"cough it up. you damn gobby."

A man from the group calls out. causing the goblins ear to flinch. That derogatory term struck a nerve in the goblin.

Another takes off his shoe and grabs his sock and throws it at the goblin "There you go your free master gave you a sock." The four men laughed loudly.

"Do you guys really have nothing better to do?" The goblin calmed himself pulling back his messy hair and scratching his light stubble asked with an annoyed tone. "You won't get out of this that easy now give us whatever you got. Now." The man in the black hoodie said pulling out a knife from his jacket pocket.

"Alright then" The goblin stood with his hands in his pockets. He had a calm expression. his mismatched brown and light blue eyes showed no sign of distress. not even a blink. one of the men lunged at the goblin attempting to grab his jacket, but his hand stopped. the man reeled back in pain and dropped to the ground screaming.

"My hand! He broke my hand!" The man wailed "How? He didn't even touch you!" another man yelled. "Screw this noise. Take this!" Another man screamed as he picked up a trash can and threw it at the goblin "What the f-" The man saw in shock as the trash can bounced back and but.him in the face.

The goblin sighed "You idiots really can tell when there's a barrier? I mean common sense is rare nowadays but come on."

"There's no way! Goblins can't use magic!" The man with the broken hand screamed.

"That's true goblins can't but he can." The goblin pointed to the entry of the alleyway.

A man silently stood at the end of the alleyway and stood motionless. His wolf mask seeming to glow in a red hue. The mask sent a shiver down the spines of the men who had turned to face the man "Son of a B***h! He's part of the M.I.A! Run!" One of the men screamed and attempted to run away but as soon as he went a few feet he collapsed. "Jerry!!" Another man in a red hoodie screamed "Stop playing with them and just knock them out so I can go home you drama queen" the goblin yelled. The man in the mask grumbled and complied *snap* the man snapped his fingers and all of the men fell unconscious.

"I swear just because you do magic doesn't mean you gotta be acting like your a monster. Strike fear into people" The goblin said as he walked to the man who didn't say a word. "You mind picking these guys up? I'm gonna go home" The goblin said. The man pulled out a drawing pad and began to write "Come on be a pal," The goblin said with a smile the man faced the pad to the goblin.

"Fine but you owe me one andy, and Dont gets too comfy at home. You know the boss has been a slave driver ever since we got our manpower cut." He wrote.

"Yea I know," Andy said solemnly as he walked off to go home. while he was walking he began to wonder what it was like to hate someone so much for just the way born "They act like I put mayo on peanut butter or something. I guess I'll never know how humans think." As he said that he bumped into an Orc. Quickly realizing this he apologized "Sorry pal".

"Shove it gobby" The Orc replied. Andy creased his forehead. He hated that term with a passion the Orc saw this, and looked at Andy dead on "Oh you mad gobby?"The Orc chuckled as he bent down. "Whatcha gonna d-" the Orc was cut short by a hit to the groin by Andys knee. "I'll likely do something like that. and this too" Andy threw a swift jab at the jaw of the Orc and connected with it. causing the Orc to blackout. After which andy began to walk again. "Looks like I'll never understand monsters either," Andy said with a chuckle putting the metal knuckles in his pockets. "Good thing i always keep old lefty on me" Andy continued to walk home.

In a cave at the edge of the city, two miners are talking while they work.

"Hey, John did you propose to Jane yet?" The fat one yelled out from one side of the mine.

"Yeah didn't you hear about our engagement party?" The tall one named John yelled back.

" What!?!? You didnt invite me!?!?!" The fat said with annoyance.

"Holy ***T" John screamed. "Listen it's fine I'll just go to the wedding and bachelor party," The fat man said dismissively. "No not that come here to check this out," John said and the fat man lifted himself from a hole and slowly lowered himself into Johns. He was confused when he saw some red glowing light emanating from it. as the man got closer he could see John standing close to the object scratching his head. what they saw was a large glowing crystal that had a black blob in the very middle of it.

"What do you think it is?" John asked "I dont know? Is it worth something?" The fat man replied "Well let's get it out of there then," the tall man said they both took up their pickaxes and began to chip the stone around the crystal to get it free. After an hour of chipping stone, they found a chamber behind the crystal and were in awe at its size "We can probably find something of value there but first let's get this crystal out of here!" The fat man said they both began to lift it and both of them were visibly straining to do so.

*Thud* They dropped it "You dope you need to workout more your nothing but bone!" The fat man said "Oh shut up the only workout you do in lifting food to your mouth" But as they were arguing something stopped them in their tracks a single sound.

*CRACK*

Andy walked down the hallway and began to open his door. when he felt a shiver down his spine but when he looked no one was there. so he chalked it up to nerves and went inside he closed the door to his apartment.

it was a small one room, one bathroom apartment, and as soon as he walked in he crashed out on a stained mattress in the corner of the room. It was under a board of pinned newspapers. he began to crash out but as he embraced the sweet lull of being pulled into slumber a jarring noise woke him up a noise he never hoped to hear.
