1 Shadow

In Harlem a big fight was happening between two huge and bulky humanoid, "monsters" the defining traits of one of them being completely green with anger issues.

The other "monster" was a little more on the scary side with reptilian like features, it's as if you merged a green iguana with a human... a real abomination.

Swinging a chain around in a circular motion causing it to hit the helicopter behind hulk, abomination condescendingly looked at hulk and asked, "any last words?"

To which hulk angrily answered with, "HULK SMASH!!!" Then smashed the concrete ground with his fists causing the ground to rupture and catch abominations leg in the crevices.

Using this chance, hulk blasted off towards abomination, grabbed the chains and tried to wrap it around abominations thick neck intending to kill him.

Abomination tried to struggle but eventually succumbed to to hulks strength as the chains secured themselves around his neck, closing his air way.

Not letting up even after abomination had already passed out, hulk pulled even tighter, fully intending to kill abomination but a voice stopped him just in the nick of time.

"Stop!" By the smoking helicopter, a woman was looking at hulk with a bit of fear in her eyes, urging him to stop what he was doing.

Looking at Betty, hulks ragged breathing slowly calmed down as a police force suddenly came out surrounding both hulk and abomination with their guns pointed at them.

Hulk let go of abomination and threw him to the ground, he looked a Betty for a bit then forcefully stomped down on Abominations chest.

*Raaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!*

After releasing all his pent up anger into the roar, hulk looked back down into Betty's eyes before kicking abomination towards general Ross.

Hulk puffed out his chest and gave Ross a look but was interrupted by a big spotlight coming from a helicopter.

Squinting his eyes up towards the helicopter, hulk snorted then gave Betty one last look before he started running away from the scene with the helicopter following closely behind.

"What do you know... I guess that voice wasn't joking."

Within the crowd a young police officer watched as the green giant hop away with a look of helplessness before he turned to the other monster who was helplessly lying still on the ground.

A cunning smile slowly blamed on his face as he stared at the monster. He reached for the gun in his holster then suddenly rushed out as everyone was still stunned by the after affects of the fight.

Everyone was still looking at where the hulk took off and didn't even notice that the young cop was currently mounted on top of the abomination until the loud sound of a gunfire took them out of their daze.

*Bang!*

Immediately everyone was on alert and their head almost instantaneously snapped towards the sound of gunfire but just as they saw the young cop standing on the abominations chest another three shots were fired.

*Bang, bang, bang!*

"Well this is annoying, looks like I'll have to get my hands dirty!"

The young cop had a helpless look on his face as he stared blankly at the unharmed monster in front of him, unharmed from his bullets that is...

"Hey kid! What are you doing, get off of it!"

General Ross seemed to be angry as he pointed at the young cop while reprimanding him but it seemed as his words had no effect at all as the young cop seemed completely unfazed.

Turning his head towards general Ross, the young cop gave him a mocking smile before he jumped up and slammed his foot into the abominations head and completely crushing it like a watermelon.

Seeing the horrific scene many of the people there immediately emptied out their stomachs and directly fainted while a few stronger ones only felt weak in their knees and were on the verge of collapsing.

On the other hand the young man who caused this was completely covered in blood and brain matter. He looked disgusted but he didn't dwell on it and approached the dead body of the abomination.

"Y... y... you, who are you? What do you want?"

General Ross was standing frozen on the scene, shivering while holding his fainted daughter in his arms. The scene of the young man crushing the abominations head so easily was just too shocking to him.

The young man who was once again standing on the abominations chest with his left hand out, hovering over the body paused. He turned his head towards general Ross and gave him a cold look.

"You know... I never liked you and I would kill you now if you weren't so pathetically weak but for now, I'll let you live... at least until your corpse becomes useful to me!"

Hearing the cold words of the young man, general Ross shivered in fear but he also felt angry and humiliated by how the young man looked down on him saying that he isn't worth killing but just as he was about to rebuke the young man an impossibly scary scene made him hold in his words.

"Arise!"

The word coming out of the young mans mouth for some reason gave everyone who was watching this scene the chills and for good reason too as right after this word came out the young mans mouth, a humongous black figure slowly formed itself over the dead body of the abomination

"My king!"

As soon as the black figure was formed over the body of the abomination, it immediately got down on one knee and lowered its head to the young man respectfully.

It really was an awe inspiring scene as the 9-10 feet tall giant resembling the deceased abomination was now kneeling before a young man multiple time smaller than it.

The scariest thing however is that the abomination was only about 7 or 8 feet in height so one can only assume that the the new monster kneeling before the young man was most likely stronger than its previous self.

"Wh... what is that thing?" General Ross fearfully asked.

Looking at the monster before him, general Ross felt fear from the deepest parts of his soul, this was especially when he looked into the eerie green eyes of the monster.

"Remember, I'll be coming for you soon!"

Leaving behind a warning, the young man waved his hand aloofly causing the monster to suddenly vanish before everyone's eyes but what everyone failed to see was where the shadow disappeared into.

The young man gave one last look at general Ross or to be exact behind general Ross where his shadow was. A pair of green eyes mysteriously formed on the head of the shadow before vanishing.

With a smile the young man slowly walked away into the crowd of people. Of course everyone quickly moved out of his way including the police officers, no one in their right minds would try to stop the young man after what they witnessed.

Before long the young man was completely out of sight and everyone finally snapped out of their daze. Right now everyone was wondering who that young man was and weather he was good or bad... hopefully good.

The destruction in New York City caused by two monsters going at it with each other immediately blew up all over the internet, on every news channel and paper and on every social media platform.

It was truly a tragic day as multiple innocent civilian lives were lost, not only that, many people also lost their jobs and now had no source of income so it was a devastating disaster for those living in New York.

Many fingers were pointed and they were all pointed at the government and the hulk for the destruction in New York City. As for the abomination and the mysterious young man?

The news on the mysterious young man was varied, most put him in a bad light and made him seem villainous while some others somehow saw him as good claiming that he didn't kill any innocents and the abomination deserved its death.

There was one thing that almost everyone somehow agreed on and that was what the mysterious young man would be called. After seeing the young mans abilities and his behavior they started calling him, "Shadow!"

Meanwhile, while everyone was freaking out about the strange occurrences in New York. In a small bar unfazed by the destruction caused in the city, the young man everyone was hyped up about was watching the news on the bars tv.

The young mans lips twitched when he heard news relating to himself and the name the people gave him. He felt amused about the current situation he was currently in and downed a shot glass in one go before slapping down the money for the drinks on the bar table.

What he was currently wondering was why his name real name and face wasn't released to the public and he had a few guesses on why but he didn't know which could be the case.

It's not that he wanted his name and face released to the public, in fact this worked completely in his favor. He just isn't comfortable without knowing who was looking into him, especially that one eyed prick, Nick Fury!

Fortunately he was the best hide and seek player, if he doesn't want to be found, no one can find him, that's just how good he was at hiding and as for seeking? Well, let's just say there's no one that can remain hidden from him.

'Well, no need to dwell on it too much.' The young man thought as he got up and left the bar.
