1 The beginning

Humanity is an agile and quick witted race. Starting from a stone wheel and progressing till they finally were able to step out of Earths atmosphere. Human ambitions knew no bounds. The only chains that were holding them back in each technological era were the available tools and a energy source.

With the invention of the steam engine humanity started it's age of industrial revolution. The tools that a human could operate started scaling both in complexity and size. Machines created in this era were trully astounding and powerfull, making full use of the energy generated by the steam engines.

In the XIX century humanity was gifted with a new source of energy - electricity. Starting from that moment technology revolving around it started their rapid growth. All kinds of inventions were invented from that point on. Starting from a lightbulb and moving on to computers, mobile phones and other commonly used devices of modern age. In it's usages electricity was more versatile than steam power. Almoust any mechanical work can be converted into electricity. With the invention of batteries as a way to store energy and cables to transport it from point A to point B, electricity has rooted itself as a universal type of energy.

The biggest catalyst for further technological progress was the invention known as the Internet. As being just a way of delivering information from one place to another the ways information could be delivered evolved in quick succession with technology. Simple messages were just a start and as of right now it is used as platform not only for business but also for entertainment. As the internet grew in size the ways using it grew exponentially with it. Internet stores, streaming platforms, cloud technology and etc were just a few examples of it.

All of the follow up inventions were centered around market needs and necessity of maintaining a comfortable lifestyle. And with the help of the internet the competition for the marketplace was elevated in a new dimension. In fact humanity has taken a huge step in it's technological spurt that you physically won't see even one human being without a gadget running on electricity. Society as a whole migrated into virtual space.

With the internet going worldwide almost every human was connected to it. The informational overflow a normal human was subjected to grew with every generation. At some point, the involvement with the internet was a need for every human as a way to be in sync with society.

But as every era had it's beggining - a new one was about to start. One evening the sun was brigher than usual and just when the daily sunlight was changing to artificial illumination... the lights went out. The new era has officially begun and the chaos brought by it was just beggining as well.
