3 Chapter Three: Slaughter

With a cruel smile on my face, I butchered 6 more Goblins as I delved deeper and deeper into the cave, reaching level 3 on my player class.

[Your main class, Player has leveled up and reached level 3!]

[You have gained 5 free attribute points for free allocation!]

5 Points which I put into perception.

Then I looked at the couple of other notifications I have gotten over the course of the last couple of fights.

[Hunter Occupation has leveled up, you gained 1 AP in Perception!]

[Tracking has leveled up!]

Turns out, hunting Goblins is considered a part of the 'Hunting' Occupation.

I wanted to get my Perception and Vitality up to 25 since they were some of the most important stats related to surviving that I had.

Perception allowed me to hear and see better, making it much easier to hear the goblins and see any of their traps, while vitality made me healthier, increasing my likely hood of surviving a drawn-out battle.

Plus with the higher vitality I had, the higher the chance I would survive an infection, sickness, or even disease, and since this is still a Medieval World, people can easily die to common infections if they do not get healed by a healer.

So unless I learn some kind of Healing Mage class, then I would be screwed if I were to get majorly injured far from civilization.

Heading even deeper into the cave I killed over a dozen more Goblin, hitting level 4 and reaching the end of the cave.

After putting all 5 points into Vitality, making it 25, I entered the last room in the cave.

I was immediately hit with a foul smell of Sweat, Blood, Tears, and other disgusting fluids and solids...

Before my eyes were a couple of women who appeared dead inside as a Large Goblin and several smaller goblins used them...

[You have gained the General Skill, Identify(1)]

Then before my eyes, a small amount of information appeared above their heads as floating screens...

[Goblin, Lv 8]

[Goblin, Lv 5]

[Goblin, Lv 6]

[Goblin Chieftan, Lv 13]

I then looked at the poor women beneath them...

[Elf, Lv 12]

[Human, Lv 7]

[Human, Lv 4]

[Human, Lv 6]

Taking a deep breath, I quickly charged towards the chieftain who was above the Elf and as I tried running my sword through its chest, It suddenly turned around with its club aimed at my chest.

Cursing out loud, I managed to pull my weapon back and jump back far enough to dodge the club narrowly.

"Human!" Shouted the angry Goblin Chieftan in broken Common.

Within moments the Chieftan's naked goblin subordinates grabbed the weapons, but before they could even attempt to surround and kill me, I struck first, almost instantly killing the lowest leveled goblin before me before jumping back as the Chieftan's club swung down towards me.

Jumping back once again, I found that the Chieftan was looking at me with eyes filled with fury.

This is understandable seeing as I just killed one of his subordinates before his very eyes without him being able to even react and 'try' to save the goblin.

I say try, but Goblins are quite cruel and vicious creatures, the Chieftan wanted to use the goblin as a distraction for him to kill me but was disappointed that the goblin died before it could kill me.

I grinned and made the Goblin Chieftan who was slightly smaller than a Human roar in anger as I proceeded to kill another Goblin before him.

The small Goblin Subordinates were not close to being a threat to me, so it was quite easy to kill them and avoid the smaller Goblin Chief at the same time.

Before long I killed all the Goblins in the room beside the Chieftan, who stared at me with anger and fury.

I just smiled mockingly at the Goblin Chief that I was toying around with and finally decided to end this fight.

"It's been fun in all, but it's getting boring, and you're all I need to get to level 5, see you in hell!" I told the Goblin Chieftan before slashing its throat.

Now then, after distributing my 5 new points, I found that hunter leveled up again and that I gained a new class skill!
