36 Chapter 36

The battle between Kage level ninja was really a flashy one. Pakura's scorch release jutsu vs Fugaku's sharingan dynamic vision and fire release jutsu. Yami was amazed by such high level battle.

Pakura noticed that Yami was exhausted and had stopped his mad slaughter so she felt relieved but her killing intent surged a lot. Yami's senses were at full alert so he naturally noticed such pure hostility but paid no heed to it as Pakura could not do a thing to him as long as Fugaku kept her busy.

Yami wanted to leave this battlefront and head towards others to kill more and more cannon fodder enemies for more kill points. Such large scale battle was a perfect chance for that job. So he ignored the rest of the enemies and focused on finding an opening in Pakura's defense to land a swift fatal blow on her. Fugaku's subordinates were having a hard time with enemy puppet users but they would fine for few minutes which was the time Yami could use as he wished.

Yami had finished analyzing Pakura's battle style roughly by now. She was clearly not a match for Fugaku but could keep him a bay because her scorch style had an advantage on Fugaku. Fugaku did not have much water jutsu in his arsenal . He had fire style jutsu which could at best tie with the scorch style.

Still Fugaku had way more battle experience than Pakura and could easily fight with her using the dynamic vision of his sharingan. He also had a passive boost to his molding chakra ability so Fugaku needed less time to use his jutsu. Yami was now sure that Fugaku was holding was way too much in this battle. He did not blame him at all because Yami knew that Uchiha clan received bad treatment from the village already. Fugaku could not do anything which would raise suspicion that he had awakened mangekyo sharingan already.

After watching for a while Yami was bored because he would have to reveal more of his ability if he wanted to interfere in Kage level battles. Pakura seemed to be completely absorbed into the battle with Fugaku but Yami could not find any easy openings in her defences so he decided to not bother her.

Yami created five shadow clones and sent them to kill all the remaining chunin enemies before thinking about something else. Fugaku's squad was an elite squad so they could handle the enemy jonin and elite jonins themselves. Yami wanted kill points so chunin were best option for him as his actions would also lessen the burden on his allies and allow them to completely focus on jonin and elite jonin class enemies.

There were a total of seventy three chunin class enemies left. Yami himself also joined the fray and started killing them using his short sword and swift release body Flicker. The toll on his body was nothing as all the damage from high speed movements was completely healed by his Sage body instantly.

Yami continued to fight for more than half an hour but succeeded in killing all the chunin in the end. Some proved troublesome as they could use puppets and poison. Yami was lazy to deal with them himself so he just used his shadow clones to deal with in his place.

Sunagakure deserved to be one of the five great hidden villages because they had many versatile techniques refined generations to generations. Yami was a nightmare for them though because he had copied Chiyo's knowledge and skill on puppet techniques and chakra threads. So he could easily see through the battle tactics of these chunins and disable their puppets quickly.

Pakura this time was completely speechless because Yami seemed to have too much battle experience. She regretted her decision to stall Fugaku here because now all her chunin subordinates were dead. Even her jonin and elite jonin subordinates were down by one third of their original numbers now.

" Retreat."

She did not hesitate now and shouted loudly while gritting her teeth in anger. Yami faked extreme exhaustion and did not think much of her hateful look. Inside his mind now one notion was clear. This world was messed up. If you dont want to die them simply dont stand in my way.

Yami knew that he had killed too many now and his actions could be said to be without emotion. He did not think much about this because the people who think as such were hypocrites. Yami could not let others kill him or his loved ones so he had no choice to kill them first instead. He was a soldier now so killing enemies of his village was his duty. He had always been a practical person. People are selfish and greedy and he is no different from them. He just likes to be lazy and hates troublesome matters. That's why he hides his real abilities from both allies and enemies alike .

Fugaku decided to chase Pakura and her group as he had no choice but to do so. They were all elites and it would be disastrous if they managed to retreat successfully and group with other enemies.

Fugaku stopped when he spotted the exhausted Yami who was breathing heavily and had collapsed on the sandy ground now. This small guy had helped him too much now and showed almost infinite future potential. Fugaku liked him very much because Yami was simply a great talent and had no I'll feelings for his Uchiha clan.

" Yami , you have done welll boy. Now rest until you recover and then go and assist other battle fronts. Don't die later as I look forward to meet you again. "

Yami smiled because he could see the respect towards him in Fugaku and his subordinates' eyes. This feeling was not bad at all. As he watched them leaving and chasing after the retreating Suna group, Yami's mind was lost in thoughts. He was contemplating whether to tell Fugaku about his sharingan or not. Yami now had a friendly relationship with Fugaku and he did not want to keep this secret from his friend. Yami knew that if Fugaku came to know about this secret later in future then things would get very complicated.. Yami was simply too lazy to deal with that that's all..
