14 Ch14 - Alexandria

The next morning, Yue Yang left early to see Lin Shuren. He was supposed to see her the previous evening, but forgot. Even though his and Yi Nan targets were supposed to arrive after several days, they could also come earlier than expected. He of course failed to get a response when he did his usual appearing trick, and there was no update on the targets.

He did give her the name of the group he was building with the girls. The name came to him when he woke up. He wanted something that could be linked to the female gender, that hinted to something great and revolutionary.

He was taking inspiration from something in his past world, and his mind took him to games. One of the first games he played was Civilization 2. And one of the things he liked was the competition between countries to build wonders. One of the first wonders one could build was the Great Library of Alexandria. It required Literacy and gave the owner scientific advances that 2 other kingdoms had. He used it to skip researching certain technologies.

Thus, he choose the name Alexandria. He was going to educate and train the girls, then produce and spread items that didn't exist in that world.

Wether eastern or western, fantasy world lacked some technological advances because of the focus on magic or cultivation. 5000 years, 10000 years or more could pass without any significant evolution. They were stagnating civilisations, and he came from a progressive one. He was going to introduce some progress to that world.

There were so many things that could be improved in the world. Calculating machines, printing machines, sewing machines, watches, barometers, gramophone, photograph, blast furnaces, steam engine, propeller, pneumatic tires, bycicles, flush toilet. Some modern fashion and entertainment elements as well. All those advances would mostly benefit common people lifestyle, but he intended to take qi and runes into consideration and make things for cultivators.

Alexandria was going to be a Wonder of the world. But there was still a lot of work to do until then.

After leaving Lin Shuren, he went to the city hall. There was no real estate agency. Anyone who wanted to own properties had to go there. The property he wanted was abandonned, in disrepair and in a lower quality area, so it was relatively cheap. It cost 150 gold coins, and he was able to pay in 5 instances with a first payment of 50 gold coins, and 25 gold coins for the following months.

He went back home to think about Alexandria's organisation. Lin Shuren would be the Overseer, the highest ranked member after him. Then, below her but under his direct authority would be his 3 attendants: 17 years old Xun Mingye, 20 years old Wei Zhihao, and 24 years old Kang Shui. Below them would be the 3 departments chiefs: 25 years old Cao Yuhan, 30 years old Zou Delan, and 33 years old Song Chan.

Cao Yuhan would be in charge of the group protecting Ah Xian and Shuang, with 6 subordinates. Zou Delan would be in charge of Alexandria security, with 4 starting subordinates. Song Chan would be in charge of the non-com employees, with 12 starting subordinates. With time, he would acquire more subordinates. And maybe 2 grimoires for Cao Yuhan and Zou Delan.

Even though only 15 girls were selected to be fighters, all of them would receive combat training. Strenght wasn't something that could be ignored in a cultivation world. The weakest of his girls should at least be lv3 Hero. And that was only for the non-combattants. The fighters had to reach lv6 Elder at least. He was going to bring his personal attendants with him to the innate realm.

But his focus would be on the 5 main fighters Xun Mingye, Wei Zhihao, Kang Shui, Cao Yuhan and Zou Delan. He would train them personaly. He decided to add Li Shuren as she was essentially his right hand. He would start their instruction the following day, while the other girls would be doing basic fitness exercises and studying. It would reduce his training time, but he wanted them to get used to the training regime before he would have to leave for Tong Tian Tower to look for Yue Bing.

After making his plans for the beginnings of Alexandria, he trained a little before going out to meet with Yi Nan. They went to the same place as the previous day and did the same as then. First a spar between him and Yi Nan, then a spar between him and her beasts. However, they added something they didn't do the previous day.

"We have spared human against human and human against beasts, but not beasts against beasts" Han Jeehan said to a curious Yi Nan. "Now is a good time to do it. That would also leave the beasts some time to heal before fighting our targets if they get too injured."

"Okay. I'm curious about what beasts you have."

He took out out 4 summoning crystal, and released his beasts.

"These are my wolf Amarok, my tigress Bastet, my lizard Gorm, and my eagle Thorondor. They are normal ranked lv4 beasts. They haven't experienced battle against a contracted beast before, and fighting your beasts will help with that."

