3 Chapter:-3 Kite (Part-1)

In this world where Witches with magical powers abound, and fearsome wars between churches and kingdoms rage throughout the land.

Luo Shinki or rather Kite Wimbledon had been reborn as the adopted son of the King of Graycastle. According to his fragmented memories he remembered that this world that he had been born into was also a work of fiction.

The King of Graycastle once found an abandoned child when he was returning from Eagle-city to his castle. He decided to adopt the child in hope of raising him as the protector of the next king.

The King named the child as Kite,...Kite Wimbledon. He assigned his most trusted general to raise the child as a true warrior and noble-man. Unlike those pretentious fools that only know how to flatter him.

[People and nations are forged in the fires of adversity.]

He wanted Kite to grow up into a strong individual who could help the future king in handling the kingdom, to become the [Dark-night] that protects the kingdom and the ruler.

[Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened ,ambition inspired, and success achieved.]

The child also didn't disappoint him. He was a true genius who showed Mensa's 17 signs of being an absolute genius.

These qualities distinguished Kite from others of his age. He spend most of his time training ,reading and learning Noble-etiquettes. He was a master of spear and sword.

The child wasn't a single percent less than a God's child, blessed with all the qualities that could make men great.

He grew up to become a loyal citizen of Graycastle ,a son who loves and admires his father, a brother who cares about his siblings, a man who respects his up-bringer the most, a son who cherished his family.

He soon surpassed the now Old-general, retired after serving the King for more than half of his life. He became the new general. A battle-genius who crashed ever kingdom which dared to declare war on Graycastle.

His father ,The King was always proud and happy with this adopted son of his, though none of his children could make him proud even though 3 out of 5 were pretty talented.

After defeating a large threat in the east of the kingdom, Kite was crowned with the title [God-general] who swore to stay by the side of the next king and make Graycastle flourish.

The king gifted Kite a sword made up of the purest Sigil that was passed from generation to generation of the Royal family.

Some Magic Stones pieced together, can have extra abilities, alter their magic powers' properties, or increase their effects. Magic Stones that are pieced together are called Sigils.

Using many different and unique Sigils this sword of absolute slaying was forged. It was a weapon that even the church yearned for. But the problem was that this legendary magical weapon could only be wielded by those worthy enough.

Many had tried but were unsuccessful to even lift it. Kite was chosen as the warrior of the [Holy-sword] who existed for the protection of the Graycastle empire.

With this sword of his, Kite slayed many tyrants ,many enemy kings ,many assassins and many Witches or so everyone thought.

Due to Witches being dispised by the church, Kite was sometimes requested to eliminate rogue witches who committed many crimes.

His sword had the basic ability of sealing the non-extraordinary Witches which made them normal womens like any other, though most of the time when the church asked for his assistance ,they wanted to dealt with an Extraordinary witch.

Witches are mortal women who start to absorb Magic power, and become a new species.

Witches awaken their powers at a random moment in their lives, usually during puberty; if a woman doesn't awaken by the time they turn 18, they will never be a witch. Witches are sterile, the reason currently unknown.

About 1 out of 100 women can become a witch, and then only 1 in 10 witches exhibit "combat" powers, this includes Extraordinaries.

Evolution may unlock combat powers for initially non-combat witches.

There 3 important events for a witch:

Day of Awakening: Awakening of their ability.

Day of Adulthood: Improvement of their ability with a chance to gain a Branch ability.

High Awakening / Evolution: Improvement of the ability by obtaining a better understanding of their ability and possible use.

Witches can feel an awakening call. Magic power would gather inside a witch's body on the aforementioned Day of Awakening.

During this process, a witch would not only be able to feel the weird changes inside her body, but also, for a majority of witches, they would be unable to restrain the strange magic power, causing them to use their newly-gained ability involuntarily.

For witches who awakened only near the end of adulthood, it was as if they never had a Day of Adulthood.

Their magic powers were never able to develop and thus remained in the pre-adulthood form forever. Naturally, they didn't have the derivative skills and steady growth that were unique to adulthood.

We don't know if such witches were able to have High Awakenings, but if they were unable to develop, the problems with their magic power would bug them for the rest of their lives, self-reinforcing witches are called [Extraordinaries].

These witches never suffer magic energy backlash as their bodies are always using magic energy.

They are also immune to the effects of [God Stone Of Retaliation], and can use them offensively, evolved Extraordinaries are called [Transcendants].

The immunity to [God's stone of retaliation] made it had for the church to fight against Evolved Witches without the use of the [Church Witches].

But this wasn't a problem to Kite. His sword could release a red-mist that demons required to respiration to fight against the Witches and even kill extraordinaries.

But he didn't kill them, after conversing with his father, the King. Kite knew that this was nothing but the church monopolizing the gifted Witches to control the kingdom. So he gave them a choice ,either serve as a maid in his household or disappear forever.

Most of the witches chose the former as they knew that no matter where they ran, the church would sniff them out and either capture them or kill them.

Kite had 3-extraordinaries within his command as his personal maids.
