10 CHAPTER 10

I smiled at the excuse I just skimmed for Mrs. Albert on my head grinning hard, I walked towards the gate remembering I need to tell dad about my car

“ Dad if you going to stay at home please fix my car it's refused to start" I shouted hoping my dad heard me

“ Okay honey" he shouted back smiled, at least he heard me I'm not going to use my leg to school again

I walk out of my compound increasing my pace, I could have run, but I'm not going to say I was shy, I just didn't think about that, too much of a big girl I guess

After ten minutes of walking the atmosphere was getting obvious that it wants to rain, I looked at the dark gray sky as the sun disappeared getting covered or engulf with the cloud, I looked at my top, my top is light and if rain falls now it's will get soaked making it very transparent, “oh my poor breast " I cried inside and sprinted before I even told my leg to do that, I was so close to the school gate, when I slowed down, hold my bag with one hand using the second one to open my bag and removed my hoodie, then I backed my bag again, using my hoodie to cover both me and my bag and kept on running to school, just as I was 10 feet from the school gate, it begins to pour heavily not pitting me

“ Fuck " I cursed looking at my almost soaked hoodie, in no time my clothes will be soaked, I passed the gate cursing the rain for falling now I check the time 9:25

I'm 25 minutes late

As I angrily walked towards the hallway, when an umbrella came over my head preventing the rain from falling on me, I cocked my head in the direction of the person and I smiled

“ Hey new friend,” Justin said using his bag by his side to hit my side grinning at me

“ Must you remind me we became friends like five days ago? “ I said smiling and he laughed.

“ Why are you late,” he asks opening a menthol sweet and throw it in his mouth

“ I could ask you the same question,” I said, stopping at my locker, searching for my book

“ I slept off,” he said leaning on side of the locker, waiting for me.

“ Me too, why are you waiting don't you have class,” I asked looking at him weirdly

“ We got the same class,” he said throwing another sweet in his mouth, and I was already tempted enough, I studied his hand looking if I could see another sweet, which he still had

“Oh, let's go”, I said and snatched the sweet, running and laughing

“ Seriously, you could have asked,” he said laughing and running to catch up with me

We got to the classroom and Justin step forward to open the door, I stopped him, I wanted to make a sweet entrance, he looked at me weirdly

“ I don't know you were scared”. He said resting on the wall, I rolled my eyes.

“ I'm not a sacred idiot, the entrance is mine to make," I said winking at me, and he laughed, I brought out my perfume, and he looked at me trying not to laugh, I rolled my eyes

“ What of Noah and Solomon, " I asked spraying my cloth and his clothes,

“ I don't know, I told them not to wait for me,” he said trying to dodge my perfume from touching him which wasn't working, I put my perfume back inside my bag

“Good,” I said, bursting the door open, Mrs. Albert stopped teaching and looked at me and Justin, and I faked smiled and looked at everybody all eyes were on us, and it was kinda creepy seeing how they were murmuring, when will high school just be normal, I turned to go my seat

“ Miss Wilson right,” Mrs. Albert said, stopping me from going to my seat, I turned and looked at her and turned to Justin he was leaning on the wall looking uninterested, and I smiled and nodded

“ So can tell me your stupid reason for coming late,” she said, and the whole class chuckled, some laughed lightly, now she is calling the reason I haven't even said stupid, by this time I started booking detention mentally

“ I had issues with my car this morning, which was mainly what made me late, but I would have gotten here a bit early, but the rain came and spoiled it all,” I said the excuse I had already formed in my head, I look at her waiting for her response,

but she looked uninterested, she told Justin

“ Justin, tell her I don't buy her lie to cover up that fact you two were making out before coming to class,” she said, using one eye to look at me, and the whole class murmured

“ Excuse me,” I said shockingly

“ Mrs. Albert, I'm not surprised, that how your brain works, so I won't feel offended,” Justin said leaning upright and taking a step towards her, as the whole class burst into laughter

“ Right like a Solomon' scat,” I said, and she looked at me angrily, and she thumped her foot on the floor

“ My cat thinks better” Solomon shouted, and I gave him thumbs up, the whole class was in a serious laughter phrase, with Justin eyes almost red

“ Nyinna Wilson, you are ....” Mrs. Albert said angrily

“ Come on tell.is that what you did in your high school days " I said cutting her short from whatever she wanted to say, and everybody laughed again, she looked at me looking red from anger

“ What? You started it remember,” I said smirking at her.

