68 Chapter 68

" Commander, when will reinforcements arrive from the village ? I want to kill those damn explosion corps and especially that Kitsuchi. "

A Konoha anbu leaned against the wall inside a small cave and said in anger while coughing blood from his mouth. He had severe burn injuries on his chest area and would need years of time to heal completely.

One more anbu was standing near the cave entrance and he sighed heavily after hearing the words of his subordinate. He wore no anbu mask and had a face which had some similarities to third Hokage. His name was Sarutobi Akito and he was the first son of third Hokage Hiruzen and Biwako. He was the current anbu commander and had taken up this position after Hatake Sakumo. Now he was preparing himself for a decisive battle as he knew that he could very well die soon.

Now his team was completely gone as only Mukade remained except himself. He wont be able to help either as he was too injured. Akito just hoped that his old man had sent a powerful comrade to help him otherwise he would only serve as cannon fodder in this battle instead.

Yami who was assigned with this mission, had actually arrived one day ago already. He had placed his Flying Thunder god mark long ago near the location so he just teleported there in an instant. He deliberately did not meet Akito yet because that may expose his Flying Thunder god jutsu. Fortunately they did not encounter enemies in this time frame either. Yami had great connection with forest due to his wood style. So he could easily sense the enemies' location which made him frown.

There were precisely seven enemies but all were powerful and had special chakra signature which meant that they had unique bloodline. Six were elite jonin level but Yami was surprised because the last one actually had at least top Kage level chakra reserves.

Yami was now impressed with the capabilities of Hokage's son as he could survive until now even though he had barely mid Kage level chakra and no special kekkei genkai either. No wonder that his team was mostly dead by now as they could not possibly survive till now without casualties. Yami was also very surprised by the fact that Tsuchikage had actually sent his son for this mission.

Yami had some knowledge about Kitsuchi as he remember his appearance in the anime. He would have to show little of his capabilities this time from the looks of it. Yami now showed top jonin level chakra and strength to others. So he could only rely on eight inner gates technique this time too.

Yami decided to show himself so he deactivated his stealth and started walking slowly towards the small cave seventy meters ahead of him.

Akito was immediately wary as he saw Yami walking towards their location. They did not have time to find a better hiding place as Mukade needed urgent treatment. So Akito thought that the enemies finished treating their injuries from previous battle and found them so quickly. It was not his fault because he had never met Yami before and Yami had a very bad habit to not wear his leaf head protector most of the times. In fact it had been almost a year now since he stored it inside his inventory and forgot about it..

Yami could not care less about Akito's reaction so he just flashed a lazy smile at him and waved the mission scroll given by Hokage from afar. Akito immediately relaxed because with his powerful eyesight , he could easily see the Hokage's personal stamp on the scroll cover.

" My father only sent you alone? " Akito approached Yami without fear and could not help but frown after reading the contents of the scroll.

" Well yes. You needed urgent support and I just had to be a ninja specialist in speed. Anyway my name is Yami. It's nice to finaly meet you Sarutobi Akito sama.. "

Yami had no good or bad impression of Akito but had to treat him respectfully as he was Hokage's son after all.

Akito sighed as he massaged his forehead. It was his own fault because when he sent the request for reinforcements first, he had not encountered Kitsuchi yet who was a Kage level ninja. So Hokage could not casualty move Orochimaru for his support either.

" Its nice to meet you too Yami kun. That young man inside the cave is Mukade, he is now the only one remaining from my personal team sigh... "

" Don't feel responsible Akito sama, it is already commendable that you could survive till now. I have heard a lot about Kitsuchi from Iwa. He is top Kage level ninja and Tsuchikage's son. I'm a sensor too so I scouted the area before coming here. You should decide a plan as soon as possible because the enemy base is only about twenty kilometers away from here.."

Yami warned Akito with a serious expression as he had no choice but to follow his plan because he had a higher position than him..
