1 Chapter 1 - Maria and the Four Lovers

While feeling bitter watching the elementary kids playing and messing around outside the classroom window. I slightly tilted my head to the right to find the better angle of my aching neck.

'Lucky you little cunts'

Suddenly, someone in our class burst out laughing, then the rest of my jack-ass classmates follows.

"Quiet!" Our English teacher slammed the blackboard using her palm.

I inwardly signed in annoyance.

Our English teacher pointed her fingers to Raul, the leader leader of those jack-ass. Using her strict gaze, she starts to interrogate Raul.

"Am I making jokes in-front of the class Mr. Sarmiento?"

The boy Raul casually waves his hands and answer

"So so.."

Our English teacher finally erupted because of his disrespectful behavior. Shaking her head as if she's disappointed.

"I'm sure our beloved senator will be very displease of your behavior."

Ah, yes. He's that kid who have daddy issues. Well, let's care less. Let's just thank this classmate of mine for stalling time in our class.

I-too hate politician, spoiled brats, wicked cats, random stranger who will randomly shake your hands and do some weird stuff to you for their youtube channel, the 'pick me girls' or a-girls who wears sailor moon outfit or grades schoolers outfit just to shake their botties on tiktok is so annoying as hell. In short, I hate everything.

Like right now.

I saw a fat chinky kid that picked his nose and wiped his bogart on the other female kid cheeks is so annoying. He also rubbed his butt on the slide like he found his own heaven.

Disgusting.

Squinting my eyes, I diverted my gaze back to my blank notebook and started scribbling some random words.

'Dead'

'Tree'

'Boring'

"You mis-write the word 'boring' 4 times" my

right ear twitched because of her cold breath directing inside my ears.

I closed my notebook and neatly set it aside.

"Can you mind your own business Nicky?" I whispered back.

Nicky grinned and signaled some hand gestures to Nile who sits in-front of us and like twins, they both started laughing silently.

Must be hard for both of you to laugh like an idiot.

Nicky and Nile are both of my friends, as i said. They're twins and both weird.

Holding a stick of fishball (1) on my right hand and tapping my phone on the left.

Nile softly poked my lips using the fishball gesturing to open my mouth. I gladly accept it and immediately opened my mouth. She feed me 3 more times before stopping.

Nile fish out her handkerchief and gently wiped the sauce beside my cheeks.

"Mhmmm." Feeling satisfied she hummed.

"Did you read the new popular book on W-book this week, Amy?" Nicky asked while her gaze is still fixed on her phone screen.

I shook my head and passed the ice-tea to Nile.

"You should, it's quite good."

Nile scoffed and said. "Your book taste is garbage. Just like your crush." then proceed to drink the Ice-tea in one gulp.

I glared at her.

What a bad woman. Drinking my ice tea in one go.

"I'll buy one again." She said and I instantly drop the idea of arguing. Yeah, she's like your perfect best friend but can also be your boyfriend sometimes. I'm kidding. She's more like a mother.

"Hey! Raul is not trash okay?! He just got daddy issues, but that makes him hot."

Me and Nile expression both cringe.

"Anyways, this book is titled 'Maria and The four lovers' it's really good. Maria is like a greedy cat and the male leads can be easily tame by her! It's a simple book, not too mang twist and turns and so very direct! Other might say that the plot is for kids, but trust me, it's not." She encouraged me.

"See? Garbage" Nile. "I rather trust those reviewers words than you, Nicky."

I nodded my head in agreement.

Nicky clicked her tongue and playfully smacked her twin sister arm using her fist.

"Tomorrow is Saturday and we First year senior high really got nothing to do this week, so maybe when i get bored I'll try reading it." I replied then took the last bite of my fishball.

"You're always bored." Both twins said in unison.

"Ha ha." Avoiding their stares, i start to roam my eyes on the surroundings only to spot Raul running like a chimpanzee trying to escape to some tiger and as if his life is depending on his speed. The guards was alerted and everyone easily noticed what's happening, including my friends.

