Chapter 3 - A fight?

(Do note to all readers that I will be changing the title as well as the name of Kram since I can't write it as a guide or it would sound like a Yaoi story. )

Upon arriving at the safe zone, both master and familiar could see a crowd already there, curious, both of them immediately ran towards the crowd in order to find out what was so interesting to the point a crowd appeared.

"Hey big brother, why are you and the rest of these guys crowding around here." (Leo)

"Huh, oh, there was someone who pissed off a Blood Stake bandit so they got into a fist fight which ended up as the system recognizing the fight as a duel, causing the both of them to be situated in a duel zone and now they are going to fight to the death. "(Ray)

"Fight to the death?"(Leo)

"Yeah, before dueling, the system will alow you to pick either a deathmatch or a combat match for options. If you pick the deathmatch option, then only one person will walk out alive. If you pick the combat match option, either you or the opponent just has to have the intent to surrender from the match and both you and your opponent will be barred from dueling anyone for a week. If you were observant enough, I'm pretty sure you would have noticed that."(Ray)

"I just ran all the way here to get to a safe zone quickly as I didn't want to be turned into food."(Leo)

"Heh, you've got quite some luck to find a safe zone near you. Anyway, since you consider me as a brother, I guess it should be fine if I tell you some of the unspoken rules here, some have been found out by idiots, others are founded by gangs, bandit groups and other unscrupulous people. By the way, my name is Ray, what about yours?"

"My name is Leonard. Thank you for helping me out even though I'm a stranger you just met."(Leo)

"It's fine."(Ray)

Halfway through the fight, the muscular guy which wore leather armor took out a black longsword and cut off the thin man's head while the bandana(which was black with a grey cross which had blood dripping down it) was still attached to the man's head. Seeing this, the crowd immediately dispersed.

"Come on, we've got to leave. Quickly, follow me, I know a safe place we can hide in to avoid the storm that's gonna come."(Ray)

While saying this, Ray dragged Leo along with him. Going through a multitude of alleys before arriving at what appeared to be an abandoned small house.

After going in, Ray locked the door, hammered a few metal plates onto the door before finally pushing a large plank of wood against the reinforced door. After doing all that, Ray let out a sigh of relief.

"What the h*ll just happened and who were those guys."(Leo)

"The guy with that black longsword was an apprentice of the Black Knights, an organization which was quickly built after the apocalypse happened and are a top subordinate force of an high-ranked faction. They are members of a faction which were Charmed by the Devils, a race which has racial superiority towards Humans and only have 2 enemy races which they consider a threat to their existence, the Angels and the Dragons. The Devils usually work together with the Beasts whereas the Angels prefer to work with Humans. The Dragon race on the other hand, stay quiet unless something life threatening to their race appears."(Ray)

"So wait, your telling me that the guy who was so strong and had so much gear on him was only a part of a group which haven't even shown their faces?"(Leo)

"Yeah, they are incredibly powerful, still, in all of these conflicts which appeared only days after the apocalypse started, we innocent people are the ones who take the biggest hits."
