The Fight

After I take the shot I wait for a couple of minutes then walk to the center of the crowd where everyone was waiting. I had Drew my father's Beta have the family come to confront their old Alpha one last time before I ripped his heart out. They each took turns saying what they had been holding in for so long. Then it was my turn: For the crimes you have committed against this family and the rest of your pack I have challenged you to a fight to the death. To which if you win you get my pack but once I rip your heart out your pack will be mine. Both Beta's stepped forward to state the rules which the only rule is nobody can interfere. We started off in human form I let him hit me a couple of times just so I can gage his strength and it's sad to say he is probably the weakest Alpha I have ever been around. I know a few newly shifted wolves who could most likely take him down. As soon as I started fighting back he couldn't do anything but try to block my hits as my movements were faster then what he could keep up with. I swung my fist and barely missed but that helped him out slightly the next thing I know is I feel a sharp pain in my leg. The bastard stabbed me with what I can only assume is a silver knife I'm so thankful that the shot is working but the pain from the stab wound is out of this world.

It takes me by surprise that my leg isn't healing like it should but I can only assume that it's because of the silver itself. The only thing the shot is protecting me from is wolfsbane and silver poisoning. I drop to my knees trying to regroup the best that I can. When the other Alpha starts laughing in my face: So how does a silver blade dipping in wolfsbane feel. I bet now you wish you hadn't challenged me you stupid bitch." I took a deep breath opened my eyes looked him dead in the face and just laughed: You think that I was going to be stupid enough to challenge a weak Alpha such as yourself without a backup plan. You have to be the stupidest wolf I have ever met." That really pissed him off he open hand slapped me in the face to which I laughed even harder: Was that supposed to hurt or tickle because truthfully I didn't feel a thing." Watching him get even mor pissed was entertaining but I had enough fun with him. So I stood up just as he was going to slap me again. I grabbed his hand mid swing his eyes went wide so I snapped his wrist which made him scream: How you shouldn't be able to move? You should be riving in agony that blade was dipped in wolfsbane." Everyone gasped so threw my syringe at his feet: Just a little something I picked up from the doctor. I didn't trust you to fight fare so I needed a little insurance." I put all my power into my next punch which sent him flying into the air. He hit the tree about 40 feet away he stood up coughing trying to catch his breath I think he might have broken a rib or two and punctured his lung. I walked up to him slowly and smiled at him: How does it feel to be weaker than even the smallest pup in my pack." He growled at me hoping that it would stop me but it didn't faze me whatsoever. I wrapped my hand around his throat and picked him up off the ground: This fight is over you are going to die." I let Aurora take over and her strength with mine made shoving my hand into his chest easy. As he screamed I wrapped my fingers around his heart. The fear on his face is the last thing I saw before I ripped his heart out I watched it beat for the last time before I dropped him and his heart on the ground.

I turned to his Beta and asked if he wanted to end up like his Alpha he turned pale. I looked at the family and they begged me not too kill him: Please don't kill him he is a good man with a family he was the one who made sure that we had some food and clothes set aside after he warned us of what was about to happen. We knew ahead of time that he was going to kick us out of the pack." I looked at him and he dropped to one knee and bowed his head: My life is your to take if you wish since I was the one who got the knife for him. He told me that if I didn't he was going to kill my pups one by one and make me watch as he do so. He also said he was going to force me to watch him rape my mate then kill her." I reached my hand out and lifted his chin to where he was looking me in my eyes. I refuse to kill such a kind hearted man who knew what he was doing could hurt him and his family but still helped out those who couldn't help themselves by going against his Alpha. I do believe he will make a great Beta for me: How old are you Beta?" If he is still young enough I will have him become my Beta he has proven who he truly is and I know I can trust him to always do the right thing: I'm 20 I took over the Beta position early because my father the previous Beta was killed by rouges.

Well he may be older then me but that means he has more experience where I maybe lacking: Beta please rise. I have a few questions I would like to ask. Would you and your family like to join our pack? If so would you like to continue being a Beta? Which that means you would be my Beta once I take over this pack you have proven your loyalty was and always will be with your family and your pack. I know you didn't want to see me get hurt but your family was your priority and that is the way it should be. If you say yes to my proposal then we will get a house set up immediately while you head back to your old pack and explain to everyone else that I'm their new Alpha and they will be moving here to this pack and help your family get packed and ready for a new adventure in what I hope is a great life for all of us." He bowed his head one last time: I would be honored to be your Beta I will leave right away to go and get everyone. I can't wait for you to meet my family. I hated my old Alpha but I didn't want to make my family rouges so I was forced to do so many despicable things in such a short time. Thank you so much for a second chance and a new lease on life." He was crying with each and every word he spoke. I turned to face my pack members and the other visiting Alphas: I would like to introduce you to the future Beta of the Blue Mountain Pack Darren Michaels." Everyone started clapping and those in wolf for howled in excitement.

Before he could walk away I pulled him aside: Once you return we will get you and your family formally excepted into the pack right away then we will let our wolves get to know each other along with getting familiar with your scent and your family's scent. A few days after that then will get the rest of the new members excepted into the pack as well." He shook my hand thanked me on more time then left. Now that that is taken care of I didn't even wait to flog back to the meeting room I figured I could just say what I wanted right here and get it over with. I got the Alphas attention: So here is what I need from you we already have groups out searching for my mate. We sent our five best trackers. So five groups of six wolves but that still leaves roughly 20 territories yet to be searched. I would like for you to send at least five of your best trackers out each be a group of ten just so they can keep each other safe in all situations. However I do not what them to try and rescue her on their own I want them to catch her scent and find where their hideout is. Then contact us so we can get a big enough group together and formulate a plan. We work together as a team that way nobody gets killed." They all looked at on another: We will get on that right away let's head back to the meeting room so we can each pick what territories each group will search. There are six of us Alphas that will give us plenty of wolves out there searching with extra as backup." We marked down who was going where and how many to each territory. Once we have everything planned the Alphas go to leave and I bowed down to each and everyone of them and thanked them for their help. With that now it's time to get everything ready for what is to come.
