1 Chapter 2 - Infatuation or love?

When I reached home, I ate my dinner early (like 5pm in the aft), suddenly my phone rang.

*unknown number calling*

Van: "Hello?"

Unknown number: "Is this Van Hailey?"

Van: "Speaking. Who's this?" I asked curiously but trying to figure out who this guy was.

Unknown number: "Oh okay. It's me Raf!"

(OHMYYYYY SIOMAIIII. IS THIS TRUUUUUE?! HE GOT MY NUMBERRR? SRSLY?!!)

Van: "uh.. Hey Raf! You called?" (what the..)

Raf: "Uhm. Nothing. Just wanted to know you're home safely."

Van: "yessss.. Uh. Yeah am home safe. Thanks anyway!" (OMG! Idk what to answer!)

Raf: "Alright. Maybe I'm disturbing you? You doing anything?" he asked with a shy voice.

Van: "No. Not doing anything actually, except eating. Haha! (laughing awkwardly)" 🤦‍♀️

Raf: "You love eating don't you?"

(Hey is this guy making fun of me. We only met 😑 but he talks cute.) ☺️

Van: "Hey food is lifest you know? We won't live without it. Want some?" (Did I just ask this guy that question. Stupid Van! Stupid) 😭

Raf: "Well. Hehe. That's sweet of you. Bring some here at home. If you could go out again?"

(REALLY? IS HE ASKING ME TO COME OVER TO THEIR PLACE?!) that was sudden.

Well yea, I've been to their house already. But I never saw him there. Maybe he was always out.

*GOING BACK

Van: "You're asking me to come over? Is Pat there?"

Raf: "nope. He went out again. Said he was meeting someone." his voice suddenly toned down, like he was dismayed or something.

Van: "Hmmm.. I could still go out. But I only got few bucks with me..

Then suddenly he just cut me off while I was talking!

Raf: "That's great! Gonna pick you up in a few! See you!" then he hanged up.

😳😳😳

Am I gonna go out with this guy???? NO! We're just friends. Maybe he just likes to get to know me like what Pat did. Haaaaaaa!!!

I'm scared, nervous, NOT AT EASE! Oh c'mon Van! It's just a simple meet up with a new found friend. RELAX! Calm.. Down..*phew

After a few minutes...

Raf: "Van?! Hey! I'm outside! It's me Raf!"

Did he just really come to my place? But wait how did he know where my house was? Did Pat tell him?!

Van: "Raf?! How did you know where I live?" 🤔

Raf: "I asked Pat which house you were in. So you wouldn't have to walk outside to the street." he just smiled sweetly and winked ☺️😉

(*sigh. He just looks so cute and handsome and.. HEY VAN SNAP OUT OF IT) Then I just slapped my face to wake up from my daydream.

I walked outside with just my phone and purse.. Sh.. I forgot my hanky.

Raf: "You forgot something?"

Van: "Just my hanky. Brb!"

Then he held my hand and pulled me back.

Raf: "Here have my hanky." ☺️

I just paused and..

(I..AM...IN SHOCK! WAKE UP VAN! WAKE UP!)

Raf: "Van? Earth to Vaaan? You there?" He made fun of me.. Like really. Hahaha. 😑🤣

Van: "oh. Uhhh.. Yea. Thanks! But you might need it. Imma just get mine inside instead if you don't mind?"

Raf: "Really? Just take it Van. I dint use it anyway. It's yours. Remembrance" 😉

Van: "thanks Raf. That's too kind of you" shakingly getting the hanky.

Raf: "No problem. For you." 😊

Emotions goin WILD! HAAAA. This is INTENSE!

As I was abt to ride on his motorcycle, he held my arm to make sure I could get up right. (He had a big motorcycle, soooo. It was pretty high for me. And my height was just 5"1) REALLY? THIS IS DEPRESSING. I just felt that chills again running up my spine and my heart was raising again. This feeling is really pissin me off. Don't say the word Van. No!! Does this means I'm falling inlove?!!! *SIGH

After a few minutes..

We reached his house then he told me to wait on the veranda. It's where me and Pat usually hang out. But right after he parked his motorcycle, he held my hand and brought me to their mini hut outside. (I paused for a bit. Cause he held my hand! That chills again!!)

He told me we could eat and maybe drink there. (By the way, drink beers or hard drinks. YEA. I drink a lot too. Pat maybe told him AGAIN what I usually do when me and Pat were together.)

Raf: "What do you wanna eat? Did you bring your food or do you want me to cook calamari for you? We also have chicken if you want it fried?"

*Van staring blankly at him

Van: "ha? Oh right. Whatever's there, anything will do. Make sure it's edible. Haha. Kidding."

That was awkward.. 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Raf: "Haha. Of course. Wait a bit. Gonna cook you somethin special."

Raf winked at me and just smirked and smiled.. And ughhhh!! What the heck. He's really handsome!!

While he was inside, I heard something ringing at my side. It was his phone! And a girl was calling him. Her name was KAYE. Fudge.. I think he was really just nice to me. I think he's taken.. And maybe that would be the reason why I dint really see him here. Maybe he was with her. Ugh. Am I really jealous?! I'm feeling this?!

Hey that hurt..or maybe she's just his friend? Asking him something? Maybe not.. Idk.. Gonna find out later.
