1 Where It All Began

[Avalon Kingdom]

The year was 600 and the skies were a midnight purple, simply beautiful. There was one castle far larger than the rest, it was the Vampire King's Castle. Inside that very castle was a little boy, he seemed to be 14 years of age. He sat at an old wooden desk alone reading through his notes. A knocking sound rang in his ears.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

The boy stood up and went to open the door. A man clad in black stood across from him. The man had a gentle look on his face as he looked at the boy. The man had a warm smile and his caring eyes made for a comforting atmosphere. He was quite tall and slender, his flawless golden hair cascaded over his shoulders and down his back. His eyes shared that bright golden colour as well. He has pale skin indicative of a vampire.

The man bowed slightly and his soft voice rung in the little boy's ears.

"Alucard..... at your service, Young Prince Kaizer."

The boy was a bit surprised to see Alucard but he greeted him sincerely. "Is it the Imperial Teacher Alucard here or is it, Uncle Al. No matter, I'd be happy to see both!" the boy had a big smile plastered over his pale face.

The boy Kaizer was much smaller than Alucard. Kaizer wore dark coloured robes. Most of his robe choice was pitch black but he had a few accents that were a dreamy purple. It was clear that he was royalty just from a glance. Kaizer was a bit paler than Alucard and his eyes were black and white, just like a normal human. He stood face to face with the Imperial Teacher and he managed to carry his confidence with him.

Kaizer had pitch-black hair that was tied up into a ponytail at the back of his head. The tips of his hair were an unmistakable vibrant white.

Alucard smiled at the boy as he chuckled. "You know who it's going to be today so don't be too stubborn. Remember this clearly, to be the future King of the Vampires you must pass the rights of passage set by your father, Dracula. One of those rights is knowing your history and also common knowledge. You must be powerful and you must be a scholar as well, you cannot neglect your studies."

Alucard and the boy walked over to the wooden table and both took a seat. Alucard took an old black book out from within his robes.

Alucard: This book looks familiar right? Well, it should because it's the book you've been tasked to study. I'll give you an hour to refresh and look at the book once more, you can even ask as many questions you want. At the end of the hour, your first right of passage will commence.

Kaizer was obviously a bit tired out. "Already? Didn't we just start studying a couple of years ago?"

Alucard closed the book shut as he placed it in front of Kaizer. "A Vampire Prince must be held to a far higher standard than normal or even royal inhabitants of the Avalon Kingdom."

Alucard took a look at the clock on the grey brick wall. "The hour time limit has already begun... don't waste any of it. Your first test on the journey to becoming the next Vampire King has commenced."
