“You mean, I am,” Enzo rolled his eyes at him, “You spent most of the time reminiscing over everything you pulled out of the boxes.”

“Not true,” Freddie huffed as they took to their seats. I couldn’t help but notice how they sat opposite each other leaving the chair at the head of the table open for me.

They argued like an old married couple, and again I cursed myself for not realizing they were gay in the first place.

“So how long have the two of you been together?” I asked to make a point of the fact I’d managed to figure it out. They didn’t need to know that it had taken a few words from my best friend for me to figure it out.

I wandered into the kitchen area next to them to make my question a little more casual.

“We got together about two years ago but we’ve known each other, what? Twelve years?” I watched Enzo tap his bottom lip out of the corner of my eye. Oh, how I’d have loved to feel it between my teeth.

“Thirteen,” Freddie corrected.
