3 Eyes of Death?!

"Hmm, now where is that Registrar Complex?", thought Lewis.

It's been a hour or so since Lewis was teleported inside the campus, they've all been given maps and a list of procedures to register, though that wasn't needed by the second time for Lewis because he could easily memorize almost everything.

He was already done with all the other procedures except for registering itself.

He walked around the campus in search of the registrar room. The trees are neatly arranged in rows on the pathway, each of the trees' leaves are very lush as if it's made from emerald.

While he was walking, he observed the surroundings and the buildings, most of the houses in Qing Province aren't built from stone, however, the structures inside the university aren't just made of stone, but of enhanced ones.

"So that's the library.", Lewis looked towards a large palatial building with a dome on top and continued walking.

"Students' quarters?", Lewis then looked at a large four-story building that houses students in the university, though it might sound like it's large, but it's just one of the many student quarters in the campus.

"There it is, the Registrar Complex.", he then approached a two-story building almost filled with people in lines.

A two-story building might sound like small, however, the outer look of the is almost as big as the library in terms of width and length, while inside it, was an even bigger space that could fit in four Registrar Complexes!

"Spatial Magic?", thought Lewis.

Lewis then saw a man beside a line holding a sign, written on it was, 'Junior High', he then approached the end of the line, as he was about to do so, he felt itchy and dodged to his right side.

"Why is this scene so familiar?", Lewis thought, then he saw a girl, at the same age as him take his spot on the line.

"Oh, hello!", said the girl to Lewis.

Lewis thought, "Hmm... this is the same girl that almost bumped me earlier."

"Hello?!", the girl said again.

Lewis gave no answer: "..."

The girl: "Uhh..."

Lewis then checked the girl's internal magic orb, which was in color yellow, which surprised the former a little bit, but it wasn't showed on his face.

"Damn, you're like a blank piece of paper!", the girl said.

Lewis: "..."

The girl: "..."

Lewis thought, "It wasn't my fault, it's just my habit to be blank."

In fact, it's not his habit, it's just his special disease that makes his face look blank.

Lewis then rejoined the line by going behind the girl.

A few hours later, Lewis entered a small theatrical like room where he'll be tested. The people are separated in batches who would enter the test room to prevent congestion. The room was filled with mostly chairs and a table at the end of the room.

"Ehh... a battle simulator?", he saw a glass prism on the top of the table, with strange markings.

He found a chair near the far edge of the room and sat on it, as soon as all the students are seated, a man made from magical energy appeared behind the table.

The man said, "Welcome, I'm Professor Ron, because there are a lot of registries this year, I' will be prompt with what I will say. First of all, to all who doesn't know what this prism is, it's a special device that would initiate a battle simulation against a random monster. Secondly, you'll be graded according to your performances, the grades from lowest to highest are C, B, A, S, SS, SSS. Thirdly, you could only use your own power in this test, you must not use any supporting mechanism or anything that would boost your power, for example, pills, weapons, etc. Also..."

While Professor Ron was explaining, Lewis was formulating a plan on how to pass the test.

Lewis thought, "Hmm, because we're still in Junior High they would only spawn eighth-graded beast, plus I think I should not get too much of a high grade because it would attract too much attention, but not too low either because I might not get enrolled, so... probably A- would be fine."

Professor Ron looked at the list he is carrying, "Alright, so who's Hao Huang?"

"Me!", a teenager with an average height but seemingly sturdy body stood and went to the front.

"Alright, come in front of the table and focus on the prism.", said Professor Ron.

After which, a small beam of light pierced towards Hao Huang's forehead and put him into a daze, then light came out from the prism and projected a landscape of farmlands.

Hao Huang slowly appeared and was accompanied with a giant eagle like creature behind him.

"That's a Farmland Eagle, an eighth-grade spirit beast, it might sound weak but it could even overpower some seventh-graded spirit beasts! It mainly lives in a farmland and unlike an ordinary eagle, it is an omnivore, though it's much wilder.", explained Professor Ron.

Knowing what to do, Hao Huang immediately grabbed the eagle on it's claws to prevent it from flying away, he then threw it to the ground and started to punch it using magical energy with a cyan color.

"A crude technique but nonetheless still fighting, he has a orange internal magic orb.", graded Professor Ron.

The Farmland Eagle suddenly escaped from Hao Huang and flew up into the air, the eagle spread his wings and talons, then sharp feather projectiles shot towards Hao Huang...

Few minutes later the fight ended, resulting in Hao Huang winning.

"A+.", Professor Ron straightforwardly said.

Hao Huang shrugged then returned to his seat to watch others' battle.

"Next, is... Di Yi?", Professor Ron called out.

Then, a girl stood up and went towards the table.

"That woman who almost bumped on me two times?", thought Lewis.

"Di, from Di Family Merchant Association?", asked Professor Ron.

"Mhm!", Di Yi nodded.

"Well then, focus on the prism."

Di Yi did what Professor Ron instructed and a beam of light shot straight at the former's forehead, after which put her into a daze.

As what happened earlier on, a projection appeared and showed a grassland, Di Yi appeared in it and a large beetle like creature appeared in front of her.

"Golden Spotted Beetle, eighth-graded spirit beast, mainly lives in the grasslands, weak in attacks but strong in defense.", explained Professor Ron.

Di Yi immediately started attacking, her hands made a grasping motion and air suddenly appeared beneath the beetle which carried it into the air, then several wind blades appeared and shot towards the beetle repeatedly, as the beetle had a very tough self-protection it was hard to create damages on the surface of it's body, though it doesn't mean it's impossible, after a several seconds of bombarding wind blades, a crack appeared, then Di Yi directed all the remaining wind blades to keep attacking the crack until it made an opening which then the other wind blades entered and shredded the beetle.

It was a total annihilation!

"Simple, yet effective, S+!", graded Professor Ron.

Di Yi then returned back to her seat and looked at Lewis then smirked.

"Lewis Duftwolke?", Professor Ron called out.

Lewis then stood up and went towards the front without saying anything.

"Duftwolke? Seems like he's a foreigner.", thought Di Yi.

As what has happened earlier, a beam of light from the prism shot towards Lewis' forehead and transported his consciousness into an island in a middle of nowhere.

Lewis lips twitched and thought, "I have a bad feeling about this."

Then a giant tentacle appeared from the waters, and an another one, another one, another one, another one... eight of them all in total.

"That's the Deep Ocean Imperial Kraken, the one that attacked Hong Harbor three years ago, the real kraken is actually a fourth-graded spirit beast, however, as it is only a remnant soul of it, it should be an eighth-graded right now.", explained Professor Ron.

"No... no... no! Why does it have to be this beast?! He would certainly recognize me!", thought Lewis.

The kraken's main body then appeared on the surface of the water and stared right at Lewis and the latter stared back.

When the beast got a clearer picture of Lewis, the former's eyes went wide and used it's tentacles to choke itself to death.

Lewis: "..."

Professor Ron: "..."

Everyone else: "..."

Professor Ron said, "Is that... the "Eyes of Death?! Are you Chouren[1]?"

Lewis: "..."

Everyone else: "..."

Kraken: "..."

Professor Ron: "Your grade is SS+!"

Lewis: "..."
