Prologue

~Zin's POV~

I enter the guild to see the usual everyday thing going on. Natsu and Gray are, as usual, throwing insults at each other and are fighting. As I walk towards the request board, Natsu sends Gray my direction, I casually dodge and tell Gray to put some clothes on. Once I am at the board, I notice a rather unusual request. It was asking for a mage to investigate the sudden disappearances of some people from a nearby village. So I grab the request and bring it to Mira for approval.

"Hey Mira," I say.

" Hey Zin. Going on another job?" Mira asks.

"Yep. And its a rather strange one too."

"Are you going to take your sister with you?"

*sigh* "No. She's on a different job. So I will be going solo on this one."

"Oh, okay. Well, good luck on the job!"

"Thanks. See ya!"

As I walk away, Natsu suddenly calls out to me, "Hey Zin! You wanna go on a job with me and Lucy?"

"Sorry, Natsu," I reply, "I already got a job. I'm going solo this time."

"Aw man! Maybe next time then!"

"Maybe!" I shout back. Just as the guild doors shut behind me, I hear Mira yelling at Gray to put clothes on. Shaking my head in disbelief, I head home to pack for my trip, and to get my exceed, Sol, to come with me.

~Time Skip~

After meeting with the elder of the village, Sol and I immediately started searching the large forest for the missing villagers.

"Do we have to start our search now?" Sol whines.

"Yes Sol." I reply "Remember what the village elder said? He said that the villagers started disappearing at night after the whole village saw a bright, white, flash during the day."

Sol is about to give a snarky response, when we both see a gentle, white, glow.

"Let's go investigate," I tell Sol. Nodding his head, we go towards the light. As we get closer, my head starts to feel heavy, almost as if I was getting tired. As I slowly lose conscious, I see a figure approaching Sol and I before everything goes black.

A/N: So sorry about the short chapter. I just wanted to get the story started. Please let me know on how I did. I will try to create longer chapters, but I can't guarantee it.
