When Lohan set foot on the school grounds, he was immediately bombarded by countless curious glances. Whispers followed him, the students clearly confused by the "new" addition to the school.

He couldn't blame them for not recognizing him; after all, he had changed a lot during those two months he was missing.

Unlike before, when he had a malnourished body that seemed barely able to stand, Lohan now had a powerful physique, visible even through the layers of clothes he wore.

Besides, he looked quite attractive because of it.

In fact, Lohan was never really ugly, but he was just too skinny for his own good, which gave a bad impression.

"Lohan?!"

Most of them got up from their seats, approaching him with excited looks.

"You finally came back!"

Lohan smiled at their excitement. They really seemed happy to see him, and it was good to know he had left such a good impression.

"Now that you're back, our department won't continue being trampled!"

'Damn, that dampened my spirits.'

Sitting at one of the cafeteria tables, Lohan ate his food in silence, not caring much about the noise around him.

But while he seemed focused on his own food, there was something he couldn't ignore, even if he tried.

"So why didn't monkeys evolve like us?"

"I already explained it to you, Vasco!"

And that was the two figures in front of him.

"Oh... I forgot."

Vasco and Jace Park... They just had a strange way of capturing attention.

Jace shook his head in disappointment, turning his attention to Lohan. "By the way, how are you? We haven't seen you since the fight with Hostel."

Lohan looked up, finally finishing his food. "I got a bit hurt after the fight, but I've recovered..."

Lohan rubbed his chin, barely remembering the battlefield since he was too focused on Olly.

"And you guys? I noticed you were pretty battered when I arrived."

Jace rubbed his neck in embarrassment, clearly not interested in recalling the defeat the Burn Knuckles suffered.

"We're fine," he simply replied, which Vasco nodded in agreement.

"Lohan..." But surprising the two, Vasco suddenly spoke in a serious tone. "I'm sorry for misjudging you. I really thought you were a bad guy. But after seeing you being an exemplary student and helping us with Hostel, I can see I was wrong."

"..."

Jace and Lohan watched in astonishment, as intelligent words were not really something commonly said by the guy.

"Oh, it's fine. Don't worry about it." Lohan smiled nervously, Vasco nodding to that with a satisfied look.

"..."

With that aside, the group started a common conversation. Lohan's personality might not be compatible with the two, but they were pleasant people to talk to.

Sneeze!

"Ugh! Damn!" Seeing noodles come out of Vasco's nose, Lohan blinked monotonously at that.

Pleasant as much as possible...

But while the trio was talking, they stopped when a shadow loomed over the table, Lohan noticing it and raising an eyebrow in question.

"Hey."

Lohan heard a voice behind him, making him turn to see eyes protected by completely dark glasses staring at him intensely.

A trait he recognized well.

"You finally came back, you piece of shit."

Vin Jin had come to welcome him.

Feeling a hand rest on his shoulder, Lohan frowned in displeasure. Getting into a fight so soon was the last thing he wanted. "We haven't finished our fight yet."

But even not wanting to fight, at this point, Lohan couldn't fear Vin Jin any less. In terms of power, Lohan could confidently say he was just a bit behind someone like Olly Wang.

Vin Jin, glasses or not, couldn't pose a threat to him at this moment.

Vin's eyes widened when he felt a grip on his wrist, his teeth clenching as Lohan stood up and pushed his hand away.

Vin Jin's eyes widened in perplexity, clearly not expecting a response like that from the guy.

"What?" A vein popped on the bully's forehead, but seeing how Lohan just stared at him with a disinterested look, he backed off with a huff. "Shit, whatever. Keep on with your stupid conversation."

Shrugging, he walked away, leaving Lohan staring at his back for a moment before just turning and sitting back down.

"..."

"Damn, that was a bit intense," Jace observed.

"Vin Jin is a bad guy, so Lohan acted well!" Giving a thumbs-up, Vasco drew a laugh from Lohan.
