Deep in to the maze of memories, visions began to flash back.

Emma looked down at her hand which was now all covered in blood. She lost all her strength and fell down on the pool of blood. The pounding pain of the knife stabbed deep into her chest, making her senses numb within a second.

She pulled at the handle and more blood began to flow down. With her trembling and frightened voice, she looked up to the person in front of her. Her eyes glistened in the moonlight as the admiration for her loved one crept its way into it, "If we get to meet again in our next life, promise me... we'll be together again...".

A man walked towards her. He took her cold hands into his and uttered the words she was desperate to hear, "I...promise".

Emma woke up from the cold nightmare. Her breath hitched as she grabbed the pillow beside her tightly. Not long after, she realised, tears were welled up in her eyes.

Her sudden movement woke up her roommate. With one look at emma, Ashley continuously asked with a worried voice, "what happened?"

"...I just... I had a bad dream" emma replied with her trembling voice. "the same dream?" the other asked. it's been a long time since she started to have the same nightmare. Emma nodded and stood from her bed..

"it's just a dream, forget it" ashley failed to keep her sleepy eyes open any longer.

emma ignored her and walked to the balcony. wind felt strong that night. she stood there while taking in the view."why am i seeing the same dream everynight?...

what does it mean?...

why do I feel their pain...?"

Later that day in school, students began to enter their classes. Emma walked ahead with slow and steady steps. she couldnt sleep well that night. her head was still full of thoughts. Just then, a girl ran at her in excitement. she looked around and saw her friends.

They were all each other's companion since their childhood. they all had different personality and status. yet their differences never made them apart from each others. they enjoyed each others company and grew up having the best memories. they've been together for so long.

Can they keep it up?

At lunch time in canteen room, esmay spoke out with an excited mood,"this weekend, lets go for shopping!" Esmay grew up in a wealthy family. she always hyped up everyone around her. in the other side, she was addicted to selfies and her phone.

"i thought ..." astrid stuttered in the sudden mention of outdoor plan. she was the most shy and quiet one in their group.

she declines her friend's offer whenever they try to take her out.

"we'll come back soon. it wont take that long" Flora assured her. she was always excited about plans followed by esmay.

"im in. You should also come with us. it will help you get over your 'bad dreams'." aspen was another follower of esmay. she was the most caring and supportive one among them.

Astrid stared concernly at emma "bad dream?... how is it like?" Emma was quite different from the others. she didnt seem to have interest in the same things as her friends. she always lacked behind in term of relations or trends. "its in somewhere cold...a girl was stabbed...there was a guy...im not sure"

Aspen interrupted as she noticed her struggle to speak more."she's having it since last month." Esmay laughed it off like a joke "how childish to have such dreams, you're just overthinking about it.

a little distraction can make all that dissapear."

At last the friday night arrived. they all entered the shopping mall with dramatic entrance. people stared at them when they noticed the group of beauties. As they stood in the escalator, they were all busy with looking all around and whispering about the expensive brand cloths. They parted ways once reached the floor.

Astrid whispered to herself" i want to buy a dress-" too bad for her, flora heard it. she shot back, "where are you gonna wear it?" astrid had nothing left to say. she barely walked out of her room. buying a dress for special occassion would only be waste from her side.

while walking ahead, Esmay spot a group of guys she's familliar with. she reached out and grabbed Aspen, "Arent they from our school?"

Aspen noticed the curiousity in esmay's eyes. she asked back with a teasing smile, "you wanna talk with them?" Esmay moved away her eyes "better get our shopping done first."

Emma and Flora both entered a shop. The only thing they had common was not being used to girl's fancy dresses. they preffered comfortable wearing as shirts and jeans. while they walked around,

Flora spot a flower keychain. just then, emma called out to her, "i'll go and look over there". the other simply nodded.

few guys among the other group entered the same shop while the girls were unaware of it. they walked and looked around.

Meanwhile the other way,  emma finally found a tshirt she desired. it looked perfect for her size. just when she reached out for it, someone else grabbed it. puzzled with their sudden touch, she stepped away. as if it wasnt bad enough, her head began to shake crazily in a second. a shelf clashed into her back.