There were 3 rounds. The first 2 were 2 vs 2 battles, and the last round was 2 vs 4.

The first battle was with Amarok and Bastet, and it ended with his loss. While his beasts could react to her shadow beast sneak attacks, that easily left them open to her spider beast attacks. While his beasts were slightly stronger, tougher and had better reaction speed, Yi Nan's beasts were faster, and their abilities more troublesome.

The second fight was even harder because the spider witch could easily counter his eagle and his lizard was too slow. It was an easy victory for Yi Nan. The third fight predictably ended in his victory, with his wolf negating the shadow beast sneak attacks for the lizard to counter attack, and his tigress and eagle keeping the spider beast too busy dodging one when trying to aim at the other. He needed to train his beasts more.

After finishing his training with Yi Nan and his own, he went to see Lin Shuren. It wasn't just to have an update on his targets, but also to give her instructions. He was going to start training the core girls in the evenings, starting 2 days later. He would leave them with some homework to do during the day. It would reduce his own training time, but it would only temporary, and worth the trouble in the long run.

'Damn, I'm becoming a training nut, like all cultivators!!' he shouted in his head before blinking. 'Well duh, I'm an idiot... It has become my main occupation, so of course it would take most of my time. Aaah... My attendants will thankfully provide much appreciated downtime. It's also a good thing I'm making Alexandria, else I would slowly discard the wonderfull things from where I come from.'

The following day was spent in its usual manner, except for one event. While sparring with Yi Nan, at one point he intentionally used a bit too much strengh in his strike, injuring her leg.

"Aaah!!" she shouted in pain as she fell down.

"Sorry! I got a bit engrossed in the battle and my control slipped" he said as he kneeled at her side. "Let me see."

He frowned as he checked her leg, and Yi Nan couldn't hold back her wince when his fingers brushed around the bruised area. Luckily, the injury wasn't too bad.

"Nothing serious" he said as he started to treat her leg. "You'll be completly fine tomorrow night at the latest. Again, I'm sorry."

When he prepared the items he needed to train his girls, he also got some first aid products. Such as a cream to deal with bruises. Since he had to take of her boot to heal her, he had her naked leg in his hands. And he liked what it. She had beautiful legs, and her skin was soft. While applying the cream on the wound, he also used his Angel Hand massage technique. Soon, the pain in her leg was numbed, and she started to relax as his fingers pleasingly worked on it.

"How are you doing? Does it still hurt much?"

"Mmh? N-no, it doesn't hurt anymore" she replied while slightly blushing.

"Is that so? I'm going to continue for a little longer, just to be safe. There is still the walk back to take into account."

"S-sure. Please do."

Yi Nan wasn't embarrassed at first because Yue Yang was dealing with an injury. When he asked her how she felt, she realised that a guy was running his hands all over her bare leg, and she was enjoying it. It requireda lot of efforts on her part to not become a blushing mess. When he decided to continue her massage, she didn't have the heart to deny it because it was really nice. And she was embarrassed about liking it that much.

Yue Yang didn't need to prolong the massage, but he really was sorry about hurting her. Plus, it was a golden opportunity to start some skinship with her. In the future, she would be less likely to refuse a massage from him, carving for more. He though it was a much better way to erode her defenses, on top of being more helpful, truthful, and treating her like a girl. His canon counterpart mostly just overwhelmed her with lewd topics and bullshit.

Once he was done, Yi Nan released a sight of both relief and disappointment. They cancelled the training session for the following day, as it wouldn't do to push the body too far when a deadly confrontation was expected. At least she could walk back on her own. After separating, Yue Yang pursued his own schedule for the rest of the day.

That included giving their first instructions to his girls. The non-com girls were given books to study, books on basic maths, sciences and biology. Enough to put them on middle school end level. The 5 future fighters were tasked to start cleaning the place, and Lin Shuren would calculate the budget to renovate the property.

He was also going to make uniforms for them. He would have to look for good designs and colors, with good materials. There would be differences depending on which branch they belonged. He also needed to make a symbol for his organisation.
