CHAPTER-2

A while after the New Year, everyone got ready to attend the graduation party that was arranged in the Sarcom hotel, where the university's graduation parties are held every year.

After bidding farewell to their parents, Alexander and Angelica both traveled in the same car, a white Zetra and reached their homes which is a 15min driveway from their university.

"I will come to pick you up in 15 min", said Alex as he watched Angela lithely walking to her house while nodding her head.

Alex went back to his house, got dressed, returned to the car and drove it back to Angel's house, and found her coming out of her house. She looked so beautiful in her dress that Alex stared at her for a few more seconds, which made her giggle and ask, "Do I look pretty?".

"You always were and now straight out looks like an angel". Replied Alex as he opened the door of the passenger seat. After she sat in Alex drove the car towards Sarcom hotel and reached the parking area of the hotel.

He looked around trying to find an open parking spot on the ground level. But there was no empty slot, he could only drive it inside the underground car park where he had to drive down to the second ground floor and found a parking slot at the entrance.

After parking the car, they walked towards the elevator only to find a not-working board put up before the lift. Both groaned and slowly walked back up through the drive-way. They got out of the parking lot and walked towards the entrance of the hotel.

Alexander held Angela's hand and they both entered the lift and reached for the 3rd floor where the party was being held. They got out of the lift and entered the door to the venue, as they went inside, many noticed them and were amazed by how perfect and beautiful they both looked.

Girls had hearts floating in their eyes and some even licked their lips as they saw Alexander walking in, while boys were looking at Angela with lust and possessiveness like they wanted to devour her. Angela's brow wrinkled seeing their expression, but Alexander squeezed her hand tight, letting her know that he was there beside her.

Her expression eased as she smiled at Alex and they both walked forward, garnering the entire attraction of the venue. They walked towards their group of friends sitting on a sofa.

"Hey, guys". Angela spoke towards them with a bright smile and went forward to hug her besties.

"Finally, the Angelic couple of our batch arrived". A girl spoke, making others laugh at that title.

"Angelic couple". It was a title given to both of them by their group of friends.

Alex and Angela laughed and Alex replied, "The underground parking lift isn't working, and it took time to find a parking lot, so we took our time to reach."

As they were talking the batch Prez went on to the little stage and spoke: "My dear friends, congratulations to us all on graduating. We are finally going to enter working society, after our long and arduous studies. So let us forget our future worries and live in this moment. To our bright future followed by a Happy New Year".

"Happy New Year" everyone raised their glasses and downed the drink. With loud cheers, the party officially started with loud pops of champagne opening.

Meanwhile, Antonio was grinning as he looked at Alexander as he knew the fervor and fame of Alexander was going to be destroyed.

After a few hours, it was already morning and Alexander was seated at the corner of the sofa talking to his friends who were light drinkers like him when his phone buzzed. He took it out and saw it was time for them to go back. He looked around for Angela and spotted her dancing with her friends. He stood up and walked towards her.

"Angela", he called her and said, "It's late, we need to go back. I am feeling tired too".

She turned towards him and nodded drunkenly and leaned forward on his chest. He sighed and put his arms around her and walked her towards the exit.

As they were about to exit the doorway, Antonio entered in with a smile. He seemed surprised to see them but smiled and spoke: "Are you leaving Alex?".

"Yes. Angela's drunk and I am tired." Replied Alexander without knowing that the man in front of him had planned his death.

"I see. Then I won't keep you both, Drive safe Alex". Antonio said and gave way for them to exit.

Alex nodded and went towards the lift as Antonio kept watching them while smiling like a creep.

Alex walked Angela to the lift and they entered it and he pressed on the 2G button, but it seems the lift was not working. He sighed and pushed for the ground floor, the door closed, and it went down in a few seconds.

He placed her on the sofa at the reception table and told the reception lady to look after her while he went and get the car. He walked out of the building to feel the cold chill of the morning washing him over sending a shiver through his entire body.

As he was walking down the parking lot towards his car, from his back a black car powered on and with sickening screech rushed over and crashed on to him.

BAM!

He was hit squarely on his back and the force made his body lift above the ground, at the same time the pristine white mobile flew out of his hand and crashed onto the ceiling above. And his body flew over falling a few meters away with a loud.

Thud!

The car reversed in an instant which seemed that this was not an accident, but done deliberately.

Alexander's body was bloodied with a broken spine and legs as blood flowed from his nose and mouth, and the head seemed to have hit the pavement when he fell down as the blood flowed from his head entering his eyes. While his face was positioned towards the car.

His eyes were moving indicating that he was still alive, but with such severe injuries and loss of blood, it's only a matter of time till his death. He saw the car backing up and returning outside, and he noticed that it didn't have any number plate or logo of the manufacturer.

Alexander thought, "Is this how I am going to die, on a new year? Though I would have preferred to die on the battlefield or old age. They say your life flashes when you are near death." But he didn't see any life flashing over, he was calm and serene, surprisingly he could think more clearly now. He knew he would die, so he just watched the car back up and return outside, a few seconds passed as his consciousness was losing him when he noticed through his bloodied vision a light coming towards him.

His will that was dying, flared up thinking it was someone parking the car, if they saw him, he would be saved. He tried to open his eyes wide, watching as the light became bigger and bigger until the light blinded his vision. And then, nothing. He lost consciousness.

In outer space, a group of meteors crashed towards earth pulled by its gravitational field. All of them burned in the atmosphere, but a small rock-like substance burned to reveal a metallic sheen inside, as the outer casing burned the inside was exposed to a metallic hexagon shape of few centimeters.

It looked to be Man-made, but surprisingly it didn't burn after being exposed to the atmosphere, it traveled through the atmosphere reaching the ground and falling towards Sarcom hotel's parking lot, where Alexander was lying dead.

As it reached near him, it lit up like it had found the destination and fell on Alexander's body. But, even after that heat and traveling through the atmosphere, it didn't burn or produce any kinetic force that should have been made after an object crashed with such force.

The object flashed blue. It then melted and became soft like mercury and started absorbing the blood around and on the body and then it turned blood-colored and entered the body of Alexander.

It felt magical to see all the blood disappearing on the ground and entering the body like the time was reversed at that place. In a few seconds, all the blood disappeared inside the body and the wounds closed, his broken spine, legs, fractured head, ruptured veins all healed back to normal. The only evidence to show that he was in an accident is his clothes that are disheveled and dirty.
