1 Immortal Peak

There was a peak that reached as high as the heavens and above the clouds. It was separate from the mortal world and it's filth. In the air, pure Immortal Qi was abundant and concentrated. Inviolable and steady, this mountain exuded an aura of eternity as if it were there since time immemorial and would be there forever.

Numerous villas and lush green parasol trees littered the mountain, and at the top of the mountain a blue-robed elder with warm eyes drank from the morning dew and spoke. "You are the future sect master, and the sect master must have at least basic skill in all forms of art!"

A young man with sharp eyes and pitch black hair groaned as he continued to immerse his mind in the jade slip in his hands but soon gave up "No one is ever going to ask me to make them a 1 star pill, nor will a respected sect master ever need too!"

The Blue-Robed Elder lightly hit the young man with a cane "You fool! Our sect is the most respected in the land, the sect master is knowledgeable and commands the respect of the myriad races" Suddenly, the jade slip in the Young mans hands disappeared.

The young man smiled, believing that his master had relented and allowed him to take a break. "I am proficient in blacksmithing and talisman making, must I also be able to refine pills?" The young man found alchemy rather boorish and instead preferred to forge a weapon, or draw a talisman.

With a frown on his face, the elder dismissed the him "Lu Min! The traditions of our sect must not be spat upon! I didn't bring you to the Heavenly Immortal Realm for you to be this disrespectful!" Before Lu Min left the elder threw the jade slip at him. "You will refine the Nine-Petal Immortal Flower tomorrow!"

With a pale face Lu Min scurried away to let his master cool off. Soon, his junior sister and fiancé Xiao Meng approached him in the hall with a bright expression that faded when she saw Lu Min's pale face "Did father scold you again?! Let me help you with your alchemy practice. Even with your talent, the gap in our cultivation's can't be made up for"

Xiao Meng was right, as a Cultivators realm increased so did the level of their existence, thusly the power of the cultivators soul and body were heightened. Alchemy relied on the power of ones soul and as Lu Min hadn't cultivated a soul tempering method, his soul was much weaker then Xiao Meng's who was an entire Great Realm above him.

Lu Min refused as his pride wouldn't allow him to receive any assistance. "It only took me 5 years to cultivate from a mortal to now. I'm sure to overtake you soon" Xiao Meng refuted softly "Don't be so sure about that Mr.Confident"

Lu Min smiled and began walking towards his immortal abode, so he could begin his practice.

He swore that one day he would prove that his master was right to take him in, and he would make a fine sect master and husband.