“ Get out of my class, you and Justin,” she said angrily

“ Hey Clara, min do you mind joining me, " I said smiling at them and they stood up and follow me and Justin telling Mrs. Albert sorry and the whole class was still laughing, we walked towards the gym

“ The worst mistake Mrs. Albert did was to annoy you,” Clara said laughing at the thought of what happened inside the class

“ At least you all saw her, she started it first before she goes cries to the principal,” I said and we all laughed

“ Like a cry baby” Justin added, adding to the laughter

“ But were you guys making out,” Noah said, and we all Flinch causing Solomon to laugh Making his curly hair bounce that was hot tho, we looked at the two of them

“ We were not making out, we meet on the way, and don't act like a ghost next time dude,” I said looking at him weirdly

“ But you guy smells the same, " Solomon said giving me a look. That says he buys Mrs. Albert's opinion.

“ That because nyinna sprayed her perfume on me forcesly, to make a ground entrance,” he said rolling his eye, and they all looked at me

“ What, it was cool,” I said rubbing my chin with pride,

“ Okay that is weird,” min said laughing

“ Forcesly,” I thought

“ Is there even a word called forcesly ?” I said raising my brows at Justin

“ That's my own English,” he said sheepishly scratching the nape of this neck as we all laughed again

, We talked for a while before that bell ran indicating a change of course

I got down from Justin car, waved bye, and got inside, feeling tired I saw a glass of orange juice on the dining table, I mentally thanked the reason my dad didn't go to work because I wasn't ready to cook, I drank the cold juice, then someone clears their throat, I looked up and saw a blonde woman, who was smiling at me, okay nobody wants to get home drink a glass of pure cold orange and discover a lady you have never seen in your life smiling at you like she carried you for 12 months in your house, then I realized something the orange drink was either for her or made by her

“Hello? “ I said looking at her.

“ Mary you can take the Nutella from the cupboard, nyinna won't freak if she sees you, plus we can use Nutella pancake to charm her in case...... " My dad said coming from upstairs and stopped when he saw me, and he widened his eye

“ Hey honey your home,” he said scratching the nape of his neck, I looked at Mary, she was as red as my top, and I looked at my dad who looking down avoid my gaze and was still scratching his neck

“ I guess you didn't want me home,” I said carefully, I haven't recovered from my mom he already brought a girlfriend, she looks nice, but my mom look nice facially of course, but I don't want to spoil it for him if he wants to move on he can move on, I'm cool with it, so this is me trying to be cool

“ No honey, it was just kinda embarrassing.. Emmm..you know. “ He stopped not knowing what to say, I bit my lip trying not to laugh, then I kept a serious face.

“ So you and Mary right " I turned and looked at her, and she nodded " you two should start by bribing me with orange juice and Nutella pancakes first,” I said sitting on the couch and crossing my legs, Mary chuckled and my father coughed in surprised, I get he was expecting me to freak out but, I need to help myself, plus that orange was nice

“ Okay dear I will do that, but your father his sick tho,” she said pulling my dad close to her and patting him, I looked at my dad, wait did my dad just lie to his girlfriend

“ Dad are you seriously sick,” I said smirking at him, and Mary turned to him

“ Carson Wilson you said you were sick,” she said raising her eyebrow at him and I laugh, she is not that bad

“ Emmm I was missing your company,” my dad said scratching his neck

“ Oh dad are you embarrassed again,” I said grinning at him, as I and Mary laughed

“ I will back with my charm sweetie,” she said going back to the kitchen
