Yami still had the lazy expression on his face as he carefully watched the slightest movements of Pakura and her group. He was feeling more annoyed by minute because they had stopped attacking for more than ten minutes already . They were clearly planning something big because small changes in battle plan dont require ten whole minutes to convey.

Finally he managed to spot chakra fluctuations from an elite jonin. They were well controlled and normal sensors would find it hard to sense them. The chakra fluctuations were small so they were definitely not for a ninjutsu. Yami felt something bad would happen if he just continued to wait now so he immediately went for the attack.

Yami's clones had never dispelled , he had just ordered them to hide deep underground using Earth transverse jutsu. The jutsu was a high rank one so it used considerable amount of chakra to use and maintain. Yami did not mind though because he planned to use the clones only for distraction and taijutsu fights.

Yami stealthily sent some chakra fluctuations underground from his feet and the next moment seven shadow clones thrusted their arms out of the ground and caught seven elite jonins legs in their tight grip.

Yami did not intend to waste this chance so he had already started heading towards the enemies before his clones moved because he simply knew it beforehand. Yami disregarded all defense right now but he was not worried because Fugaku had already started flaring his chakra to prepare a jutsu. He had shared the situation of his shadow clones with Fugaku during the pause for this purpose.

As expected Scorch style flame orbs came flying from Pakura who could react to Yami's speed. Yami smirked though because he had already been prepared for this. He used substitution jutsu before waiting until the last movement so that Pakura do not manage to see his situation soon enough.

The wooden log did not last even a moment before disintegrating but Yami felt relieved as he had already managed to arrive at the back of one elite jonin using yang release chakra to boost his speed more while still using swift release body Flicker jutsu. The toll on his legs was great as his bones were damaged by the strong burst but Yami had great pain resistance skill so he was unfazed and managed to slit the throats of three elite jonins during the movement. They died before even completing the hand seals of their jutsu because the sudden increase in Yami's speed completely caught them off guard.

Yami could not relax though as Pakura's and several others ' attacks were coming flying at him. Yami shook his short sword once to remove the fresh blood before smirking and disappearing from his spot in an instant.

Boomm..

Huge explosion covering more than twenty meters diameter sounded from Yami's previous spot but Yami acted like he knew that would happen beforehand and continued to kill more nearby enemies who were not able to react in time due to the instant reaction of Yami from before. Yami managed to kill two more normal jonin before he sighed as Fugaku's genjutsu was finaly casted.

The explosion from before was caused by Yami's shadow clone explosion jutsu as he had substituted with one and immediately started flashing using Body Flicker again. The jutsu may be suicide attack for others but for Yami the mental backlash was nothing as it was from only one clone and his mental resistance was above that level after using hundreds of shadow clones almost daily.

Yami nodded once at his shadow clones and all of them started using body Flicker at full speed while rushing towards the nearest enemy to them.. Yami on other hand again set up the targets on the enemies caught up in powerful genjutsu because he was free as Fugaku and his group were already keeping Pakura and her remaining elite jonin comrades on bay.

The enemies were pitiful because once again Yami managed to slaughter more than forty enemies before his clones were out of chakra and dispelled automatically. Yami did not continue anymore and immediately retreated towards Fugaku who was only thirty or so meters away from him. He again faked exhaustion of stamina but was charged up in reality because his body was completely fine due to his huge vitality which came from senju bloodline and sage body.

Yami felt relieved because he had guessed right before. The elite jonins were planning to summon their master puppets before as Yami managed to see the hand signs and scrolls inside their ninja pouches. Those damn strong ninja would have become more troublesome to deal with as they were members of elite puppet squad in first place. Yami felt great too because the prenomination came from his knowledge and experience of puppet manipulation skill which he had copied from Chiyo before.

Yami felt slight regret because he had to finish the job as fast as possible so he could only destroy the scrolls which sealed the puppets. He could have gotten good killer toys but oh well , not all things go your way everytime. So Yami decided to forget about it and started focusing on watching the battle of Pakura and Fugaku too see whether he could find an opening to attack or not..
