouts at them as he tries to get free of the bindings. He tried using his magic but found that he couldn't, the combination of his weak body while being attached to a black stone pillar made it impossible.

Melissandre smiles at him as she goes close to him "First I will help release this god but after I've upheld my end of the bargain I shall release our true god, and R'hllor shall rule over us all"

Daeron knew she was crazy now if he didn't before, he had spoken with R'hllor many times and he knew she would never do anything like that.

He grunts in pain as he feels himself being cut, Melissandre moves her body back revealing she had a knife and just cut his arm. She then approached Marwyn as they got ready to open the doors.

"STOP IT!"

"DON'T OPEN THE DOOR"

"YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU ARE DOING"

Daeron shouted though his pleas fell on deaf ears as they both continued to the door set on releasing whatever was trapped behind.

'Shiera!!! Destroy the tower!' Daeron commands through the link.

'But you're still-'

'I don't care!!! Kill everyone inside the tower right now! They can't be allowed to open the doors' he said cutting her off.

Shiera couldn't do it, she couldn't bring herself to willing kill her father, so she ignored his commands, much to the frustration of Daeron.

But it was too late anyway as they had placed his blood on a rune in the centre of the door, lighting up all the other runes surrounding it. Daeron's heart was beating out of his chest as he looked at the doors slowly starting to open.

"YES! Return to our world! Take it for your own" Marwyn shouts in excitement as he kneels.

The doors are fully open and what's behind the door is fully revealed. Standing 10 metres tall with the wings of a bat, legs of an eagle and the tail of a scorpion and the body and face of a woman, it was a harpy, the old ghiscari god.

Daeron couldn't help but laugh though, his maniacal laughter rang throughout the room echoing off the black stone walls. The reason being that the harpy was dead, the god that was supposed to return to their world and rule over them lay dead against the wall of its cell.

"What are you waiting for Marwyn! Worship your god I'm sure she's listening" Daeron shouted sarcastically with contempt dripping from his voice.

Marwyn sat there in disbelief looking at the representation of his hopes and dreams, it was as if his whole life was for nothing. For this dead creature. Melissandre though had not said a word and instead kneeled next to Marwyn whispering in his ear.

Daeron didn't hear what they said but whatever it was it managed to cheer Marwyn up as he stood up immediately and shot Daeron a menacing smile.

"Blood can do more than open physical doors, with enough power inside it can open the doors of life and death" Marwyn states as he approaches Daeron.

"I wished to keep you alive for you to witness the new world, but it seems that isn't to be" he continues.

Marwyn withdraws a dagger from his robes and approaches Daeron. He clenches his fists around it as he prepares himself to kill him. However, as he gets close the temperature in the room noticeably drops.

Everyone there apart from Melissandre starts shivering, though a frown mars he features as she looks to the corridor that they had previously come through. The whole corridor seems to be frosting over, and around the corner, Adara appears as she ethereally floats over the ground as she makes her way towards them.

The guards try to get in her way but as soon as they get close they freeze before falling over and shattering, though her expression doesn't change at all when this happens as if they didn't even register with her.

"Gods already walk the earth... but none of them are interested in us" Daeron says to Marwyn as he looks at the ancient being in shock dropping his rod.

She floats to the pillar that Daeron was tied to touching the robes making them turn to ice before crumbling "You left..." she simply says to him, though to everyone else it sounds like ice cracking.

Melissandre starts to chant and her entire body seems to become engulfed in flames, she knows this creature is related to the great enemy, so she must destroy it.

Adara cups Daerons face as she presses her forehead against his own, however, she turns around when Melissandre who looks to be an avatar of fire launches a stream of fire at them, though it doesn't even reach Adara as it is too cold.

Adara floats over to her accidentally brushing against Marwyn who turns to ice on the spot before falling and crashing into thousands of pieces. Melissandre is chanting once again and the flames intensify, she's using spells that were used before the doom of Valyria and yet they seemed to do nothing.

Adara stands in front of her and very lightly she purses her lips and blows gently. Though this has the effect of completely extinguishing the fire Melissandre had summoned. For the first time since she was a child Melissandre started to shiver, she had not felt the cold since she gave herself to R'hllor but now she couldn't get warm.

The ethereal beauty stood in front of her with a frown, she reached out for Melissandre and with every inch her hand travelled she felt her life flame getting closer and closer to being extinguished.

"Adara..." Daeron says sternly, Melissandre sees the frown on the creature's face be replaced with a smile as she completely ignores her in favour of Daeron. She floats over to him and places herself around his shoulders with her arms around his neck and her head on top of his.

Daeron sighs as he approaches the dead body of the god that was sealed away. Looking between its legs he sees an egg that's the size of a child. He sighs at what he has to do.

"Adara," he said to her, he didn't even need to say anymore as the connection they had together remained strong.

With a wave of her hand, she completely encased the body and egg in ice hopefully preventing anyone from ever getting them while killing any life that could've been in the egg.

Having done what he needed to Daeron left the black stone fort at the bottom of the Hightower leaving a Melissandre who still couldn't stop shivering.

(AN: So I think next chapter imma make them head to Starfall, it's time Jon reunited with Rhaenys. Tbh I had many ways I thought of playing this out, I thought about having the harpy still be alive and Jon fights it on the dragon back, but I thought Fuck it. I did say less eldritch stuff. So Adara saves the day.)

Btw I've started a new fic give it a read , also if ya feel like supporting me or want to read the next chapter early.
