Chapter 1Wu Yong

Black Jade City.

Wu Clan.

Wu Clan residence spanned dozens of acres, taking a significant portion of the Black Jade City, with thousands of Wu Clan members residing in it.

In the deepest recesses of Wu Clan, a man was seated, cultivating. Surrounding spiritual energy churned and gathered behind him. Occasionally one could see flashes of lighting around his body.

He had a mature appearance, suggesting his age to be in the late twenties. He had an aura of authority around him, making people reluctant to disobey him. He was the Patriarch of Wu Clan, Wu Yong.

Wu Yong opened his deep eyes, inhaling the last bit of spiritual energy gathered around him.

"A little more and I can break through the Late-Foundation Establishment Realm."

Wu Yong mused, he believed that he would be able to break through in one or two more years.

Thinking about this, he looked at the unsealed floating scroll in front of him.

[Name: Wu Yong]

[Title: Lord Wu, Patriarch of Wu Clan]

[Lifespan: 37/300]

[Cultivation: Mid-Foundation Establishment] [+] [310/300]

[Cultivation Method: Azura Thunder Heart Chant]

Transcendent Scroll, as he liked to call it. This scroll was similar to a Dharma Treasure, in regards to it being with Wu Yong for as long as he can remember it.

It was a heaven-defying treasure. It only had one use, being able to break through realms with 'points'. He was able to obtain points by killing other cultivators and beasts.

But the peculiar thing was that not every cultivator or beast he killed gave him points. One of every ten cultivators he killed might give him points on average.

So even after so many years, he hasn't been able to figure out the reason.

On the other hand, he recognized the usefulness and rarity of points early on, making him not spend his points on breaking through minor realms, instead focusing on using them for major realms.

"Lord, Elder Liu is awaiting your summon."

Wu Tiu, his personal guard, came in, breaking away his thoughts.

Wu Tiu wore a pitch black robe, blending in with the shadows.

He was Wu Young's oldest subordinate, his right-hand man in the Wu Clan. He was a 9th-level Qi Condensation cultivator.

"Send him in."

Wu Yong replied.

Moments passed by, before an elderly man walked in with a flattering smile on his face.

"Greetings, Lord."

Elder Liu said, cupping his fist as he bowed.

If Wu Tiu was his right-hand man, then Elder Liu could be said to be his left-hand man.

He was the first elder to submit and support him, for the Clan Patriarch position. He was also a 9th-level Qi Condensation cultivator.

"I am listening."

Wu Yong remarked, looking at Elder Liu.

Elder Liu also sat down, putting away his flattering smile.

Taking a deep breath, Elder Liu immediately dropped the shocking news.

"Lord, according to my spy in the Fang Clan, Fang Xue has fallen trying to break through to Core Formation!"

Hearing this piece of information, Wu Yong laughed, scaring Elder Liu out of his wits.

Every time his Lord laughed, blood was shed. He could already imagine the Fang Clan's fate.

Fang Clan was one of the Four Great Clans of Black Jade city, along with Gao, Wu, and Xu Clan.

Fang Clan was the strongest out of the four, but after the fall of their Patriarch, it couldn't even begin to compete with them.

Thinking about the vulnerable Fang Clan, It would be rude of him not to take action.

Wu Yong immediately took out an empty scroll before writing something with his spiritual energy.

"Wu Tiu."

"Lord."

"Deliver this personally to Gao Clan."

Wu Yong said, handing over the scroll to Wu Tian.

Wu Tian bowed, taking the scroll before vanishing into the darkness.

Wu Yong looked at Elder Liu, and started giving out commands.

"Meet with the rest of the elders and strengthen the guardian formation to the highest level."

"Call back all the Clan members back to the clan and prepare for battle."

Wu Yong said, with coldness evident in his eyes.

"Yes, Lord."

Elder Liu also got excited, thinking about the expansion of the Clan!

He retreated and immediately got to work.

Wu Yong also closed his eyes, not slacking on his cultivation.
