"Yoo what is this?" Lonzo asked.
There was an application on his phone called "2k System". He opened it and saw all of its contents.
VC? Is this NBA 2k in real life? No way...
~Game 1 2019-2020 Season
A long-time has passed since then, Lonzo has still been wondering what this system is and how does he get VC. In NBA 2k you just had to play games, maybe that's what he needs to do. So he waited until the start of the season. The first game was against the... Houston Rockets. Lonzo checked his phone.
"First game is against the Rockets..."
"Pelicans are going to get blown out."
"Probably..."
"Obviously, Zion is fat af and Zo is a bust."
"Zo is no bust, he will prove you all wrong."

The head coach approached me.
"You're going to be the sixth man today, Jrue will be starting over you. Still, you'll still be playing 26 minutes a game so it's not that bad."
Lonzo looked down, depressed. The sixth man... he was the starting point guard for the lakers and now he's the sixth man of the Pelicans. Such a huge downgrade... was he truly becoming trash?
No... I'm going to ball out and get the respect I deserve. I'm no roleplayer, I'm a star! I'll prove it today.
"...Aight."
Lonzo looked at Brandom Ingram, pretty much the only person on this team he knew.
"Let's get this W."
"He nodded. "For sure."
~Shoot around
Lonzo used this time to shoot some threes and layups. After the buzzer rang, he sat down on the bench and waited to get called up by the coach. The Houston rockets won the jump ball. Then they started to absolutely tear up the starting five of the Pelicans. The Houston Rockets were showing no mercy.
When Lonzo was called up, the Pelicans were down by 15 points and the score was 8-23. It was the first quarter with 4 minutes remaining. It seemed like the basketball match was already over, but Zo refused to lose his first game.
But then Capela got the ball and viciously dunked it in over Diallo, the Pelicans were down by 17. Lonzo quickly passed the ball over to Okafor but he got blocked by Capela. They had the ball now. Capela got the ball again and shot a fadeaway, but he missed. Lonzo ball jumped and got his first rebound. Zo passed over to Diallo who then passed to Moore, he tried to lay it up but Rivers heavily contested the shot. Moore redeemed himself by getting the board and passing it to Lonzo. Lonzo dribbled, with Gordon on him, and put up a lightly contested layup. It went in.
"GIVE ME THAT."
Rivers got the ball and Lonzo locked him up from fullcourt and got a vicious, clean steal. He dribbled up, with no one guarding him, and shot an open midrange shot.
*BOUNCE*
The ball bounced off the rim and Capela grabbed the board.
~A minute later
Zo had missed three shots and made one since getting called up, his box score wasn't looking pretty. But he recently got fouled while taking a shot, maybe he could redeem himself by hitting both FTs.
"Come on... I need this."
Zo told himself. The first FT rolled around the rim and fell out.
"Damn it."
He shot the other FT and he missed. At this point, he was disappointed in himself. Then Tucker got a wide-open corner 3, and he swished it in. They were down by 20 points... 10-30. Zo got the pall and quickly passed it over to Diallo who made a layup it over House. In the next possession, Houston missed a wide-open three. Zo dribbled the ball up and saw that RIvers was sagging off. He pulled up from three.
*SWISH*
Zo smiled. Finally, a three. They were back to being down 15. Rivers makes a contested shot right over Lonzo, he gets angry and pulls up from three. It was contested by Rivers but...
*SWISH*
Lonzo now had 8 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist, 1 steal and shot 3-6 from the field... 2-3 from three. All in 4 minutes and a bit, the box score was looking good now.
Houston swish a contested three, Lonzo posts up on Rivers and gets a nice look from the paint. He lays it up at the buzzer. He has ten points at the end of the first quarter, Lonzo was being way more aggressive than usual... this was evident as he was the leading scorer!
