4 Struggle

Qi Sensing, Qi Manipulation, Body Refining. These three "realms" are the foundation steps of cultivation. Body Refining is the process of changing the body, turning weak mortal flesh into something more powerful.

Refining the body so it can withstand the might of Spirit Qi within a Dantian. Body Refining itself was split into separate levels. The first body part refined was the skin. The skin was the organ which Spirit Qi has to pass through in order to reach deeper into the body.

Lu Min moved the Spirit Qi, absorbing it into his skin. It permeated it, altering his cells to become stronger and more attuned to Spirit Qi. As he was still an infant, Lu Min had limited stamina and soon fell asleep in his mother's embrace.

When he woke up, Lu Min was ecstatic " I am already at Body Refining at the age of zero! I literally started cultivating IN THE WOMB! Those despicable elders will die by my hand!"

He calmed. "Still, I don't know what my talent is. A few years extra doesn't make up for thousands of years of lifespan. I mustn't get ahead of myself"

His mother had placed him in a small room, with no windows and a dirt floor. "We might be poorer than I thought.." Lu Min was only more determined. He was going to become strong, and provide for his family!

Lu Min quickly and diligently resumed cultivation, as he drew in Spirit Qi he suddenly remembered that strand that he drew inside of him when he was not yet born. "That Spirit Qi went inside of my body surely?" He had absorbed Spirit Qi before he was born, in doing so he had absorbed it before his body developed a resistance to Spirit Qi.

In a state where his body was untainted by the mortal world, his body did not have any resistance to absorbing Spirit Qi. This allowed him to take the Spirit Qi inside of his body. The question was, where did it go?

Lu Min thought about this but couldn't find the answer, he decided he would find out once he gained the ability to look inside his own body. Resuming cultivation he bombarded his skin with increasingly large doses of Spirit Qi. Soon, his skin became able to be passed through by the Spirit Qi.

Lu Min was confused "My skin isn't yet fully strengthened, yet Spirit Qi can already pass through it? This makes no sense!"

He decided that it was due to his baby body not being able to be strengthened too much and moved on the the next stage of body refinement.

Muscle Tempering! He repeated the same process with his muscles.

Before he could begin though, his mother walked in and picked him up. She carried him to a separate room, presumably a kitchen. And plopped him on a neat mound of hardened stone that resembled a stool. Lu Yue, his mother scooped up an extra mushy substance and fed it to Lu Min, who protested.

Lu Min refused to eat that disgusting thing that passed for food! Weren't mother's supposed to breastfeed their newborn?!? Judging by his mother's bony and thin figure, she had nothing to feed. Extra Mushy food was the best Lu Mins family could afford him right now.

Realizing this, Lu Min relented and ate some of the hoop placed before him. HUNGRY! Between his developing newborn body, and intense cultivation Lu Min had an insatiable appetite. Watching him his mother sighed and had a sad expression.

His family would struggle to feed a third mouth, especially one with such an appetite. Lu Min restrained himself when he saw this, and nearly cursed. Until Xiantian, cultivators would still need to eat and to keep up with the needs of their powerful bodies they need to eat a lot.

His family couldn't hope to support a cultivators survival and development. Lu Min once again despaired, he would have to halt his cultivation to ensure his and his families survival! Still, Lu Min needed to press his advantage of reincarnation.

There was still many ways to grow stronger without physically needing more to sustain themselves. The first was cultivating the soul, though this was risky as he was still developing and the soul was the most fragile part of his existence.

Lu Min rejected this option out of caution. Next was the comprehension of Dao Laws! Dao Laws are the laws that embody and govern various aspects of the universe. Space, Gravity, Life, Creation, Yin and Yang. There are infinite amounts of Laws each their own way to Supremacy.

Sadly, comprehending Dao Laws was something done later in ones cultivation journey, not something Lu Min could do now. Out of ideas, Lu Min scoured his mind for information.

Exactly! Lu Min could learn and go over his various techniques and skills in order to advance his skill in them. Lu Min began looking though his mind for techniques, what he found astounded him.

The red orb his master had thrown at him contained the various cultivation techniques of his sect, this not only included Qi cultivation techniques but also soul tempering and Body Refining techniques! Yet looking past that, Lu Min felt a majestic golden rune. Branded upon his existence, Lu Min absorbed the information and power within it.

As he once more fell unconscious Lu Min felt his mother once again moving him to his "room" From the outside he looked like a regular baby, taking a nap as it grew. But little did the people of the world know, a Legend was about to emerge!
