Getting Ready

The building on the left is used for loans and repayments whilst the building on the right is used to sell and acquire precious items including Beyonder ingredients and magical items.

However, Hidal guessed that the magical items here are those that have weaker abilities or those with auxiliary abilities. After all, there is official monitoring here. If powerful magical items are lost, it is their dereliction of duty.

Pushing open the door of the building on the right, Hidal found that it was divided into two rooms, and there were two customers waiting in the outer room. They were wearing half-height silk top hats, pressing it down very low for fear of others seeing what they look like.

'Sigh, I'm still inexperienced.' Hidal touched the thick long black hair on his head, tugged it a few times and tried to cover his face but in vain, he could only silently come to the back of the two and wait in line.

Not long after, the door was opened and a customer who also wore a half-top hat with his head bowed came out from the inside and left in a hurry daring not to stop.

'It's really hard to remain inconspicuous in a place like this.' Hidal complained inwardly.

After seven or eight minutes it was finally his turn.

After he went in, he found that it was a little dark inside with only a kerosene lamp illuminating the place. It became even darker after he closed the door.

As Hidal sat on the customer's chair, the old man in classical robe and wizard hat opposite him said, "Tell me what you want?"

Hidal did not waste any time and said, "I want to know what Beyonder ingredients you have here and their prices."

The old man raised his head and glanced at Hidal deeply and emitted an invisible pressure.

'He's definitely a Beyonder!' Hidal concluded.

The old man didn't say anything and lowered his eyes again. He was not surprised by Hidal's request because many customers often have such requests.

The old man opened the notebook in his hand and said, " One human face rose for 280 pounds, two adult black-spotted frogs each costing 170 pounds, 150 grams of star crystal costing 150 pounds per 50 grams, the brain tissue of a water ghost…"

Almost two minutes passed while Hidal quietly listened to old man as he introduced the available Beyonder ingredients. There were about thirty kinds of Beyonder ingredients and all of them were low-level.

Fortunately the two main ingredients for Priest were listed at the total cost of 320 pounds. Hidal mentioned the ingredients he wanted and the old man stood up and searched through a cabinet at the back for the ingredients. Next he took out two small boxes and walked back saying, "Here, check them out."

Hidal took the boxes without any shame and he opened them and checked the content carefully. After confirming that everything was in good condition he took out 320 pounds and handed it to the old man. Then he put the two ingredients back into their respective box and put them away in his pockets. After making sure that the shape of the boxes is not visible through his clothes, he went out and left.

After exiting the store and returning to the trading market, he was not in a hurry to leave but prepared to walk around to lose any tails before leaving.

When he walked near Ademisaul again, the other party suddenly stepped forward and shouted frantically at him, "God, save me... save me, save me, take me away from this place!"

This piqued Hidal's interest. He knew that Ademisaul was extremely spiritual and that sometimes he could see things that others couldn't, he could even predict some things.

This is the particularity of people who are born as a half 'Monster' sequence. If they can embark on the path of Beyonders, their achievements will not be too low because they are 'born' with this sequence.

It's a pity that Hidal didn't know the Monster potion formula.

"Take you away? Can't you leave by yourself? Also, how can I save you?" Hidal asked rhetorically.

When Ademisaul heard Hidal's words, he looked down whilst grabbing his head and cried like a madman and said incoherently, "I will die.... I will die if I leave. I can't leave!"

Then he suddenly stopped crying, looked at Hidal and shouted frantically, "Only you can take me away...Only you can take me away... Take me away!"

He then suddenly retorted himself, "No...no...not now, not now!"

Seeing Ademisaul's insane appearance, Hidal couldn't help but take a few steps back. He couldn't understand what he was saying.

'I actually wanted to communicate with a lunatic!' Hidal shook his head in resignation. After the fuss Ademisaul had made, Hidal was about to leave the underground trading market.

Hidal however didn't know that when he came out of the building someone had recognized him. This man had messy hair and looked to be in his seventies. He was holding a large jug of wine in his hand and kept lifting it to his mouth. If you get close to him, you can smell a strong odour of alcohol. This is the former captain of the 'Deputy Punisher' team, and now the boss of the Evil Dragon Bar, Swain!

After seeing Hidal walking out of the building, Swain poured a sip of wine into his mouth and frowned, "Isn't this kid the younger brother of Dunn? Why did he suddenly come here to buy things, and it seems that he also bought Beyonder ingredients."

Although Hidal hid the boxes well, he couldn't hide them from an experienced man like Swain, let alone those sharp-eyed thieves.

So Swain raised his hand and called someone over and gave a few words to the man. The man glanced at Hidal, nodded and then walked out of the trading market .

It didn't take long for Hidal to leave the trading market and return to the Evil Dragon Bar. He didn't stop there and went straight out of the bar.

It's just that when he was out of the bar, a man squatting not far from the bar's entrance looked up. After making eye contact with a few companions in the distance, he stood up and walked towards Hidal like a normal passerby. But soon they saw that someone from the Evil Dragon Bar came out and was following Hidal.

This person was exactly the one Swain had instructed. His sharp eyes instantly swept across the man and his accomplices who were walking towards Hidal. Those people felt like they were being stared at by a poisonous snake and instantly shrank back.

Hidal also noticed the abnormality, glanced at those people and then turned around to see the sharp-eyed bar staff and quickly caught on to what just happened. He nodded to the other party as a sign of gratitude then wrapped his clothes tightly and walked to the carriage station.

Not long after the carriage came over, Hidal got in the carriage and left the dock area. After disembarking he walked towards the house cautiously. When he saw his single-family house, he felt a sense of security.

When he returned to his room, Hidal was a little scared again, "As expected, I'm still an inexperienced rookie. I went to the market to buy things without any means of protection. It seems that I need to get a pistol to protect himself."

"Fortunately I made it home in one piece, although I don't know why the guy from the Evil Dragon Bar decided to help me... Did he perhaps know me? By the way, the owner of Evil Dragon Bar is the former captain of the 'Deputy Punisher' squad. He must know Dunn and he likely recognized me? Seeing that I had bought Beyonder ingredients he probably asked his people to protect me and deter those who wanted to attack me."

Hidal is not a stupid person and he quickly guessed the truth of the matter through his own reasoning.

But these are nothing, the most important thing is that he can immediately become a 'Priest' and enter the circle of Beyonders!
