4 Chapter:-4 Kite (Part-2)

The Church doesn't really requests for help unless there is really some witch who is powerful enough to trouble them. They have called Kite only three times to assist catching the Witches.

Cynthia Rubina was a farmer's daughter who awakened her power at the age of 18. Her family was greatly astonished by the fact that their daughter is a witch.

Even then they didn't tell anyone about it but instead they acted like everything was normal.

As a teenager, who tend to make mistakes ,she was deeply fascinated by her ability to control shadows. She could manipulate the dark and use it as she wished.

She can control people using their shadow or manipulate her shadow to exist in three-dimensional plane.

One day while practicing shadow manipulation ,one of the villagers saw her and reported it to the church. The church sent their [Punishers] and raided the farmer's house.

Cynthia was forced to escape by her father while he burned the farm to provide distraction and to cover her tracks. Unexpectedly their house also caught fire burning Cynthia's father and mother alive.

She ran and ran.....Tears continuously spilling out of her swollen eyes. Her feet had cuts and bruises all over them. A little blood flowed out of her mouth as she forcefully bite her lips and endured the pain.

"I swear....I will destroy you CHURCH....!!!!!!!" screamed Cynthia as her magic went wild due to the intense emotional fluctuations she was experiencing.

Her magic network was being continuously destroyed and reinforced by her magic as she started to evolve into an extraordinary Witch.

She spend the next 3-years to perfectly master her new found strength and skills. The reason why it took so long was that there wasn't a safe place to practice magic, there were always people around so practicing her magic was a bit hard.

After 3-years she returned and wreaked havoc to the Churches. Due to her ability being related to shadows, she was able to perfectly cover her tracks and disappear whenever she thought it was dangerous.

She killed a lot of Church personnel and caused heavy damage to many Churches. [God's Witches] were sent after her, but using her unique power she always avoided her pursuers.

Left with no choice the Church had to ask for help from the Kingdom's pride. Kite was invited by the Church to assist and kill Cynthia.

Kite took the job and tracked Cynthia by using the [Sigil of tracking] power. Once her location was locked ,Kite attacked the Witches and subdued her with his sword.

Afterwards she agreed to serve as a personal maid of Kite so that she may get the change to destroy the Church as her master had no interest in Church but even disliked them.

Since Kite knew the truth he naturally despised Church.

Like Cynthia , Mellena was also the daughter of a merchant who was abandoned by her father. He said "Go Mellena, your father can't protect you neither can take care of you anymore."

"Church is out on a [Witch-hunt] if you stay here ,you will certainly die. I don't have the strength to change the fact that I can't shelter you but at least I can help you escape from this place."

The man takes out a quill & paper and started writing ,a order for clothes export ,he made Mellena hide in one of the crates with penty of food and water inside and told her.

"If you one day become strong enough then destroy the Church. Only then you can live freely with any fear of being hunted or chased." Mellena remembered these words of her old-man and swore to become strong enough to destroy the Church.

She was able to manipulate light particles and form a small three-dimensional object (e.g. a cube, a cone, etc.) out of magic in her hands.

The object expands once released by the user and moves astonishingly fast at its target; anything that passes through it (or that is passed through by it) is disintegrated on a molecular level.

She too was caught by Kite at the cost of his right arm. Due to the passive regeneration provided by his sword he was able to recover from his wound and fully subdue her after sometime.

And finally Kattara, well.... when compared to the previous two Witches , Kattara had a much simpler reason to fight against church. Hope.....She wanted to become the light that illuminates the darkness and pave a way for other Witches.

[Hope itself is like a star – not to be seen in the sunshine of prosperity, and only to be discovered in the night of adversity.]

With her power of a telepath, she became the main target for the church. The ability to control minds and other matter was very desirable. But Kattara was a peak-extraordinary Witch....Not even the [God's Witch] could fight against her.

Also with her powers ,it was a piece of cake to hide from the church. It took Kite months to find her and capture her using the [Sigil of scream].

The sigil disrupted her mental powers, making her defenseless. Kite faked her death so that church can't use her as a weapon.

Though the church was spektical about Kattara's death, after conducting an investigation they dropped the matter after not being able to find her traces.

These three accompanied Kite as his personal maids and protectors while they together plotted against the Church.

Those fake worshipers were slowly ,slowly take control over the whole kingdom. Nobles were delaying them to the best of their abilities but they couldn't stop them from gaining more control.

Kite had restricted the Church's movement in the western and southern region of the kingdom with the help of merchants.

The forces with the most power in a kingdom were neither the Church nor the Royal family but the merchants. Every country runs on the income gained by the market and taxes.

The merchants invest in a kingdom and sell all kinds of things in the market ,people buy it profiting the sellers whereas the kingdom take a portion of the income and build more structures in the kingdom which in turn increases the number of merchants investing thus generating more income.

You can fight the Church, you can fight the Royal family but you can't fight the market ,the one who sells you all that you need.

Even if the Ruler changes and power shifts for one hand to another. The market always stays stable ,even profiting when the kingdom is facing disaster.

The Church don't have material for building their stronghold in the southern and western portion of the kingdom. Though Kite allows them to move in these areas under the supervision of a [Watcher].

Kite's father has grown old and has decided to chose a successor hence the race for the throne has already begun. King's two Elder sons are busy fighting each other whereas his elder daughter has already took over [Blackwater city].

His younger daughter has gone missing whereas his youngest son is too be sent to the [Border town], away from the battle for the throne.

The only regret the Old-king had was that he couldn't give the throne to his beloved adopted son ,Kite.

Even his he agrees ,his ministers and the Church wouldn't allow that to happen. Also the fact that Kite doesn't has any interest in becoming the king.