"Is that Raul?" Nicky

"Obviously." Nile.

Mhmmh. I quietly hummed as I stared on the speeding big truck on the distance, horning, without doubt warning us something. Like- his brake broke or he's saying that 'get out of the way- pretty boy coming through' jk it's a song. Anyway.....

Similar to some cliché movie accidents. Raul began to cross the road, at the same time, the truck paved the distance between him and Raul. Raul is so shock that his feet seems glued on the road. The Loud horning from the truck and the shouting from the guards and other people enveloped the surroundings.

Everything is like a slow motion in my eyes, my vision buzz and my head ache as if I'm an outsider and everything I'm seeing right now is inside a television, losing it's signal.

My ears begin to bleed. It hurts. I immediately covered my ears using my palm, even though i knew that it won't really help to stop the bleeding. Like I'm use to the bleeding, i just let the blood flow.

'Crash!'

'Boom'

Once i blinked, the time goes back to normal.

Smoke arising in the middle of the road, there in the middle. A large broken truck is laying sideways, all the mirrors broke and all the tires flattened. The driver was thrown outside the broken window because of the impact, so his unrecognizable face and body that was missing with one leg and 1 arm was the spotlight of the accident. The people shrieks in shock and some sobbed like a baby. And to my surprise, there is also a crashed Tesla in the middle, it's so crashed that the blood of the person riding it was splashed and bathed the car door with his own blood and flesh. Assuming that the Tesla faced the truck head on. i clicked my tongue in disappointment.

Lastly, there is a little boy crouching there in the middle of both crashed vehicles, trembling, crying and covered with dirt and smoke as he stared at the Tesla car with widened eyes.

I didn't expect that, he is alive and kicking.

Well, if you have a senator father and loyal bodyguards, of course such luck will be produced.

"What the fuxk?!" Nile cursed

"wahhh!" As expected, nicky began crying. She sat on the floor and covered her face using her elbows.

Ah, life.

I clasped my bloody hands together and silently murmured some words to pay some respect to the poor souls that acquitted such bad luck today, and to the dead.

"Wahh! Hik— what the fuck is that?! Hik— wahhhhh! N-Nile!"

Nile began consoling Nicky even though she, herself is also trembling. They hug each other to ease the fear on their heart.

They seem to forgot that I'm still here.

Hours passed. The sirens of the police and ambulance boomed. The school alerted our parents and my mom panicky arrived at school.

"Amy baby! Are you okay?! Mama is so worried about you baby." My mom hugged me, burying my head on her chest. It's feels suffocating but yeah, I don't really mind.

"I'm okay Mama. I didn't saw what exactly happened so I'm very okay, but Nicky and Nile is panicking. Help them Mama." I said while hugging my mother and crying. Fake.

Of-course that was half lie. I saw everything but that doesn't really matter cause it doesn't affect me. There's this energy that pulled me out when that accident happened so my senses became numbed. I didn't feel any pain-emotional or mentally. But that would be weird in the eyes of others if I'm still composed and calm after what happened. So as a normal teenager. I cried in my mama's arm.

Going back at home, I bid my goodbye to Nile who is stunned while both of their parents was consoling the crying and panicking Nicky. I gave her a tight hug and said "everything will be okay soon."

My mom and I departed.

When we arrived at the house, we eat our vegan dinner cause my mom thinks that I don't have any appetite to eat some meat after the incident, it's such a pity that I can't eat meat cause that's my source of energy but oh well.

I climbed up and locked my room. Took a bath and dried my hair. Facing the large size mirror, i start to inspect my face.

"Another pimple is growing." A new bump appeared on my left check, it's very visible and red.

I'm just another average normal teenager, crammed about about school works, assignment, project and presentations. I have nothing special on my face or body, except for the fact that, I suffered from extreme hallucinations, sometimes it can be very dangerous depends on the situation. Every time i experiences that, it felt as if that mysterious energy from hallucinations took something from me. Like for example-my senses for a short period of time. My doctor said that it was caused by stress and fatigue. I also have an insomnia but once i get to enter inside my dreams, i will start hallucinating and when i woke up, my body will be paralyzed for under 15-20 minutes. It feels like shit.

