12 Chapter 11: Past and Present

"Oh wow... just the feel of being here is like something is just in there in the middle.." Edwin said while peeking into the large crater.

"Well then, after they fought Ms. Roxanne was heavly injured, Paul rushed to him to heal her so in luck Our hero survived her battle against the Ruler of the world.." Anne said while fixing the positioning of oranges on his basket

"A Young Rookie King Paul.. Man I wonder what was he like!" Komin said

Suddenly someone which was tall and look's like a lumberjack suddenly apeared."Anne!.." He said as it looks like he knows the Lady.

"Oh! Hello Uncle!" The Uncle patted her head as he come closer to Anne.

"What you got here? Tourist I supposed.." While he looked at the group and the group was looking at them also.

"We are adventurers, we have stop by here and Ms. Anne here is guiding us to some famous site here on Rivia.." Kerl said and then he bowed.

"Oh no need to Bow Kid. Well you better take good care of them here Anne, your Uncle just gonna go outisde to gather some wood."

"Ok" she replied

The uncle bid his farewell as he went into the forest to cut some trees. The tour continued as the man turned his back around. "Well then Fellas Let's go into the house where Roxanne previously lived!"

All of them just nooded and continued to walk yet again.

"God, look what have you done miss.."

Roxanne was in the ground uncounsious. They were bruises in her face and arms. Her clothes that were already dirty was even more damaged by the impact.

Paul rushed to see the lady as she held both of his hands on Roxanne, while a green orb appeared into his hand. Then suddenly while doing this he looked back to the destructive force they both created.

Suddenly Roxanne's eyes slowly woke up.. "how.. the h-hell you survived that?" While looking into his face. Her vision was still blurry and cannot focus on where she looks.

"I'm much more powerful I guess..." Paul just shrugged. He is neither that arrogant in terms of winning, He know's his strengths and weaknesses to a fight.

Roxanne just grinned while she stayed still, she was being healed she supposed. "I'm sorry alright. I just lost my Master to the Knights. She was beheaded and burned alive..."

Paul just felt sorry for the lady. Although he was disapointed Knights did that sort of thing he can't do anything about. " I'm sorry.. I flew by here by flight Magic but I feel inside the village."

"You must've hit my anti-flight array I installed.. ah!" Paul stopped on what he was doing but the lady lift her arms to signaled she was ok about it and so Paul continued.

"Look I'm only here because some Demon Beast have started to spawn into your town or close to you town.."

"Well I'll help you as an apology. Stop now, your healing magic sure is wonderfully strong I can get up now thanks" Paul stopped from healing her and lend her a hand to stand up.

"Come with me we'll go to my house So I could drink some medicine and some Magi potions...." As she tooks the hands of Paul she stood up.

Paul Bowed "Well, lead the way then.."

"Wow is this her home?!" Komin said

"It's sure took a beating..." Moritoko said. The tone of her voice even took a beating as her voice is just pure disapointment as she expected a grand house she could enter.

"The house was made from wood and is now a rundown... Look you see the house here is not the real one, it's an ilussionary Barrier. An Illusionary barrier can mimick a certain place, an outisde of a building and the inside, but once you go closer you will feel you hit an invisible wall, but as long as your Chi or Magic is strong you can break past and can go in it's the through Projectiles also." Anne said

"Then what makes this certain Place more unique than others normal barriers? Komin asked.

"The barrier here is simply out of the world created to protect the inside, simply its quite impossible to break" Then Anne went closer and smaked the Bubble barrier and her attacks just bounced and the impact just got absorbed by the barrier.

"Cool, to be so strong like that! She is truly is the Witch Of Carnage!" Moritoko said. As she was enlighten to see atleast something Roxanne left that she could see on her verry eyes.

"What is this? A Rundown house?" Paul asked as his brows risen in confusion.

"On the outside yes. But in the inside is another world come. I'll show you how the hell did I got strong on par like you..." As the lady signaled Paul. She leads the way entering the said barrier that nobody could passes through to enter what was inside of it.

"An Illusion Barrier huh..." Paul just listened to the lady as he entered in also. He closed his eyes while stepping inside the barrier. The feeling is just unordinary as it felt as you suddenly got engulfed on something slimy, he opened his eyes and saw something that suprised him.

