16 LSAFH

It's two in the morning, and I'm still wide awake. The street lights are shining through the living room windows as I lay across the sofa, staring up at the ceiling.

*RING* *RING* *RING*

Who's calling me at this hour?

I sit up and scoot over to the other side of the sofa and grab my phone off of the coffee table.

"Hello?" I answer.

"Can you let me in, please?" Easton's voice was muffled.

"What the-" I scurry to the door and open it, letting him in. "Why are you here?? It's two in the morning" I inquire, raising my eyebrows.

"I was out late and I didn't take my car. The doors were locked when I got home, and I forgot to grab my keys, so I just came here." He cups his hands together and breathes into them, trying to warm himself up.

"Well since it's cold out there, I don't see a problem with you staying over." I lie back on the couch and peer out the window, staring at the moon.

"Where's your mom at?"

"She had to leave for a couple of days... again."

"Well, it's important that she had to, otherwise we'd be getting nowhere with this case."

"I know. I know." I groan, "I'm just tired of her leaving me here by myself."

"I'm literally right here." he sneers at me.

"I'm talking about in general, and I wouldn't be complaining right now if Serena wasn't a lunatic. I mean, she's not really a lunatic, but you get what I mean." I sit upright and rest my head in the palms of my hands.

"Well, I know it's going to get better. It won't be like this forever."

"Yeah, but it needs to end. If it doesn't, I'm just gonna do it my way. Whether I get arrested or not, this has been going on for seven years- that's way too long. If they still can't find a way to gather information and evidence, then something needs to be done."

Easton gets out of his seat and comes to sit down next to me. He removes my hands from my head and meets my gaze with his.

"Just try to relax, okay? I will be here with you, every step of the way."

His face... So close to mine. I can feel his breath against my skin, and I'm gulping for air as my attraction toward him is distracting me from every emotion felt that lies between us. I can feel my cheeks warming up, and my heart beating intensely out of my chest. Now I'm so lost right now, I can't even tell if I'm talking to myself out loud or if this is my inner voice.

God... I can't stop looking at him. Why isn't he saying anything? He's just looking back at me, and it's making me feel funny.

Right as I say this to myself, Easton hovers over me. He's pushing me onto my back and I'm already getting lost in his touch. He traces his tongue along the side of my neck, all the way down to my collarbone. Now he's taking off my shirt, along with his. The warmth of his body, and the smell of his cologne... I'm taking it all in.

He's kissing me from my neck to my waist, and my legs are beginning to tremble. I can't hold in my groans... this is something I never could've imagined happening between the two of us, but I'm not complaining. This feels amazing, it's like a dream come true. He lifts me up and places me on his lap and wraps his arms around me, pulling me closer to him. Now we're heading up the stairs, toward my bedroom.

Wow, we're really doing this. What am I doing??? This is totally not a good idea, but I can't stop myself. The art of seduction is unbearable under these circumstances. If I stop now, who knows if I'll disappoint him. I have to let him take control over me... I want this, and I'm sure he wants this too.

I've woken up lying alone in my bed... Wasn't Easton here last night? Didn't we... Have sex? I can taste the scent of bacon entering my room, now I know where he is. That's a relief, I thought I had a dream. I slip on his shirt and head downstairs into the kitchen.

"Good morning," he says while washing plates in the sink.

"Good morning" I yawn.

He drops a plate into the sink and turns around, wrapping his arms around my waist, with his hands still wet.

"Agh, your hands are soaked!" I squirm around trying to avoid getting his shirt wet.

"So, how was last night?" he smiles at me.

I blush instantly and look away from him.

He snickers, "What?"

I turn my focus back toward him, "It was fun." I smile back.

He lets go of my waist, approaches the stove, flips around the bacon, and takes the toast out of the toaster.

"Want some?" he asks.

I sit down at the table, "Of course."

Out of nowhere my mom slams the door open and greets me. She sees Easton standing in the kitchen half-naked in her Apron.

"Um... why is he here?" She sets her keys on the coffee table while watching him cook.

"Kind of a long story. He got locked out of his house because apparently it was two in the morning and he forgot to grab his house keys before he left, so he came over here, and yes I let him stay for the night. Why are you home so early?"

"I'm not staying. I forgot my files so I came by to get them. Don't let him stay for too long, I don't need Nicole freaking out."

"I actually texted her when I woke up, so it's okay." Easton pleads.

"Alright well, I'll be home by Tuesday. Don't get too comfortable, and keep the house clean, please."

I sigh and roll my eyes, "I will."

She grabs her papers from the kitchen counter, picks up her keys, and leaves.

"I thought she was going to freak out when she saw you. I'm surprised she didn't." I snicker.

"Because she likes me. She knows I'm not a troublemaker." He laughs.

After eating breakfast, Easton gathered his clothes and put them on. He left afterward. Now I'm sitting on my bed with my shirt off, wondering what I should do now that he's gone.