But i got used to it.

I don't know if I'll thank or curse this disease of mine.

Heaving a sign, i pick up my phone and starts scrolling. I opened the curtain of my sliding door of the terrace. The moon light immediately entered my room, giving my room a very comfortable vibe.

It's still early. Around 9 pm so I decided that i should spend my time reading.

I laid down on my bed and clicked the book "Maria and the Four lovers" and began reading. Every 15 minutes my expression can't help but turn sour and scowling. I can't even taste the banana muffin right after chewing and chewing that mom gave me before i got up in my room.

After 2 hours i finished the book. Unbelievably. I began to question my own book taste.

I closed my eyes and and sat up straight.

"Stupid....trash....piece of garbage...augh!" Since no one is around, I instantly yanked my phone towards the edge of my bed. I'm not planning to broke my phone for a petty reason like that though, even though I'm so frustrated of the story. So i just threw it with a small force but unfortunately, my phone fell underneath my bed.

I just shrugged my shoulders and approached my terrace. I parted my sliding door and sat on the mono-block that was placed in my terrace.

I look up only to see the moon becoming brighter under the starless sky. What a weird sight, but since i am surrounded by every weird things. I didn't make it such a big deal.

Inhaling the cold air and start to bad mouth the book.

"Stupid plot, stupid book. that's it? It became number one just because of that? Hah! Even children can write some plot like that! Stupid stupid! It was so far from reality and reading it will make you stupid!" Just like I'm doing currently. It was a stupid sight to see if anyone can see my state right now.

Scrunching my forehead i said to my self. "Stop, let's sleep now. Tomorrow morning you'll have a lot of time reporting the book and create some spam account to write bad review so calm yourself." I consoled my self.

No one can help you better than your own self. You can depend on somebody you trust but it will be only temporary, you do not control them. They will eventually cut ties and get tired of you, so better take this advice and only trust your self—secretly. Obviously excluding yourself in the community is not a good way same as attaching yourself too much in the community is also not a good way.

I yawned and checked the time on my wall clock. 11 PM.

I didn't notice that i was sitting for an hour outside, mosquitoes frequently fly around me but never get to land because i put some mosquito patches all over my clothes.

I closed the terrace and let down the curtain, my room became dark and feeling sully. I turn on the lamp and when I lifted up the quilt to have a good night sleep, my phone chimed.

3 times underneath my bed. I lazily stretch out my arms underneath my bed and using my senses, i blindly search my phone underneath.

It appears that my phone really fell and roll on the deepest part cause i only feel soft rubber, woods things and celluloid- plus a dirt.

I squat down and lowered my head under my bed.

It's quite dark and chilly under here.

My nose wrinkled as I moved out the boxes and toys covering my phone. As I remove the last object covering my phone, I almost knocked my head in surprise.

Only to see my old bisque doll.

Smiling at my direction with her broken right eye that i stabbed with a pencil when i was still a young child.

'Bitch, you surprised me.'

My eyebrows knitted in annoyance. This goddamn doll is still here? I thought mama put her away? I clicked my tongue, looking very displeased because of the ugly thing in front of my face.

Without thinking twice, i slapped it hard away and didn't even take any initiatives to look where did it landed under my bed.

There i saw my cellphone, covered in dust. I quickly pick it up and wipe the dust away.

I climbed up on my bed and lifted my quilt, squeezed my body between two large pillow. Checking my notifications, i received a very weird email. I opened it and a familiar book cover greeted me.

But little did Rae Amethyst know that inside the dark room, there, a disfunction doll stand up and grabbed its phone beside her. Clicked the sign in button then disappeared in the darkness as if nothing happened.

Rae amethyst body began to glow, and was instantly wrapped by a mysterious void that mysteriously appeared on the air, like magic.

Rae amethyst body disappeared, and no signs of abnormality can be detected, including the doll underneath its bed. Silently grinning.
