14 Lame Chapter 12

Crystal stared at him in confusion, her face contorted with awkwardness. This V-Headed teen had looked down on her for being a… Bigot? As she thought more and more of it, something in her head clicked.

She hated it, but it was true. She wanted to deny it, but Crystal knew that she was true, looking down on the handsome, the pretty, and such. Her disdain and past experiences had gotten the best of her.

There really were many things that the beautiful young woman had to think about.

Next Day….

The city of Ansan truly was sprawling, with looming grey apartment homes and countless shops and small eateries. Above, a row of flashing and colorful billboards lit up the surrounding area, and a few weed-infested pots sat to the side.

Garou slouched back in his chair as he munched. Fried Chicken was a substance that he very much enjoyed. He looked down at the greasy paper bag before him. Taking another small stick, he jabbed it into another piece and began to chew slowly, savoring that meaty, savory flavor.

While the fried chicken was something you could find all over Korea, there was still a lot of novelty that Garou found in it. He had a day off today and didn't really want to think much. Sighing wistfully, the silver-haired teen soon finished, getting to his feet slowly.

*Tsss….*

While it was turning out quite uneventful, Garou felt like it would change soon…. It was in his instincts to sense incoming and impending danger. Throwing away his trash, his calloused fingers drummed as he opened a Coke.

It was a bright red bottle with a tin cap, and as Garou downed much of the cold delightful beverage, his spine suddenly began to tingle.

Burping, Garou whipped around, looking out into the distance, But more specifically, a certain alleyway. Snuggly placed in-between two large old buildings, it was dark and foreboding, with a few beer cans tossed about within.

Rustling his wild hair, Garou walked forwards into the shadows. Immediately, he was assaulted by a fishy and boozy scent, that was honestly quite revolting. The alleyway was pretty cramped, with protruding parts and air conditioners.

A few small netted windows sat at random intervals, some torn and dark, while others completely blocked off.

*Blam!*

*Kchk!*

*Krt!*

"Aargh! Bas-"

"Get him!"

Garou narrowed his eyes slightly as he stepped into a small opening. Above, the sun's glow was high overhead, and a flock of pigeons fluttered about chaotically. It was early morning, and Garou had "jogged" all the way from Ansan here, which only took a few minutes.

He had arrived in a decrepit and ramshackle clearing. Like most shady places within narrow alleyways in any major city, it was filled with graffiti and trash. Vandalized oxidizing dumpsters sat unused and rotting in the corners, fading graffiti displayed various random things, and most importantly, a mob of delinquents beating each other up.

Now that he inspected it more closely, all of them seemed to be fighting… A young teen. A thing Garou immediately noticed, was the kid's mop of dark blue hair. Wearing a long-sleeved turtleneck and a pair of martial-artist pants, the lone assailant roared ferociously as he fought back against the horde of lackeys.

Stepping to the side, Garou stared down at a groaning bushy-haired teen who sat on the ground, bruised and battered.

*Bam! Wam! Slam!*

His arms whirling about like a pouncing panther, the young teen was a blue blur as his feet struck out at the enemy.

Garou watched in amusement as the boy's foot viciously slammed into a guy's jaw, sending him crashing to the floor.

Another guy attempted to bash the blue-haired fury on the head, but was kicked in the side and sent careening into a dumpster.

Despite the obvious difference in combat prowess, the delinquents made the classic mistake of thinking that "strength in numbers" would work.

Yelling as they charged, the group of idiots charged head-on, waving wooden planks, bats, and other makeshift weapons.

Seeing this, a serious glimmer entered the blue-haired teen's face as he clamped his feet into the pavement floor, breathing out subtly. The Horse Stance.

"Raaaah!!!!!"

The first of the delinquents to arrive forth, a ferocious crooked-teeth man with a pink mohawk raised his fist awkwardly, attempting to deliver a straight jab….

And then, it happened.

The Blue-haired teen adjusted his turtleneck cooly and straightened his hands.

*Ftwoom!*

Jumping into the air, it was as if time had stopped. Rotating his hips and arms with great perfection, blue hair acted as if he were a ballerina, spinning about. The young teen shot off his feet, as he twirled forth, his pointed shoe making contact.

*Brachm!*

"Wa-Rah!" Screaming, the blue-haired boy's foot sent every single delinquent stumbling to the floor, with a few directly collapsing from the brunt force of the attack.

But the lone fighter was not done yet.

Leaping into the air once more, the kid, clear blue eyes filled with rage and purpose, rained down murderous attacks upon the downed delinquents.

Garou raised his eyebrows. This was…. Taekwando. But it wasn't any ordinary Taekwando….. It was obvious that there was something else to it. The Blue-haired teen had moved with elegance, and flexibility much different from the standard Taekwando way.

Most likely was a derivative of the original….. There were many different forms and types of Taekwando. This one, in particular, seemed to deal much with acrobatics, and diversion it seemed. It wasn't too rare for someone to come across a new and supposedly "improved" version of martial art in the streets, so Garou wasn't really surprised.

The silver-haired teen watched as the blue-haired teen bashed and beat the delinquents down. It was a valid strategy that would take the thugs out and let him run away, no doubt. In fights, when one had the upper hand, it was quite common to make sure your opponents were thoroughly taken care of.

Two Minutes Later….

"God….." June Kang sighed in relief as he touched the side of his face, his cheek throbbing. To think that he would get himself into such a situation. That bastard Joshua Lim would pay… Sending lackeys after him just because he was friends with Chi-Hye…..

Spitting some blood on the ground, he dabbed his face with a wipe, stretching about. Staring up into the sky, he sighed. In the near distance, a giant glistening building stood. It towered above, piercing through the sky. Pine Corporation.

Glaring up, June turned around, dabbing some blood with a white handkerchief, before elegantly striding away. Above, the sun glowed, casting a sparkling sheen over his hair. Joshua Lim...

"Em….. Eh. Are you done?" Suddenly, June's stone grey eyes widened as he whipped back, immediately alert as a deep, lazy voice echoed across the small shady clearing.

"Who are you! Show yourself!" June yelled as he immediately raised his guard, planting his feet into the ground.