It reveals a beautiful mansion with a garden filled with beatiful plants and colorful flowers and a pond filled with koi Fishes.

"To create such space like this.." and then Paul sensed a great amount of Magi into the place it seems the space she have created is one of the best way to train and cultivate as a Witch or a Wizard.

"Well I'm the only one who's allowed inside so please wait up here.." She said and quickly disapeared..

Paul saw a bench to sit so he sat there...

After few minutes She returned with fresh clothes and her wounds are now gone, she quickly notice Him..

"My name's Roxanne.."

"Paul" He quickly replied

"So How can I help you? Paul.."

Paul looked into the sky as he was amaze the world inside the barrier looks like the real world outside. "Well this town is in danger, a remenant of a vast demon Lord is here he is about Fifty percent of his Original Power.."

"I do Sensed Many Magic Beast lying outside this Teeny village although I have put up a defensive barrier around here so these beast actually don't attack here."

Suddenly Paul sensed something and quickly stood up. "Well He's here." Paul quickly went to the walked through the exit

"W-ha? How do you sense something from the outsides, time here is slower compared than the outside?." She questioned as she was intruged that something she didn't thought is possible.

"I have my reason Ms. Roxanne, come on I have a plan we could beat him up even his army.."As he went first to exit, Roxanne which just couldn't believe it just shook her head and followed Paul.

"Hmm same feeling as last time could it be?" Paul sensed something. Suddenly a huge explosion to the Walls on the west of them.

This starled them all of them as they focused their eyes on where they heard the blasting sound.

"What was that?!" Mercy questioned.

Anne saw it and her temper suddenly became hot. But then she saw the group and saw their worried faces and Anne was able to cool of. "Well you see my friends.. I'm actually a Village Leader here... I'm in charge of protecting my village" She said

After this their eye brows risen as they focused their eyes on Anne and was suprised an official from the Village was actually guiding them all along.

Well everyone exept Paul. He was never got suprised on the news as he already sense that she was not a typical village resident.

"Oh wow! Really then we have mo reasons to be mad for you.." Emin said

"Well I take my lead for a while if you people wants to join the fight your welcomed to we'll meet again after the fight..." She bowed while looking at Paul which is looking at her with a unsuprised glare, she looked away quickly after she saw both of his eyes staring at him.

Then she transformed to her outfit, A black mage clothes and so a large hat appeared into her head. Abroom flew by to her and he jumped riding it to where the explosion happend.

"She seems to knows about me? Or not...." Paul looked at Anne as she was flying into the distance.

"This Cave is the Fran Cave." Roxanne Said..

"Fran Cave huh. Woah!" A bat flew by their heads.

"Well this cave is still unexplored but tons of rumors said that this is the Gate to Hell even I this is my first time.." As Roxanne checked the surroundings of the cave.

"Well It looks scary but it ain't a gate into something..."

As they went deeper deeper only Roxanne was the light source because of his Light Magic she casted into the tip of her wand.

They walk and walk the entrance from the back seemed to have faded away... until..

A shaking occured to the walls..

"What was that?" Roxanne asked while looking at Paul.

"Hmph. it's him..."

Then suddenly tourches were lit up like dominos and it revealed that they were in a large space on the end of the long Cave. They was a throne and the one who was seated on was a half skeleton demon apeared to be seating on to the stone Throne.

"Bahahaha! A Knight in the Capital and a young woman dares to go here? Ey.."

"nteresting so this large space here were carved. this is supposed to be a dead end but they carved it the inside to make...." suddenly an explosion Happend into the place where Paul is standing

"LISTEN TO ME WHEN I'M SPEAKING!" He screamed with a scratch of his tone.

As the ashes faded away. Paul was unscratched from the blast he backed up in time to avoid the blast.

"Explosion Magic? No, demon Magic huh..." Paul said while wipping the dust into his clothes.

The tall Being laughed.. "Bahahaha! You seem to know something about me so..." he then drew this large sword that was even bigger than Paul's height.

"Come fight me..." he said with most pride in his tone.

Then suddenly Paul's face just frowed as his face says he was expecting something. "Wow, I expexted a full blood demon to have fifty percent of their original power but why the heck do you sense just Half of that?!..."