"you okay?" the gentleman offered his hand for help. emma avoided his eyes and stood up by herself. brushing off the dust in her cloth, she left without looking back.

Emma came out and joined her group of friends. but they all seemed disappointed with her empty hand. Aspen yelled "why r u so into the jeans & shirts? why cant u just buy a pretty dress?" emma gave her a cold shoulder, "can we leave?" Flora jumped in with an annoyed look, "well, buy something!"

Emma noticed Astrid. she stood infront of

Astrid got scared with her sudden appeareance. with a soft voice and heart eyes she replied," i found something.

people believes it helps you get rid of  the bad dreams and gives you the good ones.

Emma, "its...so nice of you...thanks for looking for it."

Astrid,"will you take it?"

Emma,"yea of course"

Emma brought the bracelete and both of them walks away to the others.

Flora, with a curiousity,

" so, what did you take?"

Emma shows the bracelete.

the others seemed pretty down cause they thought of something shiny and expensive.

Flora,"isn't it too simple? i thought we're shopping for the party."

Emma notices  Astrid is kind of sad with their reaction. still she was quiet.

Emma, "i think it's the prettiest think i could have got today.

let's go home."

While they were going down the floor, all of them noticed the group of boys .

Esmay suddenly spoke up,

"that guy in the red jacket gave me his number."

Flora,"really? omg! what else?"

Esmay replied with an showing off tone, "not much...we talked"

Aspen, "cant wait to hear what will happen!"

A week passed. Esmay takes Aspen everyday to meet with the Guy.

He also broughts another person.

Aspen wanted to spent some time alone so,

One day, She called the other three in her house.

they arrived and walks to her room.

Aspen came forward.

With a helpless and annoyed voice she said,"it's a disaster!"

Emma asked, "what's wrong?"

Aspen replied, "She takes me out everyday to meet with her...."

Flora , "if you're annoyed , you can just deny. why are you still following her?"

Aspen looked for the right time.

"well....if i stop, someone else has to go."

Astrid was sittiing beside Emma the whole time and eating cookies.

suddenly , "are they together now?"

Aspen tries to act more helpless and replied, "They are and im the one who is completely stuck."

"how about we switch?"

Flora, "what!"

Aspen, " i meant sometimes...

someone else would  go with her. then we'll all get  chances to meet with the other ones."

Astrid, "So...he brings his friends?"

Emma," then ...why are you suddenly bored and annoyed? you can talk with a guy."

Aspen," im not annoyed. actually i want all of you to get  chances too. think about it, Esmay and i both found someone.

All of you should find someone too.

Aspen's phone rings. She picks up the call and left the room.

Flora, "she's saying it cause they wanna spent some time 'alone' too."

Astrid , "it's a good thing. right?"

Emma disagreed and yelled, "not good. my parents will kill me if they find out im meeting with some guys."

Flora stared at Emma and replied,

" parents?!? come on, our parents dosent even care about us. well...i need someone who can take care of me for the rest of my life."

Emma has always kept distance from mens. she thinks all they want is to play with girls.

"boys are trash"

Flora smirked ," look whos speaking. someone having dream about a men beside her"

emma started yelling, "stop talking nonsense. I dont control my dreams!"

Aspen walks in and sees the two besties fighting for the first time.

she quickly changed the topic

"Esmay called.

Who's up?"

Emma looked at Flora and with a arrogant voice she replied, "well go on! dont you need

someone to 'take care of you'?"

They both starts fighting again.

Aspen and Astrid looked at each other and sighs.

Suddenly, Astrid shouted "I'll go"

Everything went silent.

A shy girl like her suddenly showing

courage to meet with a guy made everyone question who they knew since 15 years.

But she did it only for them to stop fighting.

Emma realised her mistake.

She calmed down and said, "you dont have to do it...."

Astrid felt like they are looking down on her.

This time, her words came out like she wanted it, "i wanna try"

Flora misunderstood what Astrid was trying to say.

She got furious and started shouting

"Go ahead.

let's see who's interested in you!
